First time mummy here to a breastfed baby! Having hit the 6 month mark I decided it was time to buy a beaker for my baby girl. I wasn't that optimistic that my daughter would like anything other than the breast as she flatly refused a normal bottle. Was extremely surprised and elated when I first offered water from this beaker as my daughter immediately took to it! She seemed to know to grab the handles and put the mouth piece straight in to her mouth! Since the first day she has LOVED this beaker! I have no problems whatsoever giving her a drink from it!It's a very pleasant design with a softish flat teat that doesn't flow too fast or too slow. When my daughter is banging it around the water doesn't gush out but yes some does escape!Although I don't really mind. Probably the only niggle I have with it is when you put the cap on it it still leaks. You have to put another insert inside the teat to stop any leakage. This is only very minor though and i'm only complaining because i'm lazy. Overall though, brilliant product!! Couldn't recommend enough as a first beaker! I'm just so happy I found this first time.

I had been trying to get my baby to take a bottle and failed, then started with a spout cup when she was 6 month. She would only take a spout cup if it was free flow which was so messy and not something I wanted to use when out and about so I tried this cup. It flows just enough for her to realise she needs to drink and not bite or play with it but it doesn't spill all over her. She will happily drink 2 oz of water with meal from this when previously she wouldn't even take breastmilk from a bottle. Its really sturdy so I think it will last. The spout is tougher than a bottle teat but softer than other spouts. The cap makes it great for out and about and the handles are really good to give babies the chance to do things for themselves.Would really recommend.

I had been recommended this cup as particularly useful for helping breastfed babies learn to drink from cups. I can't say that she was remotely interested initially but recently (nearly 8 months) she has started using it at mealtimes for water. I agree with other reviewers that it's a way of allowing babies to use free-flow cups without quite so much fluid going everywhere, it's clearly easy for them to control. However, I suspect the popularity with my daughter lies in the fact that it's also nice to chew when teething and has the nicely designed handles that she can use. Additionally it is pretty (I know it's not important but I was surprised) and it seems robust and survives our outings,I like the stopper that comes with it too.

Excellent cup - had tried two already with my 7 month old before we finally found success with this one. Think she liked the soft spout as more like a teat as quickly got the hang of drinking from it. It's v useful to have the graduations on the side, particularly as she now (11 mths) also has milk from the cup, and also like that you can take off the handles as makes cleaning easier and means you can make it smaller for transporting. Only gripe is that it is quite leaky so have to ensure she wears a bib when having milk.

I bfed by baby and she never really took to taking a bottle easily. I ended up not persisting with a bottle and thought I would go straight to a beaker at around 6 months. Having tried various beakers and realising that my baby wasnt really taking very much at all from the beakers, I was beginning to think that I would end up bfeeding my baby for a lot longer than I had planned. Then I tried the NUK learner bottle and my baby took to it straight away....she guzzled the milk down. Brilliant product in my opinion.

Was really struggling to get my 10 month old daughter to drink water, was having to resort to spooning it into her mouth. After looking at other reviews I thought I'd give this bottle a try and it has been great. Almost straight away she started drinking, just little bits to start but now drinking plenty. The handles are a good size and shape for her to grip - although be warned, as it is a free flow spout you will get water all over the place as your baby practices holding the bottle!

I wanted a beaker that my son could hold and that he could easily suck on for milk feeds as I was transitioning from breast feeding, I had trouble with some beakers as he chewed on them - he does chew on this but also takes a decent amount of feed. There is a removable cap inside the bottle so that the beaker can be taken out without spillage. The spout is semi soft and easy enough for him to suck from. Overall am happy with it and bought two more to take on holiday.

I'll probably buy one more. This is the only one that my 6 month old daughter can really drink of, tried a lot of others, she seems to really prefer this one.Very easy to clean, (and the others are nightmares to assemble, this one is really easy). The hole on it looks big, but actually it does not seem to cause any problems to her. Easy to hold and maneuver for the little hands.Go ahead and buy it, I definitely recommend.

I bought this for my son, as a transition cup between a bottle teat and a hard cup spout, and I'm really pleased. The teat it a hard silicon, so still very chewable but stiff. The handles on the bottom come off, so you don't need to use them. And the disc inside to close the cup is a great idea (although the first few times we used it we forgot to remove it, leaving my son very upset!!)Overall a nice product

16.4.2012

I get frustrated constantly having to take the lid off to then take the disk out every time it's used, but my now 8 month old absolutely loves it. I have tried so many others, as I don't trust it not to leak in my bag (it hasn't yet but i'm very careful) but she's having none of it!! The handles, which come off, also double as a great teether. I don't think she's giving it up any time soon!!

Having tried virtually every beaker on the market, this was definitely my baby's favourite one. The teat is soft to protect gums and developing teeth and the bottle is easy to handle for little hands. The teat can be subsituted with the NUK teats for milk and so baby can learn to give themselves their milk too. All round a great range of products and I'd definitely recommend.

This is about the 5th cup I tried as my little one would not drink from the spouts of the others. He loves this cup and uses it with ease. I also love this cup, the peeps at Nuk put a lot of thought into their designs, this comes with a little cap to fit between the liquid and spout so there is no leakage which is great when you are out and about. Thoroughly recommended.

This has been great for baby’s first water and milk beaker. Only down side is he’s able to chew through it (after a while and effort) so I do keep an eye on it (don’t want him swallowing the silicone). So I’ve had to buy a couple of replacements for the teat part for when that happens as I have two of them. Washes easily with no little parts.

This product really helped my baby start taking formula, he rejected all other bottles and believe me I tried a lot, from Dr browns to almost buying breast bottle which was really expensive, but once he tried this, he loved it absolutely and he is 9 months now and he still loves it, I bought 3 more because this is all he drinks from.

We use this at nighttime for our two year olds bottle for bed. It was a step up from a bottle as it has a beaker like spout but is still soft. He really likes it and now holds it himself until it reach the end when you have to tip it right up and then he gets us to hold it for him. It just holds enough for his 5oz bedtime milk.
