I bought a pack of 24 Philips LED Classic 5W GU5.3 spot lights to be used as follows:1. Seven in a bathroom (using individual electronic transformers, vintage 2005).2. Three in an attic shower room (using individual electronic transformers, vintage 2005). Of these one was not working because a transformer had failed a year or two previously.3. Nine in a bedroom, fed in two groups of four and five (using a pair of identical non-electronic transformers fed from dimmers specified for use with transformers, vintage 1995). I set the dimmers permanently to maximum as the LED bulbs are not dimmable.4. Five spares.First I removed the non-working halogen lamp,

Having previously purchased cheaper LED bulbs to replace less efficient halogens, I was very disappointed by the quality of light that also suffered from a horrible flicker. Having investigated this problem online I expected that the only way I’d be able to fix this was by installing dedicated LED transformers to each light through my existing wiring. However, having read reviews of these bulbs I took a punt and it has paid off! The bulbs are a little on the expensive side, but I now have useable, good quality lights with no flicker! Well worth it in my opinion and I would highly recommend. Far easier to install than the transistors would have been,

They're good-looking lamps and are attractive as a 'ladder' of five on overhead wires. They give excellent lighting over sink and work-tops. In a previous review I said that a single lamp didn't interfere with a dab radio, whereas a cheaper LED spotlight had. Alas: the string of 5 does cause burbling and sometimes loss of signal. So I'm going to replace the electronic driver (the root cause of the radio interference) with some old-fashioned technology: transformer, bridge rectifier, reservoir capacitor and voltage regulator! Once a nerd, always a nerd!

This bulb replaced a halogen bulb in our shower. The light is bright with an even spread and is cost efficient being an LED bulb. As always an excellent product from Phillips manufacturing. Delivered on time. Really pleased.

Replaced GU5.3 halogen in a down light vent in the bathroom. Had to change the transformer to an LED compatible one to be safe but looks great.

Excellent quality LED, look great and the light tone and quality is as good as the halogen bulbs replaced.

Spares. I had 2 spares but used one fibre optic spare this year. 11 hears per day.
