OK so if you are an individual you will have at least 4 devices yourself. If you have a family of 4 you might have upto at least 16 devices on your home network that all need internet protection. (Desktop, Laptop, Tablet & Phone)We have personally tried different makes of internet protection over the years including Norton, McAfee, Panda, & Kapersky but found Mcafee to be best suited our needs. It offers an easy interface and learns your preferences so you do not constantly get pop ups every two minutes like you used to when they were first brought out.Regarding this product which offers protection to an unlimited number of devices, it is a brilliant price for what is offered.I was however a little scepticle when reading the reviews as some (only a few) had a little trouble installing the software. I personally found it very easy to install on my Windows 10, 8.1 and android devices. I only encountered a problem when I was not paying attention and when installing this software on a Windows 10 pc, the software automatically recognised the previous Plusnet Protect Internet protection software (McAfee Re-Branded) and attempted to uninstall it before installing this new subscription. Unfortunately I was not paying attention and turned the pc off before it had totally uninstalled the previous Internet protection100% and this meant I had technical difficulties installing it for a few days. However, I tried it a few days later and it installed immediatelly, so as long as you pay attention and make sure the previous software is 100% uninstalled before re-booting your pc you should be completely fine.It comes as a digital code (NO CD included) - along with easy to use instructions. If you have not already got a McAfee accout you just create one - once installed on one device on the network it will search your network for other devices and offer to send a link for the correct software (depending on operating system such as Windows, Android ect) and send a link with a download via email to each device.I would recommend this item as it worked out cheaper than paying per device via our Broadband provider, now we have relative peace of mind that all our devices have been protected to the best level available for home users, this also comes with family protection included and password locker although this the pasword locker is for a limited number of users. One last piece of advice is, no matter how good your internet protection, the hackers out there are getting very sophisticated - For extra protection do the following:1/ Install this software on each device on the network (not sure if you can do this for a smart TV though)2/ When giving kids, teenagers their own Windows laptop, ensure you make an admin side for the PC, with a seperate user side for the Child,Teenager. This ensures that NO software, games ect can be installed without you the parent doing all the relevent safety checks before installing. Basically nothing can be installed without the ADMIN password or PIN being entered.3/ Ensure Family protection has been enabled on all devices related to kids, then you can decide what type of website to avoid/allow aswell as limit the hours allowed on the internet.Hopefully this review has been helpful to you -

I've been using this for a while now so thought an update to my original might be useful. I now also have access to two other computers one using Norton and the other Kaspersky. I'm sure all three are highly effective at preventing viruses as all are highly rated in virus tests - I would say that the Kaspersky and McAfee are the least "intrusive", with Norton often asking me this or that via a pop-up. I prefer an antivirus that operates silently in the background and so remain a fan of this McAfee. Also - at present at least it's currently very inexpensive indeed to renew when the year is up, especially at Amazon prices. The thing to remember is not to agree to auto-renewal,but just buy a new full product each year and simply add in the new serial number.A great product!Original review:I've been sent a free copy of this to review, but it's an indispensable bit of software that I've been using paid versions of for two years now. I've also put it on all of the family's computers as I seem to be the one who sorts the computers out. It is a very good program. Why? Firstly I'd say because it installs very easily indeed and works completely silently in the background, catching all viruses that try to enter the machine as well as alerting you to any "unsafe" websites that you might accidentally visit. Also, the company "McAfee" are a part of the Intel group, who actually make the main part of your PC - its CPU. I think they should know what they are doing; and they do. This anti-virus has worked brilliantly on, what, 11 PCs in the family and continues to do so.It is possible to defeat all anti-virus programs even though this one has so far been rock solid. If you are the sort of individual who opens link in emails, for example, and then follow this rather foolish action through with a further click of the mouse on what is a "phishing" website then trouble lies in store. All anti-virus software will assume that you wanted to make that mouse click - and zap! your PC is infected. If you know you have got a virus on your PC, and it has got through McAfee or whichever program you use, then running your anti-virus on "full scan" should sort it, but if that happens, it's definitely worth running a second independent scan using a free product available by download from the internet (such as the wonderfully named Malwarebytes or the better named "Hitman Pro"). Both of these cost nothing to use on a "once only" basis and both work well as a second line of defence (of course you should never run more than one anti-virus program continuously on any PC as this will slow down or even crash the PC). Even with McAfee therefore, it's vital to practise "safe computing" and avoid virus risks.

