I have to be honest, I absolutely LOVE WaterWipes! When I found out we were expecting a baby in 2013, the search began for all manner of things that I had absolutely zero prior knowledge about, not being a 'baby person'. This quest for information included cots, baby monitors, nappies, car seats, prams - you name it, I researched it. When it came to wipes, it didn't take a whole load of research to realise that WaterWipes were the best option out there.Early on, you read in babycare books, web articles and on forums that the best thing to clean your baby's bottom with is good old cotton wool and water - this means there are no chemicals touching their most delicate parts, and the care is gentle and natural. We stuck to this for the first three weeks. It was easy in hospital, where we were 'living' in a bedroom with a sink for a week, but once we were home and changing nappies in a bedroom a fair way from the bathroom, it was less convenient. When your tiny baby has produced a, ahem, offering seemingly 3 times the size of its own head, which is rapidly coming close to leaking all over its clothes, you want something that you can use super-fast - not be putting the baby down in it's cot while you retrieve the water container, go to the bathroom for water and return. No doubt to find your baby either fast asleep or surrounded by poo!WaterWipes are 99% simply water. They are so gentle and natural, and importantly they are absolutely soaking wet - not like the scratchy, often dry feeling Pampers or Huggies wipes. I suffer from eczema and contact allergies, and there is a good chance our son will too - this means I was loathe to use any of these other wipes on him anyway - the less chemicals he is exposed to at such an early age the better. Even the popular 'Sensitive' versions of these wipes are still crammed full with chemicals.Yes, the big drawback - they are much more expensive than those other mainstream wipes. I admit that keeping our house, nappy bags, cars and grandparents homes stocked with WaterWipes is not cheap. But, at least to us, it us well worth it for ensuring our baby has a smooth, healthy, happy bum from day one! We buy the WaterWipes in these slightly better value Value Boxes, and use Amazon Subscribe & Save / Amazon Prime, which reduces the price by 20%.Incidentally, our little man has never once had a case of nappy rash or soreness down there. This could be down to either the exclusive use of WaterWipes, or Sudocrem cream - but lets just say I'm not changing anything just to find out!One thing to mention also, is that even if our child proves not to have been cursed with my hyper-reactive, sensitive skin, the fact that I'm using WaterWipes means I can change his nappy with bare hands - if I used Pampers or Huggies wipes, even the Sensitive ones, the allergic reactions to some of the chemicals in them would mean I would have to wear gloves. Not exactly the bonding experience you have in mind for your firstborn!WaterWipes in one word? Essential.

We used these waterwipes from birth after I tried cotton wool and water and just couldn't get on with it - half a packet later of cotton wool just to clear up one pooey nappy!Personally, I really liked this wipes. And actually we used these up until my son was about 4m old before we switched to a different brand to save money. But I may end up going back to them once this other branded box is done. Aswith anything they have their good and bad points:Pros:- Large, strong wipes; I used to only need one, maybe two for a pooey nappy each time. Compared to the brand I'm using now which require two, sometimes three wipes at a time- Very wet! In the early days my husband would constantly leave the flap open on the packet, and yet they never went dry. In fact I recently had a packet in our swim bag, which I'd somehow managed to completely split open the packet. I threw it into the car meaning to throw in the bin, and forgot about it... The packet has been in there a good three weeks since splitting, and when I emptied the car at the weekend and found them, they were still full of moisture, not even the outer wipes had started drying out!- No harsh chemicals- Great for cleaning up even the worst of newborn poo!- Good for all over body wipes, not just bottoms- They don't leave that horrible pruney, dried-out feeling on your hands after useCons:- Price! Their 2.5 times the price of most other leading brands- Availability: Their constantly out of stock no matter where you go!- Contrary to popular belief, they DON'T prevent nappy rash! They can help in reducing the risk of it, but they do not prevent it. My son had awful nappy rash (the bleeding type) which we believe was due to a supermarket nappy brand we trialed, and even these were too harsh to use on his skin during that time, so we were advised to go back to cotton wool and water for a whileOverall their a great wipe, good strong quality and size - But my advice would be to wait until their on offer and stock up. The single packs usually have the better deals on than the "super value" boxes do, so worth holding out and buying in bulk when their on offer.

