As ever a great product although it is only when you get a problem you really know how good it is. Bought every from amazon and every year mcaefee tries to renew if for three times the amount of money that it is on here. Why reward loyalty by offering the product elsewhere for less than you offer to your valued clients? Or are they not actually valued?Two minor issues1) when going into 'my account', there was no place to put the code in. The only option was to buy it at an extortionate price, when I had already bought it. To get it installed, you have to activate it outside of your account, as per the guidance notes in the purchase and then install it. They should allow you to simply put the new code into your account section2)

If you buy this software do NOT go to the web address that's marked on the cardboard folder but search for the genuine Mcafee website on google to activate it.I followed the instructions and it took me to a bogus website asking for my name,email address and telephone number.I typed in the product code number and then pressed submit but every time I did it it it kept coming up it was not able to activate my software online and someone would phone me up.When they did phone me they wanted to take control of my PC which I refused to do.I managed to find the genuine Mcafee website which did not want your name or telephone number and I was able to install the software quite quickly.

Having used other Antivirus security over the years, I thought I might try McAfee Total Protection this time.I purchased the "Arrive by Mail" version and the following day received a greeting card size booklet whichcontained the product key and instructions for installation.I uninstalled my old antivirus from my PC via the Uninstall page on my Control Panel and then once clear,I scratched off the the protective coating on my McAfee booklet found the new product key, typed it intomcafee.com/activate and waited a few minutes for McAfee to download my subscription details. I theninstalled the file and am now up and running.I have as yet only installed it on my PC which runs on Windows 10 and can add protection for up to 4 moredevices should I wish.I have found the product easy to set up,

I have used this from day one on my PC and find it by far and away the best. I have a lap top as well as a desk top and for various reasons I had different virus protection on each. The other branded one I had on the laptop almost brought it to a full stop and as for trying to use while it was running a scan in the background - no chance. It simply would not do it. So when I got this, I deleted the other virus protection from the laptop and installed this. It runs easily in the background while I am still working, it has let me do endless other multi tasks while running scans, including downloading. It is also far more efficient when it scans the PC. Will I go back to the other one? No.

Easy to install and upgrade from previous productBought new subscription to Total Protection for £12.99, substantially below the renewal price of £59 for the old LifeSafe - Internet Security. As many other reviewers have commented, it is cheaper to buy a new product than to renew.Installation was very easy, both in a Windows 10 laptop and a Mac running OS Sierra - the installation package detected the old version of the software, removed it, installed the new one, and updated virus definitions etc. During installation, auto renewal is enabled, but then log on the McAfee site and change auto renewal preferences to avoid the sting mentioned above.I have been using McAfee for over a year on Windows,

I am no computer genius! When I get an anti virus software for my laptop I look for an easy to install, simple to navigate and set up, and something that doesn't slow my laptop down.The is software was simple to set up and explained some of the key points on set up such as the payment protection it offers. By giving these explanations it meant it was easy to use and I used more functions then I would ordinarily bother with.I noticed little to no difference in processing speed on my laptop and don't even notice even notice the scans when their happening.The software has found 1 malware virus which it coped with easily and I felt confident in the protection the system provided.

Just one minor crib, I have been using Mcafee for many years, usually when I renew via a code the start date starts from the end of my last licence finish date. This one seems to register fro the date you put the code in. basically if you get this product do not enter the code until your existing one is about to expire. The price is excellent and one heck of a lot cheaper than he renewal notice from Mcaffe though supposedly it is shipped by them anyway so seems sort of pointless of offering you a renewal at a higher price than is available elsewhere.Very fast delivery, code worked immediately even though I entered it via my smart phone not my PC.

Bought this as a second year to add on to my subscription. I know that Windows 10 has pretty good built in security, but sometimes my mum can be pretty liberal when it comes to clicking links on emails, so £15 a year is worth it in my opinion to add an extra layer of protection and not cause her to send the PO into meltdown. Also, it's been good at not poking it's face into every link I click and generally keeping in the background, with no noticeable hogging of system resource.

Very easy to install and a very reasonable price. From mcafee direct it costs around 3X more!This product has built in computer 'cleaner' to remove temporary and unused files etc It also has a scanner which you can check for updates for other programs on your computer.I never know when updates and scans are taking place but a little pop up appears when they are complete so I know they've happened.I've used Mcafee for a number of years and I have never had any issues.

Works well and fairly easy to install existing McAfee customers have to log into their account and click redeem cards to enter the product code then it sends a link to your email which you open to get the serial number before it can be downloaded. A bit confusing at first but once that is done the other downloads are easy to other appliances. It was much less costly buying from Amazon than the renewal option from McAfee.

This is a genuine product but the instructions about how to install it are wrong. The packaging tells you to go to mcafee.com/activate but this web address does not exist. Having looked into it, it seems that mcafee change their activation address quite often, so you will need to do a google search for it.I found the UK Total Protection activation site here:[...]Why make things easy when you can make them difficult.

I have been using McAfee for years now but refuse to renew it each year for £80 odd pounds when I can buy it for £19. It does take longer to install on five devices than just renewing it but well worth the savings.I have never had a security breach between using Microsoft and McAfee since I first started using it and it is very easy to use. We use the internet all the time at home so I feel secure using McAfee.

I have used McAfee since I first used a computer. Never do auto renewal, too pensive compared to Amazon purchase option. They are a good security product. I had a problem this time when downloading, my real time scanning wouldn't stay on, but contacted McAfee and they solved the problem straight away for me. Downloading to my other devices, via email link, was straightforward. Recommended.

Fast dispatch and installation was quite straightforward and without problems. The software has been in use for several weeks and so far, no viruses have invaded my computer (as far as I am aware). I have only recently installed this product on my computer, therefore I cannot comment on its long-term reliability. For a review of its long-term reliability ask me again in a year's time.