McAfee Total Protection 2016 Unlimited Devices (FFP) (PC/Mac/Android/iOS)What you get.-------------------You are sent a McAfee envelope with a download key on a card. This seems to be becoming common practice with some software as not all devices have DVD drives.Device coverage.-----------------------This software provides cover for all modern devices. Windows, Mac’s, Android, IPhones and tablets running iOS and Android version. It’s pretty comprehensive and you can download to all your devices, there is no restriction to how many of each device you can load this onto so it represents great value for money.Installation.---------------You will need an internet connection to download this to your device. To do this you go onto McAfee’s sites, enter the download area, put in your code that is supplied with your pack and off you go.Footprint.-------------The software is very efficient and does not slow devices down all. In my own tests it performs well on all my machines running Windows 7, 8 and 10Using.---------It’s basically set and forget and the software works in the background to protect you while going online. It stops viruses, hackers and malware from infecting your machines. For phones it has much of the same security options that it has for desktop machines so it is very comprehensive. The customisation options are many and some options are buried under multiple screens. These are really for advanced use but as it comes it does a good job with no user intervention.I have had it running on my HTC M9 phone, Samsung tablet and a couple of desktops for a few weeks now and it has stopped, quarantined or deleted everything the net has thrown at it. It continuously scans in the background and is processor use sensitive so it slows down if other applications need the cpu. Even on an older Nokia phone with a single core cpu it did not make its presence felt with the overall usability of the phone. It is very well designed and a free help contact is available 24 hours if you run into any problems. In independent magazine tests this software has come out well for detection, ease of use and flexibility. McAfee is now backed by Intel so it has the resources to develop this software well.Overall.-----------A cheap and effective way of protecting a lot of devices against the nasties on the internet. It is easy to download and set up. Using the advanced features can be a bit tricky as the menu system is not that logical in places. However, overall it is now a contender along with Kaspersky and Norton and provides equally good protection.

McAfee is one of the products I have used in the past to protect the windows virtual machines running on my macs and my prior experience has been totally trouble free. Hence when I was offered the chance to use this multi-platform, unlimited devices licence that will run on all my desktop, laptop and mobile devices I was interested. My first experience was not so good. I tried to install in on Mac OS X and it refused to install saying there was existing AV on there and could not install. That was it, no hint of what or where it was located. So I carried on and installed it on the Windows 7/10 virtual machines and my iPad which were all easy and trouble free installs.I set up the vault on the iPad to secure my files and the device security to protect my privacy and increase my chances of getting my property back if it's stolen. I tested both and they worked well. My confidence in the product was partially restored but there was still the issue of the Mac install failing. The online help on the McAfee website was as useful as the install failure message. Eventually I tracked it down to some residual folders from an abortive trial with Kaspersky AV on the Macs (it was appalling, flaky and slowed the macs down noticably). So a black mark for Kaspersky for a rubbish uninstall and one for McAfee for uncommunicative error messages. Once these folders were deleted the install proceeded very smoothly and, much to my surprise has been rock solid and runs un-noticed in the background. Now I'm sure there will be some Apple fans who'll say you don't need AV on a Mac and they may be right but I like having peace of mind and, more importantly, with my shared documents between environments I don't want to pass on an infected file from the Mac to the Windows virtual machines. That minor risk is now averted. In summary, this software is mostly what you want from a security suite. Standardised across platforms, (mostly) installs trouble free, has a good reputation for detection and yet doesn't slow down your computers such as you would notice. If only the install on the mac could have been more helpful it would have got five stars.

