It's crazy to see how many people are saying the bottles leak. They really don't UNLESS you're doing something wrong. We've used these bottles for 3 months now and we haven't had any problems. The anti-colic technology is great and our little baby hasn't had any problems with wind and he hasn't been colicky ever. The bottles are very easy to use. If you find they're leaking check these few things before you get frustrated with them:1. The valve should never be closed. Always press the valve before putting the insert in the milk.2. Don't aggressively shake the milk to mix it! Use a stirrer/knife to mix the powder gently and afterwards assemble the bottle as usual.3. Don't use boiling or super hot water! The water temperature for the milk shouldn't be lower than 70°C - this should be something you already know. However I've noticed that if the temperature is 80°C or more (10 mins of waiting after boiling as opposed to 20 mins) the water will change the bottle shape temporarily. Meaning the blue ring that screws can screw more than it should! This also happens if you JUST sterilised the bottle and it didn't cool down. It's normal behaviour under conditions of high heat. Apart from that if the water temperature is very high the valve can seal itself back or the valve can open and milk can go through the little pipe thus making it leak. IF this ever happens don't shake it aggressively and wonder why it's leaking. Just unscrew it and check the valve. If milk is in the pipe just disconnect the valve and let the milk flow out. Afterwards just assemble it as usual. So simple!I promise it's not complicated to use them and the bottles are NOT FAULTY. It's just user error whether you admit it or not.So once again: check the valve, use water that is over 70°C but I'd say not past 75°C for optimal results and make sure your bottles are not too hot after sterilising them. SUPER SIMPLE. And preferably stir the powder with a knife or something else before assembling the bottle. If you choose the shake at least just turn the bottle up & down gently. That works well too but it can make some bubbles which will end up in your baby's tummy. The bottles are truly fantastic and gentle on the baby's tummy compared to MANY others.

Tommee Tippee is a trusted brand for all things baby feeding, and these bottles do exactly what they promise. I tested these 0 months+ bottles on my newest grandson, with the critical feature being the slow flow. These bottles are very well designed, both for the grown up’s grip, and the teat for baby. Since using these bottles, baby has fed comfortably and suffered less from wind and reflux - exactly as promised in the marketing. The slow flow works well and helps baby to feed at a calm pace.I tested the heat sensing feature - under controlled conditions well away from the little one! - and the heat sensing tube did indeed turn pink as a warning that the feed was too hot. This is not a feature you will need every day but will be valuable for those moments when the grown up is battling against lack of sleep or preparing a feed in the middle of the night.I was particularly impressed with the durability of these bottles, which in the long run is just as important as any of the more glossy features. They have survived numerous cycles of washing and sterilising in perfect condition. Also, as a veteran of many a drinks bottle from babies up to teenage children, I can confirm that these bottles do not leak. This might sound like basic requirement but in reality many types of plastic bottle leak at some point, usually when you are wearing half decent clothes during a feed. TheseTommee Tippee bottles are best in class for keeping the feed in the bottle. Finally, I really like the design and colour scheme of these bottles which add a little extra pleasure to feeding time. Highly recommended.

Tommee Tippee as far as I am concerned is the leader when it comes to a babies needs and once again they have produced a baby bottle which will not only feed your child with ease but also it will help prevent the dreaded colic. We all know how colic can affect a child and there have been many bottles have promised to be anti-colic but what makes these bottles different is the fact the bottle is designed fully to reduce the effects wind can do while feeding a child as a child sucks the bottle, wind is produced naturally using the sucking motion. This is reduced mainly because the bottle has a unique three-piece anti-colic straw which draws air away from the milk, therefore, the baby is swallowing milk and nothing else which will mean less wind gathering up in its tiny stomach, which means less reflux which of course means the baby is suffering no discomfort from excess wind which we all know can cause a lot of pain. Anything which will reduce this is a great addition to feeding our precious bundle. The child in question who is old a few weeks old sucked happily from this bottle as the teat sit comfortably in its tiny mouth and I did notice after feeding and the winding process had to be completed was finished quickly and with no bringing up off the usual mouthful of milk.I also love the fact the straw has a head sensor and immediately informed me if the milk was too hot by turning pink which is a much-preferred process compared to the usual guesswork or testing the milk on the back of my hand.Happy to recommend.

