This is the latest addition to the Razer Mamba mouse family. It is a refresh of the Mamba Tournament Edition, which received lots of criticism for the laser sensor. The new Mamba has an improved sensor, it uses the 5G optical sensor at upto 16,000DPI, which feels great and has minimal lag and tracks the mouse pad surface very well. It also works on glass and various other surfaces and the mouse glides along very well. The mouse also has a tilting scroll wheel that acts as 2 extra macro buttons that can be programmed to any function, aswell as 2 buttons on the side. This mouse also features hypershift technology so you can map an extra set of macros from a click of one button on the mouse, when you run out of free macros. The mouse also has on-board Hybrid memory storage, which means you can store all your settings and move your mouse from PC to PC without losing all your macros and settings. The mouse also has improved rubber grips for better grip while gaming and more lighting zones for the aesthetic aspect. Which means lighting effects like wave appear more smoother on the mouse, also making your setup look more exotic and brighter.Overall, this mouse is one of the best I've tried (having used various mice such as the G502, SS Rival 710 and the Lancehead) and is a must for competitive gamers. The mouse is also frequently on sale for £60 (down from £90) which is a really good deal compared to mice the G502 which are similarly priced but have fewer features and are not as good as the Mamba.

The Razer Mamba Elite is a gaming mouse with plenty of convenient buttons and some great RGB LED decoration. It’s lightweight, has very sensitive optics and connects to your PC via USB. The packaging is both appealing and economic, and 100% recyclable. At time of writing I couldn’t get it to work with MacOS despite installing Razor Synapse - the mouse wasn’t detected., I later noticed that the packaging stated that it is for Windows 7 64 bit or higher (no mention of MacOS at all), so I’d tread carefully if purchasing for Mac. It turns out that you need Synapse 3.0 and the latest MacOS version is 1.10.83.As a gaming mouse its pretty good with all the features you’d expect from a Razor.Programmable buttons, and great customisable lighting effects - but then it isn’t cheap! The optics are really sensitive and I was able to use this on a table that, through much mouse use, long since became too smooth and shiny for my regular wireless mouse.I’m not going to pretend that I’ve deep knowledge of gaming mice - as a part time gamer and mainly on the PS4 at that - but I can appreciate a good one when I use it. Ergonomic, plenty of good quality buttons and backed up with good quality Windows software for customisation.

Overall, if you're looking at this mouse, you know what you want: Something with variable levels of sensitivity and several programmable buttons. This fits the bill. It, however, has a couple of downsides. To start with, my mouse didn't work perfectly 'out of the box'. The scroll function didn't work correctly, and if I 'clicked' the mouse wheel, the device would just scroll endlessly and rapidly to the end of the document I was on. It took me a while to sort this out, via a lot of googling and installing of drivers etc. Your mileage may varySecondly, I'm not a big fan of how the sensitivity is displayed. I like to see what sensitivity level my mouse is currently on,so that I know what will happen when I change the level (and so that I know what will happen when I move the mouse). In other gaming mice I've owned, there has been a visual indicator of sensitivity (e.g. a light). Here, there is nothing. So when I click the button to change sensitivity, it's hard to know what I'm going to get.

This latest version of the Mamba has extended battery life, which means less need to carry the charger with you. I do like that this mouse can also be used seamlessly in wired mode as well. There are plenty programmable buttons and features. This includes a variety of light displays. You can save different setups for different software if you so desire. The adjustable click force is an interesting feature, but I am yet to be convinced that it has any significant effect on game performance. It is certainly not a feature that I have ever thought that I would need in a mouse.Razer boasts the best sensitivity on the market, but again, do you really need this? The Mamba is a great mouse, that is fun and comfortable to use. However you are paying a lot extra for things that are largely superficial. I am even yet unsure that a wireless gaming mouse is a good idea, given that lost connections are inevitable. It doesn't hurt to have the option though, if you can afford it.

I love this mouse. Sometimes the image and the hype are lived up to by a product, not often mind, but when something does it's extremely satisfying. Before ordering this mouse I gorged on the graphics and the video and the colours and just wanted to get going and immerse myself into the neon world of mousey wonderfulness. I was really, really hoping that it wasn't a dud...It wasn't! This is a fabulous mouse in every way. It does look brilliant. It fits in the hand just right. It reacts quickly, with no latency that I could detect and it last ages on a charge- 50 hours is claimed- I haven't timed this but I would say this is accurate.I love the way you can change the colour of the lights and I love the fact that you can get a charging mat- Haven't got one yet; want one though!Wireless mice are so much better than corded. You have a great deal more freedom and with the charge holding and the low latency of the Mamba there can be no going back for me.

