This bottle is fab! would definitely recommend. we are expressing milk and feeding it to baby from a bottle as well as breastfeeding so we were concerned about nipple confusion. For the first few days of this we were using the tommee tippee small size bottles but the rigid silicone teat meant that a considerable amount of that precious colostrum just wasn't getting drank as baby couldn't get it out. The teat on the Nuk dummy is fantastic! Far more flexible and representative of a nipple shape (Has anyone at tommee tippee seen a nipple? if so they really need to direct the owner of it to a doctor). The anti colic hole really works and you can (reassuringly) hear it drawing out any air that has got in.As it is latex it is therefore able to move unlike the rigid tomee tippee silicone teat which is really neither use nor ornament. The only drawback I would consider if I was looking at buying this product for the first time would be if I had a very small baby. The teat size that comes with this bottle is medium flow (as far as I can see you can't actually buy the small teats on amazon but can get them from the Nuk website bought separately to this bottle) Our baby is 7lb 14oz and has had no problems managing the medium size teat hole. Admittedly she had a bit of a faff the first time we used this bottle and the milk kind of went all over her but every subsequent feed has been absolutely brilliant with no leakage. There is a little lid that you can place over the glass part of the bottle. This doesn't fasten on but it's a good option for storing the bottle in the fridge with the teat and cap on to keep it sterile. In terms of warming this bottle it is so much easier than the previous plastic ones. Don't mean to be so down on tommee tipee products as we have their sterilizer (which we use with these bottles) and it is really good but in terms of bottles and dummy's Nuk are the perfect match for my baby. Very happy customer will be recommending Nuk products everywhere I go!!!

Happy with these bottles. My motivation was that they are made of glass but I was disappointed they came with a plastic box (which I have found no use for) the lids are also plastic but i realise its impossible to make the whole thing with eco friendly material as it makes the washing and sterilizing process longer if they used other materials.I am exclusively breastfeeding and have began using these bottles to feed expressed milk. The small bottles are perfect for new born. My little one is now 4 weeks and she drinks often but less than 2/3 ounce per feed.I use the bigger bottle without a teat to store milk in fridge or carry with me in changing bag as expressed milk can stay out 6 hours sowhen my baby is ready for a feed i pour what I need and feed her from the smaller bottle to avoid wasting all the milk.I haven't tried to sterlise these in microwave. It does say they are dish washer friendly but i find it quicker to hand wash these then pop into bBowl with Milton tablet. The glass does look a litrl3 faded when out of the Milton but you kind to don't care after a while as long as it's safe for baby to drink from.I do find that my baby somedays struggles with nipple confusion but that's only if on that day she has been fed from bottles longer than normal. The flow from hes a teats are quite fast, but on another teat of the same size the flow is slower... so some nights I find i have to quickly express milk and feed with the bottle to make sure baby gets a good feed.Overall these are pretty good. My baby has some reflux/colic but it is manageable. The hole in the teat is effective but only if the bottle is held upright so that the full teat if filled with milk.I find you waste about half oz of milk in every feed as the milk goes below the airflow hole level and chances are baby is swallowing air past that stage. So pour 1/2 ounce more than you need and stop feeding once the milk goes below the air flow level to avoid wind getting into baby.

I used NUK bottles for my first baby as he took to it so well and decided to go for glass this time round with second baby.Fantastic that a big company like NUK are producing glass bottles as an alternative to plastic (after much research, have taken my kids off using plastic where we can). Not all companies have a glass/plastic free alternative.Love the feel of it: it’s weighted and doesn’t feel like it will easily smash. Feels like it will last much longer than plastic milk bottles which is great if you want to save money in the long run.Plus, the bottles will keep you going even after your baby stops using the teats (you can use these First Choice bottles with sippy spouts you buy separately).Theteat mimics the shape of the breast and I have found this true with my children: they have taken to NUK better than other brands. Also, I discovered the two hospitals I gave birth in also use NUK as their main feeding bottles they give to babies.I wash these bottles with the Oxo Tot bottle brush cleaner and it works great together. I don’t get bubbles splattering all over the sink; everything is contained within the bottle to be easily washed.NUK, please continue to produce glass feeding bottles + products: there are actually parents who want these!Just wish there was more choice on the market for plastic free baby products.Fantastic product - would highly recommend to parents!

This bottle was just what I was looking for. I disliked the fact that plastic bottles can have slight health risks and after a while would become cloudy after continuous sterilisation. This Nuk glass bottle is robust and does not feel heavy in my hands while feeding.I've only used this for expressed milk so far and my baby drank the milk without any issues. The teat is soft and feels closer to a nipple unlike the harder silicon teats. The bottle comes with a plastic cap, which you place on the opening of the bottle before you screw back on the teat. That stops any unwanted leakages if you need to mix formula or putting it into a bag to travel with. The milk warms up quickly which is definitely a big,big plus when you have a screaming hungry baby.Glass bottles are easier to clean and do not scratch as easy as plastic bottles. This means it won't harbor any unwanted odours and residue like plastic bottles. The fact that glass bottles do not contain any BPA and phthalates...and is chemical free is the biggest bonus. A small amount of BPA has been linked to contributing to hormonal damage, reproductive diseases and cancer making my decision to use glass final.Glass means no risk of leaching any harmful chemicals or toxins into the baby milk.I have not dropped it on concrete so I don't know how strong it is exactly but on wood floor it didn't break or crack so thumbs up there too.

