I looked around for a long time for a good potty for my 2.8 year-old son. We had been recommended a (VERY) expensive chair-style potty and I really didn't want to spend that much, but we already had a £1.50 potty at home which was flimsy, small and uncomfortable so I knew I wanted something in between.Having read all the reviews of this potty I thought it looked like a good buy and I was right. It really is a sturdy plastic with a good thick feel to it. My son will sit on it for a long time without once complaining and he even said himself that it was comfortable. It does leave slight red marks on his bottom when he has sat on it for more than 10 minutes or so but that is to be expected and as the sitting parts are wide,it never digs into his bottom, the marks are just from having sat there for a long time. But the main success is the pouring system. It really does work beautifully. When the potty arrived (I let him 'choose' which one he wanted on Amazon by giving him a choice of colours!), he was so excited and we tried the pouring out with some water. Very easy to do and then put under the tap to rinse it out.My son loves pouring it himself and saying bye-bye to the contents before washing and drying his hands. I always get him to come and do this part as it encourages good toilet habits as he then flushes the toilet and makes that connection between the contents and the toilet/bathroom (as opposed to mummy/daddy just taking it away somewhere and bringing the potty back magically clean).Of course the success of a child potty training quickly and easily depends on lots of things, mainly that they are ready for it, but having a good comfortable and reliable potty must help. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who wants a traditional style potty but one that ticks all the above points.

We started potty training our little girl at 22 months (over the summer). In anticipation - I read lots of reviews and had seen so many strong reviews on the Bjorn throne chair style one that we thought, "It's pricey - but it will hopefully be worth it!"It didn't go down that well - partly because I was foolish and didn't check how BIG it was and our daughter is TINY for age! (Though I am sure,if she was twice the height - she would have loved it, it looks like a gooden!)This pourty is a great little buy...- It's great value and better quality than the similar "cheaper potties" you find elsewhere. We had a peppa pig one and it was so lightweight - not good when you are dealing with a "full tank!" The pourty is stable!- It does what it says on the tin!For our little one, it seems comfortable and she uses the splash guard as a little handle to hold onto while she wees! It is much easier to clean than the two other potties we had got, the "pour" feature is genius!- It is a good enough size that at the beginning, we chucked it in a plastic bag and took it with us whereever we went! (First alfresco wee = whilst feeding the ducks at the park!)- It is a really lovely colour - I know this IS a silly point... but you end up spending A LOT of time with the potty... it's a great, bright, turqoise-blue which would work well for girl or boy!We have the ol' only-stands-to-poo-in-her-bedtime nappy (when she's alone in her cot!)issue at the moment but as far as getting her dry, after a dodgy couple of weeks to start she only ever has the "occasional" accident now when she is teething. She progressed well from the Pourty to the "big girls loo" too! It's simple, clean and good quality - twas a good guy!

We tried 2 other potties before this one. A pound shop one just to get used to the idea (it cracked in a few days) and a winnie the pooh one, which was solid enough, but had a shallow bowl and narrow sides, so wasn't comfortable. The pourty is really thoughtfully designed. It's narrow, but has wide sides, so is comfortable to sit on. Liquids pour out of it easily with no mess whatsoever. It also has a nice deep bowl and a high front, which is ideal for boys and stops the business from slopping over the sides. To top it off, it's solid and sturdy (I don't understand the bad review that said it wasn't- I've looked at a few and haven't seen one more sturdy than this, and as for sloppy poo,well...no potty is going to help you avoid that! Just clean it out with a wet wipe and give it a wash it in bathwater at the end of the day. Easy)We take this everywhere. It fits in the basket under our umbrella buggy and we decided to save the cost of a travel potty and just take this out with us in a carrier bag.If you haven't bought one yet, save your money, avoid the gimmicks and the narrow sided uncomfortable ones and get this.It rocks, plus it's purple and has a cat on the front ;)For under a tenner (at time of buying) I think it's really good value and my boy loves it. 2 weeks into potty training and he likes it so much, there's hardly any accidents any more.

just utterly great and a total must have for any potty training. This potty is brilliantly made, really sturdy and comfortable for my toddler to sit on as she is tall and other potty's give her a dead legs or pins and needles in them and therefore negate the purpose for using the potty and then there was reluctance to use them. This potty is designed so the legs are slightly higher than the anus and therefore in the optimum position to help pass faeces easier. There is a indent on the back of the potty where you pour the waste out but is also a great spy hole to see if your child has actually done anything in the potty while they are sat on it.The pouring spout is brilliant and helps gettingeverything into the toilet for easy disposal. It is easy to carry even with the biggest of wee's in it.The colour is vibrant which is even better as it encourage little ones onto it especially if they choose their colourI wish I had found this before the numerous other potty's that I brought as this would have been the one and only potty that I brought..

Got this for potty training my 21 month old son after several 'accidents' using a smaller potty. This potty is perfectly shaped meaning you don't have to be hovering over your little one every time they need to pee.I found that smaller potties claiming to be compact were a waste of money and detrimental to the already challenging process of potty training - I would have to position him exactly right to get his 'bits' into the potty and in the rush this often resulted in him missing and peeing over the side of the potty. This seemed to undermine any progress he was making as he was getting there in time but the potty was getting in the way!The Pourty Potty is brilliant and there has been no struggle to get the right position and he now goes and sits on the potty of his own accord with a 'hit' every time. The pouring shape is genius and works as intended but also means you can check your little one has 'been' without making them stand up and risk going on the floor. A must have for all potty training parents!