Well it protects all of your computer technology items , PC/laptop , ios , android , the lot , easy to set up and easy to install and easy to use , no problems at all , works perfectly with windows 10 and my iPhone through an app from the app store , very happy because i don't need to purchase multiple anti-virus software , it just sends out an email and serial number code to each item ( pc , laptop , ios devise , android devise ) and then you just click , login and download .. but making sure you enter the serial from mcafee for each device and using it is simple as well , quick clean function will rid your computer or devise of any unwanted stuff that clogs up your devises or computers memoryand they track and keep your devise in the safe in the background so not affecting you while you are using your computer or ios/android devise , simple . very happy and trust mcaffe because its a product that we have been using for a very long time now , you can set up when you want your devise or computer scanned for virus's etc so you know when to expect this because it can slow down your computer but this is only temporary .Do i recommend ? , well i said yes before and i say yes again , great product and a great price for what you get , 9 devises in our household and will all be fully protected thanks to this mcafee total protection .

I have received this product today and am very pleased with it.However in future I would prefer a disc version as I nearly got hacked today installing it!!!!!!!!I followed the instructions on the cardboard that the activation card is attached to [...] and clicked on the link when it came up. It asked me for my name/email address and telephone number. I then entered my serial number to download the protection. I had to do this twice as it disappeared from the screen. My telephone number I had entered then rang and a caller from abroad was on the other end he knew my name and tried to tell me he was from Mcafee and that I was having a problem with downloading and would take me through it.He wasn't from Mcafee it was a con I put the phone down and looked through the instructions again. If you order this product make sure when you are on the internet you enter the link that has [...] and not just www etc. Unfortunately Mcafee have put both internet addresses on the information so you could easily get caught out like myself. When you get through to the right site they will ask you to set up an account and send you an amazon code you have to enter. Stay safe hackers are everywhere.

I have used McAfee many times in the past. Occasionally I try something different but usually end up returning because I really do trust McAfee. The McAfee Total Protection package has a lot going for it in my opinion. It has a very easy intuitive interface and proved extremely easy to install on all the different types of device found in our household. Indeed it can be installed by opening an email on your device! I love the fact that it covers all the devices owned by the family as, in todays modern family, that can be quite a few and quite a mixed bag of different devices. I think that this represents fantastic value for money for our family. The coverage,as ever with McAfee is very comprehensive and provides a bit of peace of mind once installed that at least you are protected against most threats. For childrens' devices there are interesting options such as the locking of content and find-your-device and wipe-your-device features. The inclusion of the password manager with the package is interesting but I haven't thoroughly tested this aspect yet.Overall I would highly recommend the Total Protection package - especially if you have lots of devices.

Because you can install this version on an unlimited number of different devices you can run the same security software on all PCs, laptops, smart phones, tablets etc. in your household. The software is downloaded from the internet using instructions and a license key provided, so you do not need to connect devices to a CD drive. The value for money aspect of this product depends on how many devices you install it on.I found the install process straightforward and running the software does not appear to have had any adverse effect on performance. It provides a comprehensive range of protection types, including anti-0virus, firewall, identity protection and parental controls. It is possible to schedule regular scans of the device.I have to assume it all works as I have not had any security problems since installing. It's one of those things that you only notice if it doesn't work. However, i have used McAfee security solutions for my PC for a few years and it has managed to block several viruses and attempted intrusions, so it is a brand I can trust and I would recommend.

I have installed this product upon the expiration of the licence of McAfee Internet Security. There are a few things worth mentioning about the installation process. First, once a McAfee product expires, there seems to be no way to insert another key. If you click on the Renew button you are directed on the website to buy a key, no way to figure out what to do if you already have one. If you log in to your account on the company website, then you can activate a key, which then proceeds to de-install the current version of your software and install the new one linked to the key entered. The conclusion is, do not bother trying to renew within an existing version of your software, just go to the indicated website directly and take it from there. This version of McAfee works on an unlimited number of devices across all platforms. This is great as you can run the same protection for your phone, desktop, laptop and tablet. The software will download off the internet only as there is no CD provided. It has been tested so far on the laptop and it works well

