Nioxin provide a good range of products in their 3D range that genuinely work well to help give hair body and hold for styling, while at the same time adding a layer of protection against heating and colouring damage, but their Trial Kits provide a good starter set of products to help already damaged, tired and thinning hair to get back to a healthy condition.This set contains a Nioxin shampoo, conditioner and a scalp and hair treatment for light, thinning hair. On their own the shampoo and conditioners will keep your hair in excellent condition, lather well and have a nice minty fresh scent. I'm less convinced by the effectiveness of any hair treatments, I've tried it and didn't see any noticeable difference,

Nioxin 3 Part Trial Kit System 3 is a good way of adding extra texture and volume to my hair. I have used this set of product over the period of a week and I have noticed a slight change not only in the volume but it does look healthy.The menthol fragrance and the tingling effect on my scalp especially when leaving the conditioner on for two-three minutes, great for clearing the sinuses!!I do like this brand of hair cleansing and conditioning kits, and would happily purchase again especially after immediately after colouring my hair. As I have found it does help protect the colour of my hair which is a very strong colour, therefore, I need to take care of what products I use on my hair.

I have been using the Nioxin 3 system of cleanser conditioner and scalp treatment since the beginning of 2019 following a severe bout of alopecia. I had given up hope that there were any effective hair and scalp treatments for hair loss on the market after having tried them all! I have noticed a massive improvement in my scalp and hair condition since starting to use it. Whilst it may be a coincidence that my hair has started to regrow since using this brand; and I should also mention that I have simultaneously been using topical steroid treatments prescribed by my doctor, I’m sure these hair treatments have contributed to the improvement of my condition.

My hair has been thinning a bit as I get older so I was interested to try the Nioxin system. It's three steps - shampoo, conditioner and a hair/scalp 'treatment' - that don't claim to make hair regrow but say that they will improve the condition of your hair and scalp to make hair look fuller and not thin as much in future. This review is for number 3, for coloured hair with light thinning. I could definitely smell the menthol in the products, but it wasn't unpleasant. It even made my scalp tingle! I haven't been using this for 30 days but I did notice that my hair looked good and felt more full in the week or so I have used the three products. It does make the washing process far more time-intensive!

I’m torn. I don’t know if this is great, or a waste of money... so it’s probably the latter cos otherwise I wouldn’t feel so divided and would be over the moon.For the first few uses, my hair felt amazing. My scalp was fresh, and my hair bouncy. My scalp felt like it had been soothed. After getting into the routine of using it, I felt like my hair starting looking dull again. I ended up using this only when my scalp became irritated. I know it advises you to use this everyday, however, the results did not encourage me to damage my hair from daily washing or to waste such an expensive product on regular use.My hair has grown in the past few months but I think that’s because I’ve been taking iron pills for a deficiency.

I'm delighted to have found this product that I can use with coloured hair. Even on first use the texture of my hair felt a little better. It smells absolutely wonderful. I was expecting something chemical, but it smells really nice and natural with a menthol scent which is such a pleasure to use and really leaves my hair in good condition. My scalp also feels really nice and clean and it has not irritated my sensitive skin. I think it is just improving and improving each time I use it and has given me a bit more confidence about my hair. I didn't expect it to make my hair feel silkier too , but it actually does. I have course frizzy hair that is thinning slightly and it works really well on my hair.

According to the blurb that accompanies this product, System 3 leaves hair thicker, denser-looking and with a vibrant colour. System 3 is formulated to remove follicle-clogging sebum, fatty acids and environmental residues, while amplifying hair texture, providing moisture balance and colour protection. If you are expecting hair regrowth, this is not what this shampoo ‘system’ claims to do.Indeed, it does just what it says on the box; it certainly made my thinning hair look and feel thicker. The product leaves my hair feeling lovely too. The shampoo itself has an almost menthol smell, whilst the conditioner was lovely and thick in consistency.

I had nano hair extensions for almost 2 years. So when I eventually got them taken out my natural hair was extremely thin & short. My hairdresser recommended Nioxin. I’ve been using it for 2 months now & I honestly cannot believe the difference in my hair. It has grown at least an inch, and it’s so thick & healthy. I was so worried that I had damaged my natural hair beyond repair & that it wouldn’t grow again but I am so pleased with the results. This is the only shampoo/conditioner I use. I use it 3 times a week. I did put castor oil in my hair a few times overnight because it was also recommended to me, so that may have helped too. But anyways, cannot recommend this product enough.

I really wanted to like this and booted out would work on my ultra fine and colour damaged hair.First the good. The shampoo smells lovely and minty and tingles on the scalp.The conditioner is also great smelling.The not so good. The shampoo doesn't foam very much and the conditioner doesn't make my hair very smooth (compared to others like Aussie 3 minute miracle).The part 3 product which is the thickening serum did make the hair thicker but not in a good way. It didn't feel natural.Of course I'm aware that different products react differently with different hair types. Unfortunately for me it was only an "ok" not an "excellent".

The ethos of this shampoo/conditioner/treatment is that your scalp should be treated as skin like that on your face - these products have strong menthol scent and leave a pleasant tingle on the scalp, it feels like the shampoo is cleaning away build-up and 're-setting' hair. The conditioner left my hair feeling smooth and shiny; the post-conditioner should be used sparingly as it can leave hair crunchy is over-used. The manufacturer is clear that this needs 6 weeks to make a difference to thickness and strength - for me, this is good to use once a week alongside 'beauty' products and a deep conditioner.

My hair was coming out in handfuls everytime I washed it, it was quite alarming. After only 2 uses of the Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner the difference was amazing and very noticeable. Hardly any hair came out, only what I would consider to be a normal slight amount. It may be expensive but it`s been worth every penny. I`m so impressed. It was recommended to me by a friend who`d had cancer and her surgeon had recommended it to her so I felt that was a great recommendation to take notice of. With further use my hair is noticeably thicker and healthy looking and the peppermint smell is really nice too.

Great for people who are worried about hair loss,thinning hair or problem scalp.This was recommended by my hairdresser as although my hair is treated/coloured it does require a treatment shampoo as my hair is thinning.This product is designed for treated hair and has a cooling effect on the scalp and pleasant smell.Last forever as you only need a tiny amount.Best price was here on Amazon;plus i've used "subscribe and save" for both shampoo and conditioner which works out even better value.I do use both together for best result,which i have seen over the past 2 months.Very happy with this product.

I’ve been using this shampoo for over 5 years now and wouldn’t use anything else. The difference is amazing, but don’t expect to notice it over night. It takes a long time. Old shampoo lathered better using smaller amount, therefore new bottle doesn’t last as long. You only need one wash and only condition the ends of your hair not your scalp. I don’t care for the Nioxin conditioner, but the leave in thickening gel is good, again keep it away from scalp, not because of irritation but to avoid residue build up which blocks hair follicles, therefore preventing hair growth.

I have been using this shampoo for a while now and to begin with I wasnt sure if I liked it or not, it did seem to give my hair more volume so I carried on using it.Now I have been using it for about 6 months I can definitely see an improvement I don't get so much hair lose when washing my hair and it is nice and shiny and healthy looking, although I don't know whether or not I have actually grown replacement hair it does make my hair look thicker and with more volume so it hides the thinner areas.

Best shampoo I have ever used after hairdressers recommended it. My hair started shedding really bad and after a good 8 inch cut and starting to use this shampoo and an intensive conditioner from another brand my hair began growing back, had a constant shine and also felt really thick. People commented on the difference, I ran out of it and within months my hair felt so much worse. It took about 4-6 weeks for the growth to show but only two weeks for the shine. I won’t use another shampoo now.
