This lovely little starter set is just perfect for use alongside breastfeeding. I believe that it is important that, once breastfeeding is established, you teach your baby to be able to accept milk from a bottle. This doesn't have to be formula milk, as you can use it with expressed breast milk inside. the importance of teaching a baby to feed from a bottle means that it is easier if you need to mix in medicine, or if mum needs to be apart from her baby for a short while. The set includes four different size bottles, teats, a dummy, and a bottle brush. Absolutely perfect for parents who are only using them part time. The teats are marketed as being 'natural'and shaped in such a way that baby can easily switch from breast to bottle without any upset. The teats are slow flowing, and this makes it easier to use in conjunction with breastfeeding, as many babies prefer faster flowing teats as they are less work than feeding from the breast. The bottles make use of two anti-colic valves. This could be of great use to new parents with colicky babies.Overall, I really think that this is a great little set, particularly for use alongside breastfeeding.

Ordered yesterday and received today, love Prime service! The set arrived nicely packaged and I really like the quality and the style. My daughter is 4 weeks old and I bought these bottles so I can give her milk occasionally so she is used to bottles and if I need to go somewhere my husband can feed her. I am breastfeeding only so I have pumped the milked first. I was worried she might not like the bottle but she sucked almost non stop and seemed to be happy with it. I also think she did not get much air while drinking but I am not sure whether this is due to the bottle shape or because I held the bottle so that the teat is full if milk (this way the baby won't get air in milk when sucking). She did have one big burp when she finished though, but she gets similar ones when she sucks from the breast if the flow is too quick. Very pleased with the bottles so far. By the way, they don't leak - I only used one small 125 ml one from the set so far but it's great. Will see how it goes.

This set is excellent value for money (especially at the time of publishing this review) and is a godsend for new parents for whom the world of bottles and baby accessories can become an overwhelming nightmare. There's everything you need to get started and the bottles will take you from newborn to six months. As they are compatible with the breast pumps from the Philips Avent line you can basically just purchase everything from one line and have it all work well together. I personally found this essential when I first had my baby as there is so many things to consider and think about having an actual set that I could just pick up in one go took some of that decision-making off my shoulders.Once you get a better handle on things you can take the time to look about and consider other models or different models from the same range but I would recommend this set to all first timers!

Avent has always been the reputable brand for baby products since... oh, before you were born! And this set is a great starter kit for parents-to-be.The pairs of 20oz and 40 oz means that whenever one is in use the spare can be used alternatingly, then upgraded to the bigger sizes when baby's arm get long enough to hold on themselves."Petal" is a great product description of the comfort shape and anti-collapse system at the base of the teat, and the twin valves help reduce colic and build up of bubbles.Handily the cleaning brush has a threaded opposing end to allow for thorough cleaning of the teat and the beakers are made up of sturdy, resistant plastic. Most importantly for a starter set,the bottle tops work across the Avent range, allowing for swappable tops.Great value for mummy/money.

I have used philips avent natural bottles for my sons and I love these bottles because my boys seem to feed from them very easily. They are good to use if you are breastfeeding and topping up with formula or just formula feeding. They are also easy to clean. This set is very good if you can buy it at a reduced price. I have not used the dummy that comes in the pack so I cannot comment on that but the rest of the items are very good. The bottle brush is a bit big so you will not be able to use it for other bottles like the medela ones. There are only 2 small bottles in the package so it will be a good idea to purchase some additional bottles so you don't have to sterilise them so frequently.

We purchased these bottles after our daughter didn't take to the Tommee Tippee bottles which we had initially bought. She seems much happier with these bottles and has no problems feeding. The bottles are very easy to clean and sterilise (they will also fit into a Tommee Tippee steriliser with no issues). This starter set comes with 2 small bottles (4oz) and 2 larger (9oz) bottles. We've only used the smaller bottles so far but they are of good quality.TIP: I have noticed that these bottles can leak sometimes. The solution seems to be lining up the air valve on the teat with the plastic locking ring on the plastic collar. I'd also recommend that you don't over tighten these bottles.