This bottle is a solid offering from a company noted for its provision of quality baby products. It's a unique type of bottle given it offers to reduce colic by means of a venting system which should ensure babies can't swallow air so easily while feeding. This is achieved by a tube/straw down the centre of the bottle which draws air down to the bottom of the bottle but then a valve prevents the air from being pulled back up to the "nipple".Colic occurs when air is swallowed at the time of eating/drinking and is hugely prevalent in babies for various reasons but certainly more so through poor bottle designs etc.The "nipple" on this bottle is quite large which may go some ways towards ensuring there is less chance of air being drawn in around it.Another great feature of the bottle is the fact that they've provided a means to test the heat of the milk before giving - the straw can be used as a heat sensor and changes colour accordingly. Great for anyone who's struggled to be sure on that point - last thing you ever want to do is give a baby something too hot.Overall, as others have said, this bottle seems to do the job. There are some online reviews stating that leaks can occur but if that heppens, I'm sure TT will happily replace. My personal opinion, as an adult who suffers colic and quite severely with certain med intolerances, anything that can reduce or better prevent the possibility is worth trying!

Oh my Lord, My now 6 month old daughter suffered terrible colic from 2 weeks, I swear by Tommee Tippee products anyway so already had the cheaper anti colic ones (without the tube) but she was still in agony! We had her on all sorts of medicines but still suffered. The doctor told me these bottles were a waste of money as they would do little if any help. Well I thought a little help is better then no help so I decided to buy these. I was slightly put off by the other reviews but just kept in mind it MIGHT help. I brought them and are the best things I have ever brought for her Colic! She stayed on infacol for a further 24 hours after her first bottle but came off of it as soon as the wind had passed, then we took her off of the gripe water about a week after her first bottle just to be on the safe side! She now has NO pain from Colic and isn't medicated! She is happy and bouncy! Now only one of the review points I agree with that is The teat keeps going in however this is a minor inconviniance worth it if it keeps your baby pain free and happy? I think so! I don't think it's too fiddly at all it's only the case of washing up three little bits extra. And she has been using them for four months now and has never had a torn teat! The best buy for colic, I can not prais this product enough. Definitely worth the extra few quid. The colic cleared up after 24-48 hours and hasn't suffered it since!

The whole “colic” issue is a little blurry and vague as it seems to cover several symptoms and each of them have a different answer to helping get rid of them, in fact several specialists now say the term colic shouldn’t be used. So these bottles are supposed to help with colic, really they are to help the baby take in less air whilst feeding which in turn relieves wind, a symptom of “colic”.Using special valves, air entering the bottle during feeding is pushed to the base of the bottle behind the milk instead of it mixing with the milk and bubbling up. This means the baby is taking on less air during feeding and won’t be as bloated and brings up wind easier with less chance of being sick too.Whilst this won’t work for all babies it does make a difference, for some a huge difference and others a minor improvement as it depends really on the baby and as we all know they are all different. The bottles also feature a handy heat rod which goes down the centre of the bottle and chances colour depending on how hot or cold the milk is, a useful addition.Overall the bottles are good, long lasting and do more or less what they say they can do, there are better options which worked great for us but again it’s dependant on the baby really.

These bottles work well for anti colic. it has significantly reduced the amount of air going down. It doesnt stop it completely and i think you would be unrealistic to expect that. It would have been useful to have instructions on how to clean as its taken me about 8 weeks to find out that the vent system that you put in the bottle pulls apart for cleaning as i was having real problems trying to get the milk out it properly. Would take me ages! Now i know its so much easier and i now know where the little pipe cleaner goes!! The vent system is useful to use as a stirrer for the formula! Not what it was designed for but an added bonus. My only gripe is that the formula can spill down the bottle if you try and shake the bottle with the lid on as the suction in the bottle means that the formula has nowhere to go, have had a few burnt hand moments as boiling formula has gushed over my hands. As long as you remember to take the lid off before shaking you will be fine. You will not find these in the shops anymore as tommee tippee has withdrawn them and replaced it with the comfort system (purple ones) so i could only get more here.

On the plus side:Ive used these since baby arrived and he's had no problem switching between bottle and breast. We've had no colic since buying them and he was suffering before we switched to these. The tommee tippee electronic steriliser has special compartments for all the different bits.On the downside:the bottles are very leaky; you also have to make sure all the fiddly bits are assembled correctly which hubby can do using tongs but I have to use my hands - which defeats sterilising the bottles. After using the teats for the last 3 months I needed to replace the slow flow teats which are supplied with the bottles; after endless searching in vain for the slow flow I telephoned tommee tippeeto be told that they didnt sell replacement slow flow teats as the teats supplied were expected to last until baby needed to move up onto a faster flowing teat ... well as all babies are not the same my baby isnt ready for a faster teat so I have to buy another complete set of bottles just to get teats. That said i would still choose them again!

