Our house has plenty of Avent kit - it usually lasts and is aesthetically pleasing. This comes in baby-blue case, with yellow detail, which is still rather gender neutral. Inner lining is grey, with the same yellow detail. The tools are all the same soft yellow in colour.Some of these tools will be needed more than others. The brush is firm enough to brush out any dry skin, the comb has less appeal (unless babe is blessed with lots of hair). Both are built to last though, so as some of the items become redundant these maintain their use.The nail clippers are little noisy, but are essential to prevent babe scratching their face etc. The scissors are blunt nosed for safety. For the complete mini manicure,emery boards are included. The time needed to use these is not included :)A nice addition is the finger toothbrush. This makes it very easy to provide early dental care. The bristles are very short and soft, good for massaging gums.The included digital thermometer can measure temperature via mouth, armpit or anally. This is soft tipped for safety too. The last item is the aspirator to aid sleep when babe has a cold or is blocked up.Can't fault the presentation. I imagine as time passes, the contents might vary, although it will remain close at hand for quite a while. At full price you may not get fullest value from the kit, however under £30 is good value. If gifting, who knows which tools will be the ones that are preferred, but at least most bases are covered. A well thought out kit.

This is a really useful set for a first baby, when you need EVERYTHING. It’s great that it’s all in a handy storage and carry case, as there’s so much stuff when you have a new baby that it’s easy to mislay things, also ideal for travelling.Everything in this kit is going to be useful at some point In the first 12 months and some bits will last you/be needed for much longer. I love the inclusion of the finger toothbrush, ideal for keeping baby teeth clean and baby getting used to having them cleaned when they come through.The thermometer is a must have and works well in any orifice it is needed for! The brush is nice and soft for baby hair and the comb useful if like me your baby has a full head of hair.The nail elements are ideal, with round ended scissors, emery boards and nail clippers helping you to keep baby nails in check to reduce face scratches. The nasal aspirator is really useful to have to help clear nose snuffles easily.This is a lovely engagement ring for a young couple on a budget. Having children does not come with a manual or a warning sticker. The amount of stuff that a baby needs is incredible. For the first few weeks the don't even move around that much, but they do need grooming and looking after. 'Philips Avent All Baby Care Essentials Set' is a sweet little kit that houses many of the small things that you may not realise that you need. It all comes in a case making it easy to keep all the stuff together or take away with you.You have stuff for their hair, teeth, nails and nose. The scissors are sharp, but have the safety end. The brush and comb are lovely for soft baby hair. A thermometer is always useful. The toothbrush and nasal squirter less so. You may use them,but the need has not arisen for us. Here in lies the rub. The pack may be of more use to some than others. It is quite an outlay for parts that may go unused. I think it would be best for a family that knows it will travel often. Therefore, the fact that it is compact and safely secured comes into its own.

This is an outstanding value for money product which boasts many essential items in it.A brilliant set that I wish I’d have found with my first child!The set includes a digital thermometer which is essential for any baby and throughout childhood; this thermometer is much better than the tommee tippie range I previously had; this set has a thermometer that is placed inside the mouth which gives a much more accurate reading.It also includes baby scissors, 3 small nail files, baby clippers, a hair brush and comb (both for baby) all of which are unisex and have a lovely woodland design on them. Finally includes a small toothbrush which fits on an adult finger and gently massages the gums when babyis teething and gently cleanses the teeth once the milk teeth first come through.An essential kit for any parent and would highly recommend. Price is great for quality of product you receive and it all fits snuggly in case provided so makes it great for travel/portability.

This set is beautifully presented; it’s in a clear plastic outer and the zipped case looks like a really good quality item. I like the neutral pastel blue and yellow colouring. It would make a good looking and practical gift.Within the case, the items are held securely and neatly and it’s certainly a great way to keep essentials together. The brush is very soft but ok for a baby. The thermometer appears to be accurate and the scissors are sharp. I’m not so sure about the clippers which I found quite difficult to use and was a little concerned about whether they could nip skin as well as nail. For that reason, I’ve taken off a star.The items appear to be good quality,as I’d expect from the Philips Avent brand which has a strong and positive reputation. It’s possible to buy the items separately for less, but I think this set is good value and ideal for travelling or holidays.

