After being converted to the plastic Munchkin Miracle cup with my then 3 year old and 9 month old, I was delighted to see an insulated version that will keep drinks cool for hours as now they are 5 and 22 months the original cups are still going strong they are definitely worth the expense as they are robust and only leak if you throw them on the floor hard (little spray on impact) or if your 5 year old insists on fizzy not flatwater then drops it!They work by the same system of the mouth applying suction creating a vacuum in the silicone lips and the drink flooding into that vacuum to be drunk by the child. It takes a few goes but once they get it right once, they are away.My youngest was exclusively breastfed and took to it like a duck to water, my eldest by that point had had several sippy cups from straw to spout and beyond but this has been the one that worked best for us.This insulated model is ideal for summer and trips out, it keeps drinks cold for ages- I conducted an experiment after the postie dropped it through our door, I washed and rinsed it, filled it with cold water from our fridge dispenser and added 2 ice cubes to see how long it kept them cool on the countertop with our heating keeping the room around 19-20oC. Checking every hour or so, I ended up giving up just before midnight because the ice cubes were still chunky and frozen solid. Of course under hotter and outdoor conditions this won't necessarily last as long, and I can't see the drink remaining untouched after that time either but good to know if you wanted to stash a drink for the end of a day out or visit to be refreshing and cool for the ride home.My only criticisms? I would've liked a caribiner or similar clip being as the advertising points to outdoor use- it would be handy to be able to clip on a rucksack etc and out of comfort and worry about denting I would've preferred a rubberised grip on the stainless steel cup to reduce the risk of slippage and associated damage. The colder the drink, the colder the cup and condensation occurs making it slippy. But these aren't worth deducting a star over, this is a fab cup and whichever loses the battle for this one will be compensated with their own- and their choice of colour!

This Munchkin Miracle Cup is BPA free, suitable for children 12 months and up, has a capacity of 296 ml, comes with a lid and is available in a range of four bright colours. I didn't originally intend this for my five year old, but she saw it and claimed it. She likes to have a cup of water next to her bed at night, and as she'd already accidentally knocked a beaker over twice it seemed like a good idea. We've used plastic 360 degree beakers before, but the stainless steel design of this beaker means drinks stay cooler for longer. It also means it is a little heavier than the plastic beakers of similar size. So it's probably a good thing that this didn't end up with my little one,as he has a very good throwing arm. You may want to bear in mind the temperament of the child you are buying for.It does come with a safety booklet which has a list of don'ts including (but not limited to) do not microwave or use with hot liquids, do not use with carbonated or pulpy beverages and do not let your child play, bite or chew on the valve. Worth reading so you don't make any slip ups. The beaker does occasionally seem to leak from the lid. We've had this with the plastic beakers as well, I think it's if you overfill the beaker. I'm not sure why it happens but seems to happen most when the beaker is very full.Overall - very pleased. It is a little on the expensive side, but if looked after should last for years.

The cup was packed in 100% recycling packaging heavy duty brown card and has a quote on it saying they donate to the international fund for animal welfare, this is also the whole reason the cup is decorated with a cute fox picture on the cup.The cup itself is also 100% recyclable. A lot of attention to the recycling element and then in really really tiny writing theres a warning telling you to read instruction leaflet for your childs health and safety! Have to say there wasnt an instruction leaflet in the plastic bag that the cup was also packed in!Into the cup, great looking 9oz cup nice and bright cute fox and hearts in pink orange and white.Didnt smell yucky like some of these kids cups in fact didnt smell at all which is a bonus. The cup its self, munchkin  claims, is dentist approved and supports muscle development, seems true as the cup can be sucked on round the 360' of the lip, theres no spout just soft rubbery lip around the top.My granddaughter loves the cup and it's been a great transition from a bottle. Not the easiest thing to clean, but the top lid pops off to reveal tiny holes that could get clogged up with milk. I would probably only use it for water and juices.Great non spill cup no accidental spillage. All round I would give it 5 stars. Thanks

You can take a toddler to water, but you cannot make them drink. Our house is full of various types of bottle, sippy cup and straws; all are designed to try and get the child to drink. One day it is the pink one, the next the dog shaped cup. As of today the 'Munchkin Miracle' has done the impossible thing of remaining the vessel of choice for a few days. Why is this? The green lid is jolly and attractive and has a rubber seal that means you can drink from any lip. No more pesky having to turn the cup around to get to the bit you can actually drink from. It also acts as a way of stopping the fluid from leaking; it stays put unless you press down somehow on the seal. One area that has impressed us as adults is the stainless steel,it is not just for looks, but acts as a type of thermos and keeps the drink inside colder for a lot longer than normal. This is great for milk from the fridge or for a child who likes their juice chilly. The steel also passes the dropping test with flying colours, it may sound a little disturbing when it hits, but it is very robust and easy to clean. The 360 range from Munchkin is already a great one, but adding the stainless steel cup just adds to it.