I like these bottles. I wouldn't say our baby is entirely wind-free since using them but we've seen a huge improvement.we dont find them too fiddly to wash or put back together but then I cannot imagine trying to faff about putting them back together with the tongs! We find clean hands are fine and our son is thriving! We also put them through the dishwasher from time to time with the teats, lids and valve components in a mesh bag so we don't lose any bits. The bottles go up-ended on the prongs for the plates and they come out sparkling. Our son was in hospital with an illness contracted at birth and two of the hospitals we stayed in washed them this way so if its good enough for a hospital I figured its good enough for at home too.It gets rid of any bits you may miss on the valve components. We have had the bottles leak a couple of times but now we know its when the end comes off the valve we just take care to make sure they go back together properly and its problem solved!I'd pay this money again for a good nights sleep any day ;o)

These bottles by Tommee Tippee have a lot of design features to help ward off the dreaded ‘wind’ that babies can suffer from. When my children were little this manufacturer was known for its baby drinking cups which were well made and lasted for years. The features of these bottles that are used to feed my grandchildren are the naturally shaped teat that helps a baby suck easier and the indented bottle that makes holding it easier for both parent and later on, the child itself. The heat sensing straw and star valve arrangement in the centre seems to work to reduce the air being taken in when feeding and the tube subtly changes colour if the feed is too hot although I would still check it myself. It all comes apart quite easily for cleaning and sterilising purposes. This pack comes with slow flow teats for newborns but other faster flow teats are available as baby gets older. The bottles are prettily decorated with elephants and are nicely packaged so this set could be given as a gift to new parents.

Having read a few less than favourable reviews I thought I'd offer my positive review! I ordered these as my baby is greedy and thereafter vomits after every feed and id read these would help slow her down and reduce wind and they do just that, weve had no vomitting since! They are super easy to clean with a special brush supplied to clean the straw part. I've had no leaking, i make my bottles using a perfect prep so are at the right temperature for these bottles (the supplied instructions clearly state not to make it too hot as it could cause them to leak, there is a temperature indicator on the straw which shows you if it's too hot so there's no excuse really). I've also had no issue with the valves, the packaging is clearly marked advising you to open the valves before first use, the valves opened easily for me.All in all I am extremely happy with the bottles which are a great price. Give them a try, dont let the bad reviews put you off!Ps teats supplied are size 1.

These bottles look great, and our daughter likes the style. Just be warned that you're paying quite a lot extra for the design. As our daughter is older, but still enjoys milk from a bottle, we hadn't planned to use the anti-colic attachment. We found though that if you try to use the bottle without the attachment, it will leak. Our daughter struggles with the teat a little, again probably more because of her age, she finds that she's pushing it into the bottle as she drinks (this didn't happen with the regular Tommee Tippee bottles without the extra attachment), so she keeps having to take it out of her mouth to pull the teat back out again. We'll be buying new teats for the faster flow to see if this resolves the problem.Overall, these are great, good looking bottles, but quite expensive in comparison to others, and more useful from birth than for older children.

Three excellent 260ml feeding bottles … made to the expected high quality specifications of Tommee Tippee. These bottles have a soft and fairly natural feeling silicone teat designed to replicate a mother's breast and nipple. Our granddaughter has just turned two and still has a bottle at bedtime. My daughter-in-law has been using this bottle for the last few days and says that she is thrilled with it.The reasonable size means that it holds more fluid which prevents the need to refill it before our granddaughter falls asleep. The comfortable holding bottle and slow flow seems to satisfy, soothe and calm her quickly and she has been falling asleep in next to no time.In the morning my daughter-in-law simply unscrews the lid, removes the teat and places all three pieces into her dishwasher. They wash well and still looks as good as new.

My little one has really struggled with colic and I found myself doing a mass amount of research to try and find the right product. I nearly didn’t buy these bottles as many reviewers complained about the leaks and wastage but I took the chance because frankly anything was worth a go! I honestly feel they are a god send! They have helped him settle so much, they are very easy to clean and pop in the steriliser. I have also experienced no leaks or wastage! But I do have to say that I think it’s down to my tommee tippee perfect prep machine (which I also highly recommended) but I wouldn’t let it put you off if you don’t have one as the temperature the steriliser reaches should in essence do the same amount of damage. In conclusion I have used them for over a month now and they are still In perfect condition, so I highly recommend!!!

I have to say that I prefer these bottles to the Dr Brown ones! The Dr Brown ones leak if you try to shake the milk when you first make your feed up so you have to wait for it to cool down but I have no problems at all with these bottles. I have the microwave steriliser from Tommee Tippee and they fit in here if u lie them on there side, the smaller bottles fit in with no problems. I have been extremely lucky and my daughter has never had colic but I have used these bottles since I turned to the bottle so I don't know if this has anything to do with it. My step-mother is a GP and she also prefers these bottles to the Dr Brown ones,as the pair of us both scolded our hands when we first used them as we didn't realise you shouldn't shake the milk when the water is hot because it leaks everywhere! Buy Tommee Tippee, they're the best!
