This is by far the best pool sim I've ever played. It's intuitive and just feels 'right'. I think this is thanks to the fact that the view stays in the first-person POV, after you've taken the shot, unlike the publishers other game, Hustle Kings', which switches to a pocket or follows the balls around the table, breaking that bubble of believability. With this game, you line up your shot, pull back on the right stick to the desired strength and then shoot. The camera then simulates you standing up from the shot, just like the real thing. The game even has a 'stand up' button, which allows you to walk around the table to better see the position of balls etc,

This game is awesome. As another reviewer said with no guidelines on it's very realistic looking. I like the home screen where you can just play without rules as if you were at a bar shooting pool with some mates. It gives you chance to practice how much power, spin, etc. to put on. I didn't know how to play 9 ball but now I do I like it better than 8 ball (though both are great to play). There's side games like clearing up all the yellow balls in a certain time; consecutive potting up to a certain number and killer pool where you lose a life every time you miss. Starting at Amateur level I'm aiming to have the guidelines off in the future but even with guidelines long shots are not a certainty as the line fades out the longer the intended pot is.

I purchased this today from the PSN store while browsing the sale, it was priced something stupid like £1.99 so I thought for that price I'll take it!I have never really played pool or snooker, let alone US 8-ball or 9-ball variants being here in the UK. But I've been playing this for a few hours today and I'm really enjoying it so far. It's one of those dilemmas - I'd really like to play pool or snooker, but then I remember I'd actually be rubbish at it. You kind of forget to tell yourself about the hours and hours of practice it would take to play and enjoy it at a decent enough level.So if you possibly fall into that category as well then this is your solution. It features offline and online play,

I mostly love it, how ever we all have different rules we like and dislike in a game of pool. One rule that is applied is the ball you aim for MUST hit the cushion, or it will be a foul and your opponent can move the ball. Im also not a fan of moving the ball, i like the whole *two shots* rule, and only move the white if its potted. (with the rule of two shots behind the line, but one shot above)It is also heavily based online play, which is fine, but i wish it put more into the offline mode, i would love to watch two masters play against each other, or have my own tournament with computer players. I don't mind playing online with a friend, but not strangersbut its a tenner, so all in all it gets a 4 star,

I think this is a great game. I've been looking for a good pool game for ages and am made up with this.I only play offline so can't comment on the online features.Lots of modes to play offline, level up and earn better cues. Very realistic graphics and game play. As realistic as you can get without going to your local pool/snooker hall.I like that you can change the colour and style of the cloth.I also like that you can play English pool which is called Blackball on this game.10/10 A definite must buy

My virtual pool mad son, ten, enjoys the ubiquitous mobile game '8 Ball Pool' which he plays, continually, on his Android pad. After spending far too much money on credits (grr!) Mr Random suggested that we purchase this for the PS4. So far so good - it's quite simple to start playing, but to get really good will take practice. I do like the thought that we can play online with other people and engage in tournaments.The graphics are great and really remind me of our local bowling alley. Spooky.

Great game! Graphics really nice. If anyone want to play snooker can get it online for around £3. So much better and cheaper than just snooker game (I have both). Definitely enjoy it. Good feature that you can stand up from the table. Very much real feel. Haven't seen top view, like other games have, but hey we can't see that way in real life either. So yeah, great product.

Great game, very realistic game it's even more realistic one u put it on hard which I think everyone should do there no point playing with guide lines cause u don't see that in real life when u play pool, changing the difficulty won't change the cpu opponent it only takes of markers when u play. Take a break from fifa and cod and play this

Pretty good game. Long shots are tougher with the limited guide line... which makes online play that bit more competitive. I would like a top down view, and the ability to change the view when the other player is at the table. Just minor complaints really. Overall, a cracking pool game with crisp graphics

The Eight ball & Nine ball pool games are excellent,very playable and very addictive.The snooker section of the game is very good,but is let down by using the same cueing sounds and table theme noises as the Pool section.A very enjoyable game all round.

Downloaded this without doing any research, what a gem.Fantastic controls and presentation, can't stop playing it.Snooker is much more difficult.Shame there is not more playing online, as you can not always get a match.

What a pleasant surprise this game was. Fantastic controls and really great graphics. The game play is really nice and smooth and the music and setting remind me of the days where many pool bars were around.

Wow I've had this game now for just about 24 hours and I love it the game is challenging but fun too some neat little challenges. Now all they need to do is invent a snooker game and I'd be first in the cue

Good game keeps you busy and has great challenges to help you rank up from beginner to master, the online seems too slow normally have to wait ages to connect to a player but overall a good game.