On a personal mission to acquire a little less plastic than is deemed 'essential' to raise a child. It's an active and daily navigation for sure. People have raved to me about these 360 cups so I've coughed up a considerable few more quid to get this steel variety. Our kid is still tiny (1 year) but has made the transition from a bottle onto this with a few gulpy / bitey practices. Baby now drinks from it with ease but we still have to help to physically tip the cup. It looks as if this is because arms aren't long enough yet rather than not being able to hold the weight. In time we suspect it will become second nature. Couldn't bear the idea of purchasing multiple plastic training cups for a few months at a time before the next age related design is recommended,so didn't. We've gone straight to this. It keeps drinks super cool and cleaning it is easy. Two tips. 1. Always use the cap if you're stuffing it in a bag and 2. if the lid ever gets stinky (we use milk and water in it on rotation) this can be 'neutralised' by cutting a wedge of lemon and scrubbing that around the nooks and crannies of the (exceptionally clever yet simple) lid before a rinse. So far, so good.

These are the best toddler/preschooler/kid cups i've found. The first all plastic ones I bought a year ago and I only looked to replace them very recently, all the others I'd tried regularly went in the bin with chewed spouts and hard to clean straws. These are so easy to clean and although I bought them when my children were 2 and 4, and past the main chewing phase, I don't think you could get the same flakey plastic with these like you do with a normal spout. The stainless steel versions are even better especially in the summer because they keep the drink cool for ages, I can send these in to school and nursery in the morning knowing that they'll have nice cool drinks, and at bedtime their water will stay cool all night. In a years time when I look to replace the lids it would be great if Munchkin would sell them separately because the stainless steel should just last on and on.I admit I had to look on youtube when I first bought them to see how you drink from them - you just sip/suck but the kids worked it out straight away. They can leak if you leave them for a while on their side in a bag so I keep them mostly upright but they don't leak if knocked over.

I bought this to take into work, and it's surprisingly nice; 296ml makes for a decent-sized cup of coffee or water, and it's insulated for hot or cold liquids too. For once, all of the advertising blurb is true; you can safely knock this over and it won't leak or spill. It's also very easy to clean; swilling and rinsing it out with detergent will clean it very thoroughly and quickly even without running it through a dishwasher. On first use, it's actually a little difficult to drink from as a result of the anti-spilling construction; you need to suck fairly strongly to part the silicone seal around the rim and let the liquid out, and the first couple of times you use it,the silicone immediately under your nose smells a little weird. However, I have experimented with knocking it over and leaving it lying on its side with no ill effects. It also comes with a semi-flexible lid that snaps onto place on the rim, but which you can remove one-handed using a tab on the side. It's a little pricey, but it works for adults with all the benefits of being designed to be nearly indestructible and leak-proof for small children too.

My grand daughter absolutely loves this! In the hot weather it's great to take a drink out which actually stays cold and this cup is ideal for keeping drinks cold all day. The top opens at the press of a button to reveal a flexible silicone drinking straw and when you close the lid again, it's leak proof. It's easy enough for a child to open and close it on their own. It's made from insulated double-walled stainless steel which does make it a bit heavy, so therefore it's probably not suitable for babies under a year old. It has easy-grip handles, and the appealing shape of a cat makes it a fun toy as well. Apparently you can get them in 4 colours: purple (the one we have), blue, green and pink. The only criticism I have is that it doesn't look particularly easy to clean the straw and, although the lower part comes apart, the bend in the top part of the straw makes it difficult to clean with a brush, but I guess there's no way around that. Also, the cup doesn't really hold very much, but if it was bigger it would be heavier - swings and roundabouts I guess.

It was not obvious at first how the liquid in the cup could get out, but when I consulted the leaflet I realised that the person drinking has to put some effort in, i.e. it does not simply pour through as most sippy cups do. It is controlled by the drinker and they can drink as much or as little as they want.It keeps cold things cold, so it can be prepared before bedtime and it will still be chilled for during the night, and it would also be very useful for trips out. In both cases there’s no risk of leakage.Although it is intended for children, it can also be used for adults with disabilities which make drinking difficult. We have a friend with Parkinson’s disease,of the type that locks your muscles; she tried the cup today, and she managed to hold it herself and suck on the rim to get some of the liquid out. Normally she uses a straw and has to have someone hold the glass for her, so this is a boost to her confidence and her ability to do things for herself. She has decided to buy one for herself.I applaud the inventor of this amazing cup.