I have been using this with Windows XP, and it has kept me safe even though XP updates have stopped for two years.Other Virus products were heavy and slowed down the computer, but on the balance, McAfee has been good.It also checks if any of your 'critical' software is out of date and needs updating with security updates. They also have additional tools like file shredders, great for deleting files before selling a computer.McAfee don't do a rescue disk. However, I suggest people download Kaspersky's one and burn it to DVD. Great for an emergency just in case, in case there is a virus, which gets past. There a number of free products, but having had a virus is very important. Many years ago (due to a loophole in Java), it cost me days in lost productivity. So it is important to invest in a (i) Good Anti-Virus and (ii) Good Firewall. There are some viruses, which remain silent, keep collecting passwords and bank details and then attack.... So important to be fully protected and not to install pirated software, which may have been modified.

Always buy this product from Amazon as it costs less than half price if subscribed directly from manufacturer. However for the first time I had problems installing and decided to contact McAfee for help. After explaining issue, they assistant couldn't tell me what was needed without forwarding issue to "one of our senior engineers who will need to be given access/control to your PC to sort out the issue." I told them I was not comfortable handing over control of my PC and would prefer the engineer to talk me through the steps, so a time and date was arranged for an engineer to call me. I still had doubts about needing an engineer and I'm no expert but retraced installation steps myself - and then it clicked.Go back and try to install via IE as in previous years. Problem solved.: it turned out Antivirus wouldn't install on Google Chrome!Maybe I should take on the job for McAfee myself.

Great product rated number one for 2016 total internet protection across numerous web forum’s. Although other customer reviews warned about the the products security shortfalls when it came to protecting there mobile Tech. I have not found this to be a problem for me, in my opinion I find McAfee to be doing a brilliant job.For those looking for just that little bit extra security for there mobile tech, there is always the option to buy a seperate products to do that job. As they say if you want a excellent quality camera dont buy a phone buy a camera. The same applies to Mcfee they are offering a great blanket product covering all your home and mobile Tech with protection in all the right areas.Of course there is always going to be a few niggles as nothing is perfect, and you cant keep everyone happy but in my opinion i believe they got it spot on this time well done McAfee.

McAfee Total Protection is actually a good product. In all honesty I had moved away from McAfee due to the larger memory footprint it took up on my old PC's. However, I must admit that McAfee have done a splendid job with this version. It is a smaller footprint and this gives you access to all your devices. It is easy to install you just follow the online instructions and it downloads the latest release for you and your up and running, this is great as how many times due you install Anti-Virus software and you then update it to the latest version which then reboots your PC and then installs further patches. I know software will always have patch sets. But, I hate the time take to install newer versions. So, this makes life simple. You use your registration key to install on all your devices for 1 years protection.Great protection from McAfee and far better than I perceived.

We have always used McAfee since buying our very first computer. It has never failed us. There is also a McAfee online support service included with this too. In the past we have bought the McAfee 3 user CD but this year it includes ALL of your computers/laptops/mobiles & IOS systems. Once again we cannot fault McAfee. There is no Cd but a code which is required each time. It does mean (after the initial one) that you need to download the set-up on each device from a link sent to you from McAfee. It did take me a little while to get my head around this. It does only take a few minutes to install each time.In the past we have had to pay for another licence when trying to install on four items but this year it covers everything and at no extra cost.

I have used McAfee for many years and always go back to it. This is excellent as I have it on my tablet, phone and desktop all from this one purchase. I have noticed other people saying that it only protects photos on tablets - this is not the case. When I use an outside wireless network it warns me and several times it has warned me of unsafe web sites - something my far more expensive previous tablet protection did not do. I can also set up a "find" and "disable" on both my phone and tablet should I lose them whilst I am out. All in all, I am impressed with this and it has, so far, shown no signs of slowing my tablet - again, unlike the previous version I was using - which has now been removed and discarded.
