I think this product is excellent. I have sampled a few different protection programmes lately and I really despise protection programs that use unnecessary amounts of memory and crucial system components to protect your system. I am also not fond of programs that want to watch your entire system activities, waiting to pounce on any suspect file or program most of which are related to a program that actually does something important.System shield does none of these things, it is very much like the early Norton Anti Virus corporate editions that just monitor malicious files and suspect programs that could be spyware and that it pretty much all you need and it does it very well indeed.Already it has eliminated 4 viruses my son picked up and a dodgy program. The virus removal tool is also straight forward and easy to use and you can't by accident re-infect your system. The only slight downer was that the updater likes to update the moment you log on, which is annoying when using a wireless network as Windows is still talking to router to assimilate logon details; system shield slows this process down further. Also disappointing is that the version I received is only for a year but I assume the retail version will be different. All in all a really good product stay clear of system works and try system shield.

Well the title says it all really, this is without a doubt the finest PC security that I have ever used.It acts quickly and doesn't bog down, or even grind to a halt in some cases, your computer. It has very easy to understand navigation pages and eye pleasing graphics and ensures real time treat protection with a virtually invisible footprint and nearly zero resource usage. It does not interrupt other programmes with popups, doesn't weigh down your system with unnecessary add-ons and background activity and destroys threats quickly and quietly as you work, you will hardly notice that it's doing it's job.It does all the usual stuff one would expect such as figting the war against viruses, trojans, worms, rootkits, polymorphic and information attacks. It keeps out spywear, password and indentity theft attempts. It neutralises tracking softwear, botnets, keyloggers, adwear and backdoors. It even provides first rate protection against crimewear, ransomewear, scarewear and scumwear all designed to embezzle you out of your money, well this product hammers them all.I am massively impressed by this anti virus kit and it nocks others such as Norton and MacAfee etc into oblivion. I have a feeling that I won't be using anything else but this for quite a while yet.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This AV and FW sits quietly in the background and does it's job. It is nothing spectacular, to look at or to use, but it is trouble free and just does it's thing. The most I see from this is the REGULAR definition updates, it does them all the time. It is reassuring to see it updating so often and again there is little footprint on your system resources. There really isn't a lot to say about this product. The User interface is nice, if a little sparse - you get a display showing you the status of your scan (has one taken place recently), your definitions and the real time sheild, under this it tells you what - if any - action needs to take place. There is also the main menu, this is where you can tinker with all the usual - under the hood - stuff. This is the usual fair where you can specify what you want the software to set the options for the real time protection, emails checking and update schedules. Although it doesn't look as feature rich as Norton type packages, there is still plent there for the more experienced user while simple enough to not overwhelm the novice.

The problem with reviewing anti virus software is deep down you never actually want it to have to prove to you how well it works because it will mean you're infected...However the main selling point of this wasn't just the incredible anti virus protection but also how that it doesn't slow down your system, and on that note it does exaclty what it says on the tin.Unlike certain other products which say they run silently in the background and then clog your system up so much that you have to uninstall it (you know who you are big branded name!) this one doesn't cause problems at all.It just loiters in the background letting you get on with your work quite happily, you would never even know it's there (and lets be honest, that is what we want)For the ultimate test I let my dad install it to see if it was simple to do and he did it without so much as a phonecall, so that gets brownie points as well

So far so good. No virus infections. The in-depth scanning is much better than my previous virus-guard software (AVG 9) and also just as it says on the box quite unobtrusive and although on my slowish laptop I do notice it operating occasionally, it still takes our less speed out of the computer than when I had AVG. Also the fact that it has antispyware rolled in too, it meant I could uninstall windows defender, which also used to slow things down for me. So it has advantages. The only thing I would say is that it only has a one year license, but they do offer discount on the second year but you need to sign up now. Previously when I bought AVG, it came with a two year license on first purchase. But it 's 3PC license,so that is a bonus especially as some households have more than one computer these days

For once, AV software that actually does what it says on the box. This is a very easy to install, easy to manage piece of software. It's also very effective at rooting out threats, and is much easier to live with than most other AV solutions - i.e it doesn't seem to slow down the PC at all, even when running system scans. I've had it installed for more than a week, and it has managed to identify and isolate several potential threats. Thankfully, none of these represented a real danger, but it was a good indication of how thorough this software is. Not a bad price either, although I'm sure many will prefer to pay a bit extra and go with one of the big product names. My advice would be to give System Shield 4 a try,and I think you will be suitably impressed. A great piece of software!

I have only a superficial knowledge of the intricacies of computer protection systems....I know they are needed to protect the computer from viruses etc but my knowledge ends there. I installed this System Shield 4 Anhtivirus and Antispyware on my laptop. The installation was simple and I was able to follow the onscreen instructions. But how do I judge as to how effective this system is? All seems well - and I guess "no news is good news".

It installs well and the user interface is quite simple.Fully controllable scheduling, etc, etc.The program bubbles away in the background and doesn't bother you, unless it has to.It doesn't slow my PC down like AVG does, which is what I was really hoping for.You are informed whenever the program finds something it finds suspicious. The license is for one year and it's well worth renewing.Recommended.