So when I bought these I was slightly concerned with claims in these reviews about them being counterfeit due to the different packaging and claims it has 'Benzalkonium Chloride' in it. I put these concerns to WaterWipes directly via email and they said "Last year we completely re-designed our range and even brought out two different versions of the multipacks which has led to a lot of confusion around our wipes. Amazon are verified sellers of our wipes and any WaterWipes you can buy on the platform are our own. Our website is now up to date with all the different images but last year it wasn’t which resulted in a lot people thinking they had received fakes which wasn’t the case.".In reagrds to the harmful chemical claim they said "We added this information to our packaging early 2018,as trace amounts of Benzalkonium Chloride are a by-product of the fruit extraction process. The level that exists in WaterWipes is extremely small and has no impact on safety of the product. Our wipes contain 0.1% fruit extract which in turn contains trace amounts of Benzalkonium Chloride so the overall content in the finished pack is negligible. To give you an idea, it can also be found in traces within Children’s nasal drops, Children’s plasters and some Baby bum creams. Given the negligible amount of Benzalkonium Chloride in our product, it is not classed as an ingredient, and so legally we don’t have to disclose it. But we believe in this day and age that companies owe it to their customers to declare information beyond what they are legally obliged to."So when it comes to reviewing this product, I will give them the benefit of the doubt as I am no expert. However the wetness of these wipes are slightly disappointing, I was hoping they would be a little more wet than they are. Luckily I haven't had any negative experience with them, they do the job just fine. However a wet wipe doesn't have to do very much right to be a good product, so when it comes to overall rating I'll be giving it 4 stars for the product itself as I think it could be doing better as well as my preference for something a little bit wetter.

I LOVE Water wipes, my twins are 6 months old and have never suffered from nappy rash yet. I used these from about 4 weeks old. I don't understand some of the comments I've read saying they'll not buy them any more because you often get more than one come out of the packet at a time... seriously?! Yes they're quite often wetter toward the end of the pack and so yes they do often stick together and you may get 2-4 come out at once, but is it really that bothersome that you'd rather not buy them ever again than put the spare ones back in the packet?... sigh!I love buying these wipes in bulk boxes, especially when they're on offer. With having twins we go through lots of everything and it can get expensive fast.If I'd never received a single freebie in my Bounty pack at the hospital I'd never have known about these and would probably be using the ones with a million ingredients in them and have babies with bottoms suffering reactions to them. All hail the Water Wipe... one of the best products on the market for babies.... (and your face, I often use them to remove my make-up on a night when I'm too exhausted for a proper hot water wash... love them!)I'm editing this to say my twins are now 2 years and 3 months old and we still use water wipes. I use them on my 7 month old daughter too and aside from a day or two from a 3 week long bad teething session with one of my twins we've never seen a case of nappy rash in our house. They have recently changed however, the packets are more compact and so the wipes appear a tad smaller, however I think they're possibly a bit thicker. Regarding the wipes feeling wetter as you get to the end of the pack or even half way through, I fold the pack in half and holding it upside down give it a squeeze over the sink to get rid of the excess water. They still stay moist for a long time after so I never worry about doing this. I still love them, and still only buy them in bulk when they're on offer!

Okay, so this was a purchase I made in a rare moment of weakness during the first wave of UK panic buying back in March 2020. We don't have a baby, but wipes are great for adult toilet issues as well, and I was concerned about running out. So there I was with like a billion wipes and no baby to mow through them, lol. So I started thinking outside the box and have since discovered so many uses for these fantastic wipes! First, they really feel like cloth soaked in water--they are very moist with no perfumes. Hubs and I both have sensitive skin and these wipes haven't caused any irritation after many months of use. They have a slight scent due to the preserver that they put in (you have to put something in or they would grow things),but it's so minimal that you don't care. Meanwhile, we have split taps: one icy cold, the other lava hot, which makes trying to wipe up simple spills in the kitchen a royal pain because I either have to glove up every time, or use the cold, which doesn't clean out my washcloth very well. Since I had so many wipes, I started using them to chase those perpetual crumbs and tea stains that appear on my counters. FANTASTIC. Then I branched out to wet dusting, cleansing fingers covered in BBQ sauce, refreshing the face mid-day, and tackling any "what the heck is that?" moment that I came across. I LOVE these wipes! For the ladies: these are great when you're mid period, because they really give your skin a full refresh without using a ton of toilet paper. For ladies and men: stomach bugs resulting in diarrhea or any other back end issue can easily lead to skin rashes when acidic residues aren't fully cleansed from the skin. For messy bathroom moments, these wipes are way better than just using toilet paper.I now have a pack of these going in the bathroom, kitchen, and office and they all get plenty of use! Would definitely recommend!

