My 6 month baby girl has been exclusively breastfed from birth and we have struggled to give her expressed breastmilk due to her not being used to taking a bottle. Prior to trying MAM bottles we tried a number of different branded bottles with very poor acceptance. I was offered the opportunity to try the MAM easy start bottle set which I took with great pleasure.The instructions for cleaning and sterilisation prior to first use were clear, concise and easy to follow. The bottles are easy to take apart and clean thoroughly and can be sterilised a number of ways including self sterilisation in the microwave which i personally think is great and much quicker than other methods of sterilisation.The bottles within this set come in two different sizes. Both size bottles are practical and easy to hold. The teats provided within the set are soft, pliable and slow flow which were perfect for my daughter to stop her guzzling down her expressed breast milk and getting wind. Due to the shape and texture of the teat, these bottles were accepted well by my daughter, much to my delight and these bottles allowed us to pace feed her with no issues. Within this set you also get a ‘hold my bottle handle’ and a ‘extra soft bottle spout’ which I have been using with one of the smaller 160ml bottles to give my daughter cooled boiled water with her meals as we are in the process of baby led weaning. These handles allow her to easily hold the bottle and get it at the correct angle to suck on the spout in order to drink the water at mealtimes, which is great as other ‘sippy’ type cups we have tried are extremely hard for her to use due to angling of the spout/ drinking hole. This set comes packaged in a colourful and descriptive cardboard box with photos of the products on. The box is informative and details exactly what products are within it and tells you about how the mam bottles help reduce colic, how to self sterilise in 5 easy steps/3 mins, why they have 94% teat acceptance and other useful pieces of information about the products it contains. As I mentioned before the instructions for this set are clear, concise and easy to follow. They are in colour and have step by step pictures which make them easy to follow and they cover all aspects of the products contained within the easy start bottle set. This set is brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to either bottle feed or express breastmilk to feed their little ones. The MAM Easy Start Set has to be the most perfect starter kit for feeding your child. Even if you have already bought other brand bottles these bottles sterilise without a sterilising unit so you don’t need to worry about buying lots of new equipment. The unique selling point of these things is the way they dismantle and assemble so easily. It’s nice to be able to clean and prep a bottle when visiting family or friends and not have to worry about trekking loads of stuff about. Each bottle separates into 6 pieces and sterilises in the microwave with a bit of tap water put into the ring in the bottom. I researched MAM bottles when my son was born prematurely.I was breastfeeding him a few weeks after he was born but also wanted to express and feed him with a bottle so that my husband could be involved. These bottles came up repeatedly in searches saying that premature babies took best to them after trying lots of other brands. We found that our son took to them instantly. We now have a 5 month old daughter and have used this kit for her. She moved seamlessly from breastfeeding to MAM bottles seamlessly. As a result of using the pacifier that comes in the kit, she has begun to show preference for the design of this over the other one she was using so we have invested in more. Both children are not very ‘sicky’ babies and we have put this down to the vented base of these bottles although we have nothing to compare them to after using MAM bottles for both from the start and they may just not be sicky babies by nature. We are currently using the bottles with number 3, fast-flow teats and she has experienced no problems at all. We’ve also added the handles for her to practice holding instead of holding our hands to guide the bottle to her mouth. We’re also introducing the bottle spout to her so she can practice drinking rather than suckling. We haven’t yet used the sealing discs but I think they’re a great piece of kit for prepping milk and storing it ready for use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I absolutely love the MAM easy start set, it really is perfect to get started with, with the small 160ml size bottles, to switch up to the larger 260ml bottles when your baby is bigger and needs a larger bottle. I was keen to use MAM bottles as they look much more attractive than many other bottles on the market. We struggled with feeding from an early age, as my baby struggled with tongue tie. This caused problems breast feeding and we transitioned to bottle feeding. The MAM teats seemed a good transition from the breast and my baby took the MAM teats straight away. The tongue tie made her a very messy drinker. We tried nearly every bottle to try and stop the leaking milk and the MAM proved the best.The teat and nipple seemed a nice shape to sit in babies mouth. I also found the anti-colic aspect great, you can hear the air escaping from the bottom of the bottle as baby sucks and drinks.A big benefit in these bottles is that the teats are easily removed, enabling you to replace the teat with different flow rates as baby requires, without having to go and buy loads of new bottles. However, the main highlight