I have used Razer mice for some time and always found them reasonably comfortable apart from the tendency to rsi - perhaps I should play less.So far this does seem more comfortable, I can move the pad and mouse around more and therefore change wrist positionThere does seem to be a touch of lag with wifi, but this is to be expected, the bonus of less discomfort and no battles with a recalcitrant cable offset for my type of gaming - rpg and strategy where speed of response is more forgivingBattery life not quite what the makers claim but acceptableYou do have to open an account with razer to register and get updates, don't know why but hardly a hardshipComplex software for a mouse, personally 90% is irrelevant, though I do wish there was an option to switch of the leds - why do you need lights in a mouse? It is expensive though and I'm not convinced the extra expense is justified, but it is a pretty good mouse and it's wifi

What a stunning mouse. Until this I had been using a G703 but this has now replaced that. The mouse is well made up to usual Razer standards and the fit in hand is one of the best I have tried. It can be wired or wireless with the included usb cable and wifi receiver. I plug in when doing desktop work to charge it and its a simple case of removing the receiver from the cable that you will keep on your desktop close to the mouse. Battery life is ace though. The switches are lovely with a great actuation point and the sensor is an optical one so no angle snapping or smoothing to corrupt your aim.Theres onboard storage to remember your settings but using the synapse software form Razer allows customisation of the RGB lighting,DPI settings, remapping buttons etcI would say this is ergonomically much better than my G703 but I find synapse software not as good as Logitech, maybe personal preference.Really good

I am loving this mouse so far.It looks nice and feels very comfortable in hand. The cord is very long also and does not pull on the mouse. To get the best out of this mouse you do however have to download the extra software from the website to be able to fully configure the buttons and the chroma lights.I have to admit I have so far spent far longer so far setting up the pretty lights than the actual functional buttons. getting the right combination of flashing lights is obviously far more important than making clicks do what you want them to do......You can also set up a double functions for buttons by combining with a hotkey to flip to the alternative functions. The clicks feel solid andresponsive and the mouse wheel has a good action.Out of the box the two buttons behind the mouse wheel increase or decrease the sensitivity meaning you can easily have the mouse move at the speed you prefer.

This is no half-baked piece of kit, this gaming mouse aims to deliver excellent precision in a highly usable - and attractive package. To be honest, I am no fan of colourful LED lighting, I just want accuracy, thankfully this delivers both. The sensor is high quality, 16,000 DPI is immense, and the 9 programmable buttons feel equally good.I love the mechanical scroll wheel too, it feels really good and it's easy to be accurate - no miss selections using this. The actual hand placement is good too, this feels very ergonomic, another plus. The programmable chroma lighting is what it is. I don't need it in my life, others love it. I pretty much left it on default,it looks a bit silly but I'm not fussed.Razer has really upped its game of late, and as such, I have no issues recommending this great piece of kit.

This is getting some serious use just now on our house. It did beforehand but now with son at home and husband too the computer is being used for games, work and everything else so this mouse has had a hard time. What’s the best thing about it... you can charge it whilst still using it and that is a big major factor with it being used by all family members. It’s non wired so ease of using so much easier than a wired one especially more so whilst gaming. Son thinks it’s the most responsive mouse we’ve had. This has been used for months now and more so now and still as responsive, charging easy and life time well it just keeps going. This is one of sons favourite makes as he thinks it the fastest most responsive so when gaming he feels like he’s got some extra help against others he’s is playing against.

At this point in time it honestly feels a little pointless writing some aspects of reviews for Razer mice. The fact is, they consistently produce top quality, highly functional mice for both gamers and regular users. This mouse has exactly the same super-smooth gliding and tracking that you would expect from any mouse made by them. The provided cable allows you to use the mouse wired, as well as charging the mouse for wireless use. It is comfortable to use in the hand, and I like the grips on the side. Some people might complain about the lack of extra buttons and functions compared to some mice, but I personally prefer my mouse not to be too cluttered. This is just yet another high quality piece of kit from the producers of consistently high quality pieces of kit.

I usually link my 50" TV to the PC for watching stuff, but never for gaming because there's always a lag especially with shooting games. However, all I had to do was raise the mouse speed and voila! The lag was gone! So basically, if you have a projector that lags, this mouse is the solution if you're into shooting games, or basically anything you move with the mouse. Racing and football games still lag on my TV.The only downside I can think of is the noise the mouse makes, but that's just because I got used to silent mice. Maybe the battery life? I don't care personally because it's both wired and wireless.Great mouse, well worth the price.

... there are a few known bugs with the sensor. There are plenty of 16,000 DPI mice on the market but what set this aside for me that wasnt the pretty RGB (although a big plus) was the ergonomics, from the shape of the body to the position of the side buttons. To be honest I rarely use any DPI beyond 3000 but its a nice feature and good to know it is there if I need it. However, there is one known issue with the sensor where the cursor will jump a varying distance as the mouse is lifted above the surface. I think this is one of the best mice out there but aside from the sensor issue, I would have said this is the best mouse, full stop.

After using a razer death adder for the better part of 4 years I though it was time for an upgrade, but I didn't want to move too far form what I was comfortable with. That's where this came in. The shape is very similar to a death adder but it has the palm hump shrunk down a little which for me makes the mouse much much more comfortable. The battery lasts for maybe around a week on full charge for my daily sometimes constant use.The only problem I have is the dock for the cable and wireless receiver is a little light and often gets pulled off the desk by the weight of the cable.Over all this is a great mouse.

This is a pretty expensive mouse, to be honest, at this point it's probably worth more than my PC.Anyway, it is a good mouse, it's got a good weight, the buttons and the wheel has a good response. It's ergonomically nice too.The set up is easy, it's plug and play, plus it seems like I can use it alongside my older, less fancy mouse, which is nice. It's a little over the top, with the LEDs and so on, but it's designed well enough for what gamers seem to be interested in.It makes a lot of claims for performance. It seems fine, though can't confirm those. It is an improvement on my old mouse though.