What a fantastic set this is!It includes everything from nail care, to first aid and even includes a baby toothbrush/gum massager! I didn't even know they existed but bearing in mind babies (especially teething age) love to chomp on your fingers what a brilliant way to clean their teeth/massage gums!The set comes in a small zipped case that can fit neatly in a nappy bag. The colours are a nice neutral yellow with cute little orange animals on them. The case is blue but I wouldn't bat an eye lid at buying a blue case if I had a girl.This isn't cheap at £33 (today) but the brand is well known so I think everything will last as long as it's kept clean and sterile where applicable.I would definitelyrecommend this set for anyone preparing for a baby and I think this would be a lovely addition to a hamper or nappy cake.

It’s perfect for keeping everything safe and accessible or for popping into a nappy bag for short trips away.The set comprises a soft brush and comb, nail scissors and clippers, emery boards, a digital thermometer, a nasal aspirator, and a finger toothbrush. All the items are held in place with individual, elasticated loops, and there’s additional space in the case for other small items such as lotions and creams.My daughter-in-law is thrilled with this and reckons she doesn’t know how she managed without one. This baby care set by Avent is a useful set however I’m not convinced about the value. I’ve had a quick look and found similar sets around the £10 price mark!The set includes: a finger toothbrush (in Scotland these are given out free by Childsmile), a nasal aspirator (really have never found the need for one of these!), a digital thermometer (free in Scotland in the Baby Box), 3 little emery boards, nail clippers, scissors, a comb (never used a comb on a baby ever) and a soft brush. So all in all a nice little set which are kept securely in a zipper case but all items could be bought cheaper if sought individually.I’m only giving 3 stars - there is nothing wrong with the individual items butjust too pricey.

Philips Avent is a very reliable make.This set includes 1 x digital thermometer; 1 x soft tip nasal aspirator; 1 x finger tooth brush; 1 x rounded-tip scissors; 1 x nail clipper; 3 x emery boards; 1 x rounded-tip comb; 1 x soft hair brush. It arrives in a light blue hard case. The case stores everything and is ideal to keep in baby bag.The only items we’ve not used on my granddaughter so far is the scissors and the emery boards..though I’m sure baby’s mummy will be using the emery boards. Would have preferred the instructions to be in a booklet rather than the enormous size it folded out to be.This would make a brilliant baby shower or new baby gift

This is a great little pack, it contains pretty much all your baby care items in one easy package which you can easily place in a backpack, handbag, changing bag.The thermometer read the same as our dedicated thermometer, so no complaints there.Nasal suction is great for clearing a bunged up nose.The hair brushes are good quality and not going to scratch with normal usage.The clippers work just fine.I did have most of the items in separate purchases but this comes all in one bundle so it much easier. And with the reassurance of a brand it comes highly recommended from me.

A lot of kit for the money and a nice case to keep it all in and travel with it/make sure it doesn't get lost.Good quality as should be expected with Philips brand, for all your babies grooming needs with 10 items, brush is plastic and is probably the let down of the items, the thermometer is very accurate though. Not used the nasal aspirator yet, but a nice to have in the kit.Strong case to keep everything together and not over the top colour wise.

Lovely little set with all the essentials you need for a newborn. Nicely packaged in a compact case to keep everything safe.I found the thermometer to be very accurate, the nail clippers are perfect for those tricky delicate baby fingers, there's a comb and brush set, with the bristles being soft and a flexible finger tooth brush.It would make a perfect gift for any mother to be, or newborn.

This is a smart little set and handy to have if you have teeny tots in the house. The thermometer has a lifelong use and having had a similar set for my eldest daughter (now 15) and we still use the nail clippers, the hairbrush not so much after the baby locks grow out. It is a bit expensive but Avent are a trusted brand and it would make a welcome gift for many new parents I am sure.