is how easy these bottles are to clean as they all come apart allowing you to ensure there is no residual milk left in any part of the bottle. By far the main benefit over other bottles is that these bottles are self-sterilising! So no big bulky steriliser is required, just a microwave. This meant for me I didn’t need to take loads of bottles with me everywhere I went, I could easily clean and sterilise wherever I was when required.I absolutely love these bottles and haven’t needed anything else beyond this set. I love that MAM have a whole range of products including the soothers (where 1 is also included in this set) to keep the teat the same. From birth my little boy had a bad latch, so we had to give up breastfeeding, I had bought a cheap set of bottles to have in incase of any problems, yet his latch was still bad and he was taking in lots of air causing lots of wind and a very colicky baby. We bought every bottle on the market to find the right one, this is where we discovered MAMs Easy Start bottles. The teat is the perfect size for little ones mouth, it is silky and soft to encourage acceptance, my boy took to it straight away. The self sterilising feature is fantastic, eliminates the need for a bulky sterilizer, and you can sterilise 1 to 6 bottles at a time, perfect for traveling too.The lid has measurements on which is handy for preparing to sterilise or if you have any feeding issues you can use it to accurately measure how much is left at the end of a feed. This set comes with 4 small bottles to start for newborns and larger barrels to progress to as baby gets older. It comes with a newborn soother, bottle seals and a handle for when baby can hold it themselves. We use the handle on a smaller bottle for his water at the moment, so he can get used to drinking with meals. Lastly the bottles are beautiful, with differnt colours and patterns, making them attractive for babies, we have quite the collection now. My little boy always grabs it as its coming towards him as its a good size and has a textured outer making it easy to hold and less likely to slip. I was so pleased with this set. I absolutely love MAM's self sterilising bottles for their ease. They come apart into small pieces making them much easier to clean than standard bottles, and of course they sterilise in the microwave without the need for an actual steriliser machine. We really struggled to find a bottle that my breastfed boy would take to, but he happily takes my milk from these teats and bottles. The great thing is about this set as it really grows with baby, Rather than having a million different sized bottles from tiny ones for newborns to bigger bottles for older babies, these just have different sized middles all included in the set.You simply screw the bottles together with the right sized middle for how much milk you need. This set also includes a dummy which my little boy loves and a handle and teat to turn the bottle into a sippy cup. This is great for my little boy who is just starting to wean and learning to drink water as well as milk. This modified bottle is great for transitioning him from a bottle to a sippy cup, and the different teat helps him to recognise that its for water rather than milk. As a breastfeeding mum whose baby only has a bottle a day, this box really is everything I need. I suppose if you were exclusively bottle feeding you might need two of these to make sure you always had a clean bottle, but you really don't need anything else. Not even an electric steriliser! I got two of these for my twin boys and they are probably the best purchase I made. We’ve been using them 11months now and the bottles are still going strong. The pictures are still on the bottles unlike the other brands that chip off after a few weeks, I’d say even the teats are more robust. One of my boys is always chewing and tugging them and there’s no sign of any damage at all.They are easier to clean because it all comes apart and that gives piece of mind knowing you can really get into every corner.We never bothered to buy a separate steriliser as never needed to, and have only purchased an extra 2 pack of mam bottles (because they were cute)and had a couple of the free tiny ones to make it easier in the early days when they were on less milk. I used a different brand for my last child and spent a fortune in the first year replacing bottles or teats.Cons are they are a little heavier than some other bottles I’ve used. But not enough to really notice and my boys have had no trouble holding them themselves.Replacement teats are expensive, but I’ve had no need to buy any.

I have tried a few different bottles but my baby will only take from a MAM teat. I did try Dr browns with a mam teat also but ended up going back to these. The only thing I find annoying about them is the bottom of the bottle with the rubber insert which I think is for anti-colic. My baby is on milk with a thickener and I use the prep machine and I found that if the milk wasnt shaken enough (which created loads of foam) then it would get stuck in the rubber and you couldn't see any unmixed formula. I solved this by buying reusable sterifeed bottles to mix and then I pour into the MAM once ready. I love the designs of the bottles, the bundle is really good value and will take you through until 12 months.Also the pacifiers that are included are the only one my baby will take! We use cold water steriliser at home but the fact these can be sterilised in microwave is very hand for when visiting grandparents as I only have to take one bottle then as I can clean on the go when out.