I bought 4 of these because they are just the right size and came with the first/newborn (tiny hole) size teat. I had originally bought myself a different make 'starter' kit of bottles, which came in various sizes, but even the smallest of those bottles was just too big for a newborn. As you only start off with tiny amounts in the first few days, it was impossible to see how much you were feeding with the other bottles, but with this one it's small enough and well-marked so that you can see exactly how many ml/oz you're giving, and how fast they're taking it etc.I will say however, after 2 weeks I did have to buy the NUK 'medium' (second size)teats separately because the first size with the tiny feeding hole was too slow in the end (and too much work for my baby to take in the milk and she was wearing herself out in the end). Also, other brands's teats seem to be universal in size so that you can use different brand teats with whatever bottles you want, however the NUK bottles are not compatible so you have to buy only NUK teats to use with them. For this reason I've only awarded 3 starts for 'value for money' because it would be nice to be able to purchase the bottle and have a choice of what teat comes with it. For durability, ease of use though I've given 5 stars, and the glass bottle really does have a nice feel to it when feeding.

Fantastic bottles.I use these for expressed breast milk and the fat does not get stuck to the sides of the bottles - it gets stuck on plastic. The glass is robust, I am heavy handed and they have had a few knocks and drops and are still in one piece. As they are glass it is easy to warm the milk and feel the temperature. The glass also gives a nice weight to the bottle which I believe gives it a more natural feel for a feeding baby. The teats supplied are M so I had to buy the S ones separately but baby uses both the rubber and silicone ones without an issue. Baby has to use almost identical movements to breastfeeding to get the milk.Using these bottles and teats has not affected my baby's abilityto latch or caused bottle preference.

These bottles are amazing!!! My daughter used to scream with colic at nights but since we have switched to these bottles she seems so much more settled. The size 1 teat is perfect for a new born and has a slower flow so stops them gulping down excess air but also from drinking too fast, as this can make babies bring their feed back up. I combination feed between breast and these bottles and there have been no problems due to the design of the teat. The glass design also conducts heat better than plastic so warms up in super fast time. I recommend both the plastic and glass versions of these bottles and have just purchased some more as I love them so much.I would not recommend any other bottle as highly as these ones!!!!

This has been the only bottle my exclusively breast fed son would take any milk from !!! BUT then he had an allergic reaction ... I took him to a walk in centre and the reaction was most likely due to the formula so is a suspected cows milk allergy. However we have been advised to avoid using the bottle again because of its latex teat arghhhh - so I'm back to exclusively breast feeding again. It's such a shame as he took this bottle well after refusing siliconed tears repeatedly. My daughter also took a latex teat much better than silicone as its just so much softer. So I have given the product 5 starts ....I'm just disappointed that we can't use it until we find out if it was the latex or milk my son is allergic to.

I can’t speak to the durability of these yet as baby is still on the way, but we are happy with the heft of these glass bottles. I priced a lot of glass bottles and this set was reasonable my priced. It comes with a plastic carrying case, which I don’t prefer, but I will still use it since it arrived with it. The bottles are easy to hold and clean and come with everything necessary for feeding baby and transporting the bottles. As a starter set for reusable glass bottles, it’s a great start.

My mom bought me a couple from Germany and there were very durable. They keep the milk warm for longer but a little heavier that the plastic bottles.Very easy to clean and sanitise. I'm sure they would last longer than the average plastic bottles.Mine arrived cracked around the rim but got a replacement one the next day. It was easy to return the first one as well.Overall very good product and quick response. They are quite affordable for the quality and amount you get.

I am a breast feeding young mother and to get other fluids in to my 5month old was difficult with all the different bottles I had and bought for himThen I discovered this bottle and teat and it takes to it like he would my Breast so now getting extra fluid in him is easyDo not store these bottles upside down as the way the teat is designed it will slowly leak outMy son loves these bottles and I have bought many more of them with latex teats as he isn't fond of the silicone

the glass bottle allows to warm up and cool down much faster than plastic ones.been using it specially for cooling down water for formula.not recommended for breast milk as apparently the antibodies from the milk tend to stick to the glass surface.the teat is ok.even with the special lid on, sometimes leaks when making formula from powder. not as nice a system as avent for example, that doesnt need such a special lid, it just seals the teat with its normal lid.

Great for babies who don't like the silicone teats. Very fast flow so when bottle is tilted quite a lot of milk comes out. We used with breast milk and flow was too fast for our 8 week old. She did latch to this bottle much faster than any others we tried but the fast flow caused her to gag so we weren't able to continue using it. I would not recommend for newborns at all, especially if using with breast milk. A good product, just not for me.

I purchased this as I liked the idea of using as little plastic for the baby as possible. He took to this bottle well. The bottle is a nice size to hold and has a nice shape. The bottle is slightly heavy and when out and about this is a little awkward to carry around. There is also an element of caution required when transporting to prevent breaking. If left in sterilising solution over 20 minutes the teat becomes slightly paler in colour

Very good bottle for breast fed babies. I've tried lots of different teats and bottles with my son and he wasn't going for any of them. This is the one we have had the most joy with. We aren't 100% there with it yet and he still dribbles a bit out (hence 4stars) but I feel with a bit of practice he will really get the hang of it as he does actually latch onto this teat as a pose to just chewing the other ones we have tried with him.