Cool cat thermal drinks holder. This is more than a normal kiddy cup in so much that it is a kind of flask/ sippy cup and travel cup in one.It has easy to grab handles (which can be removed if you want) a push button opening lid, soft upper straw and a firmer lower straw, all of which can be dissembled for washing. The upper straw has a flow limiter in the end to stop liquids coming out too quickly and to stop them flowing back down it as well. The down side to this is that this is quite tricky to clean. It is also lovely and soft and squishy, making it feel great to chew on, so you need to keep a check on it to make sure that little one hasn’t done so and damaged it.It has a weighted bottom which helps stops it tipping it over, but if it is thrown/knocked over it doesn’t spill, making it great to take on trips out.The thermal quality is brilliant ( no one likes a lukewarm drink!) and really keeps the contents chilled.

We have an abundance of drinking utensils for the kids. but the 'Munchkin Cool Cat Stainless Steel Straw Cup' has to be one of the best. It is a very cleverly designed cup; two little handles, a straw that pops up from under a cap that seals. All of this and it looks a little bit like a cat. There are little ears and if you push the 'nose' this makes the cap spring up and the straw appear. The added bonus to all of this is that it is metal and therefore very robust. It has already survived a few drops onto the floor. The entire build quality is very high and it just feels good to hold and is easy to drink from. The purple is nice and neutral, but stands out.We now use this as the school cup that is taken into class and left with the coats. It is robust enough to survive being taken back and forth, but also distinctive enough that you can tell which drink is yours.

Stainless steel makes double-walled construction possible which is great for insulation, although I’m not convinced about the 15 hours claim in the video. It’s both tough and smart-looking too. As for the plastic top, it really does work as claimed, and the separate sealing cap is very welcome. It’s quite fat for small hands and double the weight of plastic, though, and there’s no handle. Also, unlike plastic, it makes quite a clang when dropped. I guess it could get dented fairly easily, possibly even do some damage, if dropped or thrown.Miracle? No, but it’s very good. I’d suggest one of these for travel and a plastic version with handles such as the Munchkin Miracle 360 Degree Trainer Cupfor everyday use around the house and garden.PS Call me a pedant but it grates that they couldn’t be bothered to translate to British English (nightstand, regular cup…).

This cup is super easy to use and clean. My baby was able to drink from it easily from the time we got it when he was 8 or 9 months. It has helped him learn to drink from a cup without all the mess. My older son had the plastic version and he learned how to drink well from a cup really early because of this. I love how the container is metal so it doesn’t pick up the funky tastes that most plastic silly cups have. In my mind it also means less risk of potential toxins leaching into the water from the plastic (as the cup is metal). I would recommend this for babies over the age of 6-7 months and children can continue to use this for quite a while as it means you can throw it in the pushchair to take with you.I would say keep it upright though as there can be a small risk of a leak if laying on its side and something pushes up against it.

So I jumped at the opportunity to get this bottle as it's stainless steel, it's got a super kawaii design and it's small enough to fit in my handbag! I appreciate it's a sippy cup aimed at toddlers but I've been looking for a stainless steel bottle to fit in my bag for years and here it is!Luckily the handles can be removed so it doesn't look so much like a kid's bottle. It's easy to take apart and clean, however presumably to stop children from choking, you don't get much fluid when using the straw.I may let my niece use this when she visits and reattach the handles. It is perfect for little hands, is definitely spill proof and is extremely sturdy and not easily damaged no matter how much it is knocked around. It keeps fluid nice and cool due to the stainless steel and the design is adorable. Recommended.

This is a very cute design and brought a real smile to my grandson's face when he saw it first. The stainless steel cup part is easy to clean and the flip-top lid which is opened by pressing a button does stop any unwanted leaks when the cup is not in use.The plastic straw is not the easiest to clean and I find that I need to send it through the dishwasher after rinsing it through thoroughly. I have also had to use a tiny bottle brush cleaner that I have to make sure nothing has stuck in the straw. I have also used sterilizing solution to ensure it is really clean from time to time. I do that with all the grandchildren's sippy cups every now and then. This is better than my other cups as thisone keeps the drink nice and cool throughout the whole day if needed though it usually gets drunk before that long.