A good range of bottles with both avents smaller bottle with number 1 teat and larger bottles with number two teat. This allows you the option of trying both to find which suits your little one.Avents recommended age for the number two test is from one month, however health visitor advised me that this was okay from birth. The bottles are a nice shape and easy to hold. Opposed to some thicker, rounder bottles which can become uncomfortable to hold during long feeds. This set also includes a bottle brush - I was dubious about the necessity of this but it is absolutely essential and a dummy which I haven't used but is useful to have and is a nice small size suitable for newborns.

I love the new Avent natural range. We used Avent anti colic with out first baby 2.5 years ago and they had the extra ring which went inbetween the teat and bottle and if you forgot to put this in the milk went everywhere!!! The new natural range has flexible teats and they look more like the shape of nipples and they have got rid of the extra ring and the bottles are still extra colic so no more nasty shocks at 3am when milk pours over your baby cause your half asleep and forgot the anti colic ring. The brush that comes with it is a bit rubbish (in my opinion) doesn't last very long but I prefer a different brand bottle brush.

We went the whole hog with Philips Avent stuff and it started with this kit which offers the smaller and larger bottles, teats and washing brush along with a pacifier. You wont really need the larger bottles until they are a bit older.Team these up with the Microwave Steriliser and your sorted. You will need to buy larger teats as they get a bit older as the ones supplied have a slower flow rate for newborns but that's not a problem. The brush is designed to clean out the harder to get bits of milk residue which you on't want to leave in the bottle and does this job well.Haven't had to use the pacifier but seems well made.

When looking at the Avent range I was initially really struck by the streamlined design. The wide-necked bottles and naturalistic shape had a lot of kerb appeal from my pointof view and I was not disappointed with my purchase.A big plus is that the bottles can be used for combination feeding which can be difficult, and I have to say this proved not to be the case.I also found the items easy to use, easy to clean, and the teats did not ‘flatten’ which is what happened when I bottle fed my children, many moons ago!A great product! Just ask Jane, well you may have to wait from a verbal reply but her smile tells all.

I was really pleased with this. The bottles are good quality, having 2 sizes is particularly handy as baby will start drinking more over time. Having a bottle brush is also a nice touch (the pointed end is good at cleaning the teats). I didn't use the dummy (pacifier) but it was sturdy and came with a cover as well.My son found it easy to drink out of the bottles, the teats are flexible and allow liquid to flow through quite easily.I have the Avent microwave steriliser and it will fit all 4 bottles in with ease.Overall I've been using Avent products for over a year now and am really happy with them.

This is another decent bottle set from Avent (I've had a few of them now) and includes 2 x 4oz bottles and 2 x 9oz bottles. You also get a curved brush to clean these bottles with and a pacifier too.The set includes something called a 'Natural Bottle' which is designed to make bottle feeding a more natural experience for your baby. It's natural shape means it's easily accepted by your child as it has a similar shape and softness to mum's boob. The bottles are, of course, BPA free and the tears designed to feel natural, like nipples. All in all, this is a good set that any baby will enjoy feeding from.

If your a new Dad entering the bewildering world of "baby stuff" just 1 word of caution. I have used all Philips Avent - well when I say I , i mean my wife and baby obviously -Breast pump , Streiliser and bottles and teats . All excellent .However the larger bottles have a size 1 teat and are very very fast for your newborn.Expressed bottle feeds were gulped down much to our consternation until we figured it out. We stayed on the smaller bottles and bought slower teats after thatNot a criticism, Im sure its explained on the packaging but you look at a plastic bottle and think Meh , how hard can it be

I never had to use baby bottles before so not sure what’s the best, but I’m pretty sure glass bottles would be much better for environment and cleanliness. Plastic is easy but we have to stop easy and start what’s right. I’m planning to breast feed so a small package of 2 small,2 big bottles should be plenty. The delivery was with me 14h after ordering it, which makes it excellent for those in need specially that items were ordered with standard delivery. I also researched that Avent are the best, and it was mostly bought as they have a great breast pump and other items that all match together.

These bottles feel SO much better than the old avent style, the grip is better and it's more ergonomic. My son decided he didn't like the medela teats that came with my breastpump so I just express then pour the milk into these bottles so they are ready to go into the fridge. These bottles don't have that stupid anti colic ring under the teat lip inside! They really are a good upgrade from the old avent bottles that just seem so bulky. The bottles clean and sterilise well and don't show any sign of wear as of yet and we've been using them for around 2 months now. We use cold water sterilising.