A friend recommended a supermarket own brand "sensetive" wipes and I went out and bought a pile of them when they were on offer before my Baby-Girl was born. I was working as a night carer and the lady that I look after doesn't have a shower so I took some with me to freshen up with in the morning before I came home. I have psoriasis and eczema and have to be careful with my skin but I was horrified when my armpits started to burn - they were NOT going anywhere near my baby's bottom. The maternity support workers said to use the large, "tear off" style of cotton wool, not wipes but that really isn't practical - it just sticks to your baby's bum!I did some research and found WaterWipes and they are fantastic!I use a little flannel as a tiny towel so that I can dry her off when I've wiped her clean, I can dry her off and then her nappy goes on (mainly re-useable nappies but disposables for travelling and days out as I won't carry a wet bag). She has only had one little bout of nappy rash in 8 months and that was the day that 4 top teeth started to come through together - I gather that teething can make a baby's poo more acidic. I wouldn't entertain the idea of using anything else other than plain water on her skin. I'm not a hippy, vegan, gluten free mummy (Baby-Girl loves a tiny bacon sandwich from time to time) but I wouldn't dream of using anything else. ALso, this is the only way to buy them: in bulk, with a subscribe and save discount :)

The wipes I most regularly use for my daughters. They don’t leave a sticky residue on the skin like most other wipes and have never caused a skin irritation and my daughters both have dry, sensitive skin. The only problem I’ve encountered from this point of view is that if the weather is hot and I’m cleaning a dirty nappy that hasn’t been caught quickly enough they’re not great and require a lot of rubbing which can lead to more irritation. They’ve improved the sticky opening on the pack in recent months so they close better than they did which is great as the opening regularly splits in my bag leaving the wipes exposed and my bag at times very wet, especially if the wipes are near the end of the pack. Also it’s worth squishing the pack a few times when you open them first as the moisture tends to pool at the bottom. They’re expensive compared to other wipes and need to work on improving their packaging, but I would wholeheartedly recommend regardless. Another issue I have is that they don’t easily dispense one wipe at a time, particularly with one hand, and they come out folded over more often than not. So if there is a dirty nappy I take what I need out of the pack first and unfold them so I’m not grabbing piles of folded wipes in a panic. For this and the above issue of them splitting and leaking in my bag I often don’t use them for out and about in my changing bag.

I have used Waterwipes for all 3 of my children from birth. They are made with just water and don’t have any chemicals, so safe to use on newborns, which I thought was genius! I really don’t know who wants to wipe bottoms with cotton wool and boiled water - it’s just rather impractical. I have never had any skin problems even with my youngest who has eczema, so in my opinion they are worth paying extra, at least for in the first 6 months when the nappy changing is frequent and the skin is so sensitive. I though Amazon offered best value for money with the 9-pack! In the last 6 years of raising 3 children I have developed a top list of useful products and I think this one is a must buy for your hospital bag!Needless to mention I have tried a number of other so claimed "sensitive" baby wipes, but a lot of them not so kind to baby skin. My baby is 9 months and we have now switched to Aveeno baby wipes, which are also great and slightly cheaper, but I would still only buy waterwipes for a newborn. My only criticism for these wipes is that they do get stuck together and as as result I tend to use more than I need, which is not very cost effective. This is the reason why I gave this product 4 stars and not 5, but I still think these are the best newborn wipes on the market!

Have tried various big brand wipes over the last couple years and these are by far the best!!Pure water, no fragrance, no chemicals, nothing, just water. And a lot of water at that as well. They are very wet and hold a lot of water. Half a wipe is enough for just a wet nappy change and 2 wipes to squeaky clean a poo'y bum. They stay fresh in their packet, no drying out, unlike other slightly cheaper brands I have tried, or they simple do not have as much water in them as these wipes. So much water that if you left a fresh one on the bed, it'll leave a soaking wet patch on your bed sheets. These are the only wipes we use now, none others come close.Yes they are a little pricey but I always tend to buy in bulk like this 18 pack box and usually wait for it go on offer as well, which it usually does, and then they are even better value for money. Plus you end up using a lot less wipes than with the Huggies wipes or so because these hold so much more water allowing you to clean more. The only small gripe I have with it, is that the resealable tab in the packet can become a little flimsy after a while and breaks off. But I think this is an issue with all wipe packets.

These are an absolute must for newborns or babies with sensitive skin. Ideally I would use reusable cloth wipes but until I do these are the only wipes I’ve found that don’t make my children’s bottoms or faces break out in rashes! The material is gentle and durable so they clean little bottoms easily and gently which helps prevent nappy rash. Other wipes I’ve tried have either caused my children to have an allergic reaction on their skin or they don’t hold up very well so you end up using loads and can’t get all the pooh off!The amazingly awesomeness of these wipes comes with a price - a very high one considering you are wiping someone’s bum with them and then throwing them away.It can feel like you are flushing money down the toilet (but please don’t flush the wipes done the toilet- we don’t need more fat burgs in the sewers). The other downside to these is that they are quite wasteful. Ideally I would like to switch to cloth wipes but at the moment I feel like I’m at laundry capacity with the reusable nappies so something to aim for in the future. At leas these are high quality so you actually only need one or two compared to having to use 5-10 low quality wipes.