It's great for my 2 yr old, and fits perfectly for her little bottom as she is quite small and so doesn't fall in. She loves the colour and I love the pouring function. It's particularly easy to clean after pees and poos because of the pouring feature, where I pour loads of hot water on to it. Another plus point is that I got it for half price on Amazon at the time! We wrote my daughters name on it as part of her claiming it during the introduction phase and the writing still hasn't come off.I use it with a bath mat below it as my daughter has ever so slightly missed the potty on her first few tries. The bath mat also has made it a more comfy experience for my daughter and means the potty won't slip about on our wooden floors and tiled bathroom floor. The only reason why this won't get a 5 star is because my daughter didn't find it totally comfortable at first - I'm not sure why; maybe the seat rim could be a little bit wider? But I'm sure this would be the case with most plastic pottys.

I ordered this potty in the morning and it arrived the same day. I was eager to open it as I was worried it may be too small for my 2.5year old son. However, he fell in love with it straight away! He wanted to use it straight away and really felt like it was all his because of the blue colour. It is a space saving potty, but it doent mean it boasts less potty space for child! It's very comfortable and supportive and my son knew exactly how to sit on it as soon as I put it out. After he did his first wee in it, we poured it down the toilet together which was very exciting! The only thing is it hasn't got grip at the bottom so it does slide with movement of child however it's really not a big issue because the overall design, use and hygiene it's on point. The blue is lovely too, not too bright it's beautiful and I dont think I could have made a cute first potty choice for my son.

I received the potty 2 days after ordering and after opening my daughter (nearly 2yrs old) wanted to sit on it immediately. We tried this first with a nappy on,but she then wanted to take this off!My daughter NEVER sits still for longer than 20 seconds so I really didn't think she'd stay on here, but with a selection of books/toys sat around her she was more than happy to stay on the potty. After about 3 minutes she had her first wee,so I really think that speaks for itself!! I was extremely impressed!! After cleaning my daughter and re-dressing & emptying the contents down the loo (which as described is very easy to pour), my daughter then wanted to sit on the potty again, which again,I think speaks volumes! If she's happy, then I'm happy!!!! I would highly recommend, especially for the price compared to other very expensive all singing, all dancing pottys!!

I bought his potty for my son when we began potty training; it had some really good reviews and looked the part.Delivery was really quick and it was a hit at home when we got it out.The potty is easy to clean as it has that easy pourer feature and it is also lightweight. Although he would have marks from where he sat on it, if he was on there a while, leaving me to think that the shape is not that great and comfortable; however for quick wee it is really good. The price in my opinion is a little steep but we wanted something that would last and be easy to clean - this seemed to fit the bill and2 years on we still have this potty, as we are beginning to potty train our other child, who also likes this product. Therefore this potty has many great features and I would recommend it.

This is a must have potty, for potty training. I didn't like the other old school design on the market, so I searched until I found this. It is very practical, it's very easy to pour out its contents into the loo without making a mess. The handle makes it easy to carry, by both my toddler and I. Very nice colours, it's wide enough for my daughter to sit comfortably on for a while, and the backrest gives support. I cannot fault this product. I can however make a recommendation, it would be great if the designer could add non slip material on the bottom, to prevent it from sliding on laminate flooring etc. It arrived via next day delivery, and the packaging was to a high standard.I highly recommend this potty, you won't regret buying it.

After 5 months of using a cheaper potty for my 2 and a half year old I was getting fed up of emptying it with big splash backs and wee dribbling down the side of the potty. It was so un hygenic. I was looking for one that had a small bowl you could remove and empty. But I came across this one. I'm so glad I purchased this. It is small so a great space saver. But it has a good depth. It is a very good quality thick plastic and robust. We chose the purple, it's a lovely colour. And the pouring function is brilliant, no mess. Just wish I had bought one sooner. Definitely worth spending a few pound extra, the potty I had previously was £5 and for £5 more you can have something so much better!Very happy.

I made the mistake of buying a second one too soon after starting potty training. Very pleased initially that I could just pour it into the toilet. My boy is happily sitting on it now. HOWEVER I can no longer be enthusiastic about his progress, as every single time I have to clean up the mess from the floor or change his pants. It's become a drag and it doesn't seem to be his fault (he is not overly enthusiastic and is in fact average in height and weight for his age..I even wondered whether that mattered). Just ordered the Tippitoes one.UPDATE: told son to sit further back and now no more mishaps. This was my only gripe and it is solved now. It is so easy to clean!

My daughter and I chose it on line for all of it's obvious advantages and positive reviews, plus the colour options were great( purple in our case.) But as soon as it arrived my nearly 3 year old tall daughter decided immediately that it was too small for her, was I frustrated !! She wouldn't go near it at all ! But quite soon I realised that she was right. Being tall it just wouldn't have worked easily at all, plus the actual bowl seemed quite narrow. She needs a potty chair I think ? I'd definitely recommend it though but for normal height toddlers and the younger the better probably because it's a great idea with the poring ability and it's certainly good quality.

Potty training wasn't going so well for my 2year old daughter. She was completely ready and was able to say when she needed to go but hated sitting on the potty and toilet. I realised that she was shifting around and not particularly comfortable on the potty that we had so I Googled comfortable potty for girls. The pourty came up and after reading some reviews I decided to buy it. The moment I sat my daughter on it was the moment her attitude towards the potty changed and was completely dry during the day a few short days later and even does number 2's on it. She loves pouring her wee away which she is able to do with this potty without spillage.

Absolutely fantastic product!!My daughter loves this potty (I know,I bought her a blue one! But she loves it!)Extremely sturdy and well built, the height is a little taller than most potty’s which makes sitting on it a lot easier for little ones. She says to me “I love my potty”The pourer is a great idea!! A lot less messy and waste slides right out. The pourer is also large enough to clean without getting any ‘mess’ on your hands.5 star product, very happy, definitely recommend for your little ones learning to potty train. As there are also no loose parts, there is nothing to ‘pinch’ the skin when in use. Worth every penny.