My baby took to these bottles really well - we’d been using another anti colic bottle for 4 months and I was worried he wouldn’t like the teat but he took it no problem at all and actually seems to find them easier.I like the way all of the bottle comes apart, it makes it really easy to clean.I did try the self sterilising function but wasn’t a huge fan - perhaps it was because it was my first try doing it but I found it fiddly and there was a lot of water in the bottom of my microwave afterwards. I would just use a steriliser rather than this function but it doesn’t detract from how I felt the bottle performed overall.My baby doesn’t take a dummy so we haven’t used that (although my toddlerdoes and has always had mam dummies so I do rate them highly as a product).The lids are also useful for preparing bottles out and about.All in all a really great set of products! These bottles are the only bottles out of the four different brands we have tried, that my son can latch onto properly. He slips off all the other bottles we have tried and dribbles milk everywhere! After his first feed with these bottles at about six weeks old, he was like a different baby, a lot of his colic symptoms disappeared. Wish I had used these straight away when we had to start giving him top ups as this would have saved my son a lot of discomfort in the early days. These bottles are really easy to clean and I like that the parts for the big and small bottles are compatible with each other.The only improvement I would like to see is a bigger bundle for sale that contains all the different teat sizes so you can try these to see if your child is ready to move up a size instead of having to go out and buy a pack of two teats and then find out they are not ready. These bottles arrived at my house a week ago and I’ve not looked back since. My baby boy took to them straight away after recent struggles with bottles we were using due to colic and the teat squashing. As the teat on these bottles are flat they work perfectly as my son can still get his milk out and he has less wind meaning less upset after a feed. The designs on the bottles just make it a little bit more personalise than blank bottles. I am overwhelmed with how good the bottles have been including the ease of self sterilising.. I have done this while at my parents and it’s so easy, I really didn’t think it would be at first but it’s such a useful tool!Would totally recommend these bottles to anyone that is looking for bottles which minimise colic, minimise squashing and bendy teats that don’t allow milk easily my through. The mam easy start bottle set is a great starter set to get you used to the way the bottles work and fit together. I was shocked with how much you got in the starter set, I was expecting to have to go out to purchase extra products but what more do you really need. I couldn't rate the anti colic bottles any higher. They come apart in five pieces and are really quick to put back together. I love the design on the bottles and I personally think they look nicer in reality than in picture. it's great that you can sterilise the bottles individually in the microwave which is great when your traveling or at some else's house and no need for a big bulky Steriliser.The sealing discs are a great idea too to save you from losing milk from your bottles. This product is fantastic. Really easy to clean as comes apart nicely with removable bottom.Baby loves the bottles and the handle that can be clipped on or off to each bottle depending on requirement. The measurements shown down the side of the bottle are dark and visible so you aren’t struggling to see how many mms of water you have put in at 3am! Overall really impressed with value for money, each lid and base can be used on each size bottle which is really handy as well. The self sterilise feature is fantastic when I haven’t got any bottles sterilised and just want to get one ready quickly rather than putting my electric one on for one bottle.The other feature I loved is the flat cap lids that you can use to store milk or pumped milk in the fridge rather than having to assemble the bottle. What a beautiful bottle set. Not only are the Bottles a delight visually but they are also very practical and incredibly easy to clean. The fact that all parts can be separated to be cleaned is a great idea and I love the self sterilizing! It means where previously o would need several bottles in my changing bag I can just take one. My son had no trouble accepting the MAM teat and his hands would happily reach for the bottle. I enjoyed using the handles as well!My son has been a sufferer or wind and his symptoms were much improved with these bottles. Only once did I have an issue with a leakage due to me not pushing the white seal into the bottom part securely but once identified hasn't happened since.Overall a fabulous bottle set,well designed and practical. My baby was on different bottles and no matter what I done her colic was terrible and she was in so much pain. I brought this set to trial and her colic improved so much in just one night! She feeds so much calmer and the teat itself is so different to the other brands and my baby latches happily on these.The bottles and teat are really good quality and I love the patterns. I recommend mam bottles to anyone. Literally everything you need in this set to start you off and i love how these bottles come apart and when you move onto the 9oz bottles all you have to do is remove the 5oz body which saves space from having to store 3 formed bottles.The only down fall is I have found is due to the anti colic holes found at the base of the bottle,I have to cool down/warm up the bottle in a jug upside down because over time the water in the hug ends up inside the bottle!

I was so pleasantly suprised by how much was in this starter set. Mam have literally thought of everything. I love the self-sterilising feature. It means I can easily sterilize a bottle at the grandparents' house by just using their microwave! My daughter has taken to the bottles so naturally. She latches on easily and can easily switch between breast and bottle, possibly because the teats are soft and flexible like a real nipple. The anti-colic valve lets air escape from the bottom of the bottle, which means she swallows less air as there's no air in the teat. I love that the bottle converts into a training cup, the teat still feels like a bottle, but flows faster like a beaker.It's the perfect transition between bottle and beaker.
