This shredder replaced a 10 year old unit from Rexel. It worked well until last week, so 10/10 for reliability and service. The new one works well, and is a lot quieter.My only problem is with the Amazon site which says "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought..." and lists Shredder Oil.When I read the user guide that came with the new shredder it says "This machine does not require lubrication.....accepts no liability.... should any lubricant be used...."How many people have bought the oil on Amazon's suggestion, only to find it is wasted?So, do not buy oil for this Rexel shredder (and other models?).

This shredder is great, hasn't jammed once , just remember the basic rules to never overfeed it! Shredders don't like to be used for more than a couple of minutes at a time as can overheat, and risk breaking the mechanism.Ideal in home offices, perfect for shredding up the odd document or two for home use you will find this a belter of a shredder.It has a very big waste bin and has auto and reverse as well as a shredder guard for stopping ribbons spilling on the floor when emptying ,they have thought of everything.Not much else to say, it's black it's good quality and it shreds very efficiently.

This is our first confetti shredder, replacing a broken strip shredder. It may not be the quietest we have used but it does a good job. It has an auto start, and reverse (to clear the cutters) and it can shred up to 5 A4 sheets with no problems. Just don't use it continuously or it will stop for a while to cool down, before you can use it again. Doesn't take too long. (I think this is explained in the paperwork that comes with it) The bin is a good size too, and is easy to empty. We have had this product for a few months now and have no complaints. It looks good too!!

I bought this to shred bank or insurance documents no longer needed and unsolicited mail, i.e. general domestic items. I wasn't looking for a multifunction system e.g. including CD shredder, so this was perfect. It shreds satisfactorally and is just the right size for my 'study' as well as having a suitable sized collection box. I seems well built and hasn't let me down yet but can't say wether it's sturdy enough to last for years like my last one - only time will tell.

I didn't want to buy any old shredder on the cheap but also couldn't see the point in spending too much when it's just for light domestic use. If you do as instructed regarding the amount of paper inserted there shouldn't be any problems and I found it did a great job at shredding my credit card! Got this one on a special deal and am very pleased with it.

Arrived on time, well packed, but easy to get into. Have used it a few times, and find it very good, the only thing you have to be really careful about is the length of time shredding. Does get quite hot, and takes a while to cool down. Other than that have no problems with it. Easy to use and empty, will do what I need it to do.

Having used the Rexel Alpha Confetti Shredder for two months I can confirm it works very well and I am completely satisfied. The label fixed to the machine warns you not to use it for a continuous period in excess of 3 minutes. I have respected this advice and do not find it unreasonable.

After a few weeks use, seems to be an excellent shredder, quiet and speedy and a lot lighter than the old machine.Unlike the older Rexel machine I cannot hang a bin bag inside the bin which means that you need to have the vacuum cleaner standing by after emptying.

I bought the strait cutter before this one and it only lasted for a year, this is the same make and I found it to be better as it cross cuts but I don't put any more than 2 sheets of paper in at a time, I think this will prolong it life, in all a very good buy.

The quality is outstanding not that thin plastic but really durable and with the money. The performance is just as it says but don't think you can feed 10 sheets and it will do the same just follow the instructions.

This is a perfectly adequate shredder for household and small office use. It was advertised at a greatly reduced price which made it much cheaper than alternatives. So far I'm pleased with the purchase.

I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She is very pleased with it, she has done an awful lot of shredding and it has not let her down. She is very pleased with it. Good value for money.

I have tried several different shredders & all have caused problems with blockages and unreliability. I have had this shredder for a few of weeks and so far it seems to work much better.

This works very well and is just what I need for personal paperwork. My only criticism is that it gets full quite quickly but is easy enough to empty. No problems at all so far.

Having recently retired I needed to clear out loads of old files dating back years. I found the alpha an excellent product for this task, does just as it says on the box.