I have recently purchased these to use on my new baby and I'm very pleased with them.I chose these specific wipes because when I compared the ingredients list of these to some other leading brand wipes, I was mortified at the amount of chemicals used by the other brands. They all seem to market themselves as sensitive etc but the most natural and chemical free I could find was Water Wipes. The wipes themselves are very good quality and perfectly moist. I can understand why they are slightly more expensive than other wipes but I'm happy that they are worth it and its a small price to pay to help keep baby's bottom etc clean and rash free. They are also very very refreshing on my tired feet at theend of the day!I will continue to buy these in bulk from Amazon as that will provide best value for money in the long term. I did price up the individual packs in Boots but they work out far more expensive buying them that way.I would highly recommend these wipes but would advise to be careful when opening an individual pack, the seal is very sticky/strong and you can end up tearing the whole packaging open (like i did). Just be very gentle pulling back the seal!

Love these wipes, I started of using cotton wool & water then moved on to reusable wipes but found they were quite rough on baby's bum and not as practical for us. These are the best 'naturally' friendly wipes I have used, they are thicker and better quality that other eco type ones I have tried. I find the box of 12 lasts us about three months with one baby and we need to use far less to clean up than thinner types. The wipes come out one at a time, don't rip and the packet lasts well throughout the duration. While the top wipes can feel drier, WaterWipes acknowledge this may happen on the packaging, you just need to give the pack a good squeeze to disperse the water again. The only slight downside is that these are not biodegradable but I suspect if they were the quality of the wipes would suffer.Would definitely recommend to all parents especially those wishing to avoid unnecessary chemicals that may irritate poor baby's skin. Extremely gentle with no weird chemical fragrances, actually more cost effective because you need less to tackle poo-explosions etc and gentle enough to be used on hands and face.

We've got a six week old son and couldn't live without these - as expensive as they are they are by far and away the best baby wipes we've tried.Pros:- They come out of the pack one at a time (despite not having a big plastic opening at the top)- The last wipe in the pack comes out as wet as the first, unlike others that seem to dry out within a day or two of the pack being opened- You can clean up even the most explosive of incidents with one or two wipes, they mop it all up with easeCons:- The price. They are the most expensive baby wipes on the market. You're looking at nearly £2/pack for these whereas if you pop down to ALDI or LIDL you can get a pack of their wipes for 50p,or a multipack for about £3 that would cost you about £20 if you bought waterwipes. There really is no comparison however.Maybe I'm overprotective / mollycoddling as a new parent and wanting "the best" for my baby's bum... however I really do normally love a bargain and quite happily use the ALDI/LIDL nappies / creams / lotions etc, but with baby wipes it seems you really do get what you pay for

Water wipes are good for the first few weeks when babies skin is so sensitive that baby wipes would be too harsh and I found them very useful especially for sticky poos (sorry TMI!). However they do have a few downsides and so I have now switched to Johnson’s baby wipes. The wipes are IMPOSSIBLE to get off one by one despite claims on the packet. Generally you try and pull one out and end up with 5, then it doesn’t get the next one ready so you have to fish out the next one which is all a bit of a faff when you have a crying new born covered in poop! Also they are very wet especially when you come to the end of the packet sometimes you need to squeeze them out before using. Lastly the lid is not great,it doesn’t stick back on well like the johnsons baby wipes and pair that with the very wet wipes and you end up with a wet changing bag!So i would recommend these wipes for the first few weeks but as soon as you can switch to another baby wipe. I use the sensitive Johnsons wipes and haven’t had any problems with skin irritation.

We have been using these for years and when they were out of stock for a few months we had to go back to cloths and water which is much less convenient when out and about. They have the same ingredients as before, that has not changed regardless of what other reviews say. Also the price complaints confuse me as it used to be £40-£45 for 18 packs and is now £19 for 9 packs. I haven't noticed any change in the fabric of the wipe so it's not drastically different and we have not had the problem someone described with water pooling at the bottom of the pack.I love these wipes as I would not put the ones covered in chemicals anywhere near my children. If you can show me another disposable wipe without chemicals which is higher quality and cheaper I would be delighted but it doesn't exist. If you are looking at reviews to choose these wipes for the first time I recommend you ignore the negative reviews and give them a go.
