Purchased this as a Christmas present for my son and an additional one for the nephew (to avoid any fighting). They have worked a treat. The only warning I can give is if you purchase 2, don't use both at once as the remote will control both cars and though I tried to avoid the fighting. I inadvertently caused it. The amount of confusion this caused 2 kids was immeasurable.That said, despite this little problem, both cars worked a treat. The controls aren't standard as you'd get on a radio controlled car (1 stick for going back and forth and the other for left and right manoeuvres). Though there are still 2 sticks, one controls the 2 left wheels and the other controls the 2 right wheels.

A brilliant RC car.Big chunky tyres, good strong body & pretty nippy.Supplied with a rechargeable battery pack & charger for the car, also a 9v battery for the handset.Decent battery life... Kids will probably get distracted first, fast charge too.The remote has a soft flexible arial so should stand up to children.The controls are like tank levers.... Each lever controls a side of the car, both need to be forward to go straight, one forward & one back means it's spins on the spot.... Easy to get the hang of.Nice and powerful, easily copes with long grass in the garden, terrifying on carpet, slips on tiles & Lino.One of the best RC cars we've boughtOnly down sides are....

I was tasked with finding a "real" remote control car by my 6-year old for Christmas and this item fit the bill. Almost 5 months on and it is being regularly used and is still in perfect working order despite getting itself jammed under items in the local playground on a few occasions at high speed (the steering has taken a little getting used to for a novice, though my daughter coped with it fine :-).The rechargeable battery is simple enough for its owner to remove and place in the recharger herself and has given plenty of life for every trip out to date (often being used over multiple surfaces for 30 minutes or more).For the £25 paid, couldn't be happier with it.

These are great I bought one for my son and another for my husband :D the two of them are outside building ramps and racing each other. The cars are very durable and rugged. They get scratched on the plastic but I think that adds to the character and they have started comparing scratches.If you buy two be aware that they need to be different frequencies it does tell you on the front of the box so you don't have to open them up and look at the car like I did! The two frequencies are 27 and 40. I was lucky when I ordered that I got the two different ones as hadnt realised before ordering.

Bought for my son but I use it regularly. Controller operates left and right wheels independently so turns on the spot and gives a great amount of control but does mean getting it going in a straight line takes a bit of practice. Most powerful battery rc car I've tried and will go through anything. Much better than the toy it looks like. Battery easily lasts a trip to the park and thrashing it at full tilt. Body has taken some big crashes but hardly a mark on it. Easily the best rc car for the money.

A Great gift even for 4-5 years old boy.The batteries will last quite a long time.Car is quite well structured,very strong.Beware to use at home as this might damage your furniture (this is a fast beast).Has a short range.When will leave further than about 6 meters- interrupts and you have to approach it .I tested it only 1 time outside but I suspect it is working perfectly.In general I am very satisfied with my purchase.My nephew is happy and that's it!

This is an awesome toy, a great RC starter car. One of the highlights is the way is can spin around as seen in my video.I bought this so I could strap my camera to the top and drive around. A GoPro with the adhesive mount will perfectly sit on top capturing unique footage. It might be tailored for kids, but as a grown adult this is lots of fun.The only downside which I accept is normal is the battery life, but you can get spares.

Got this on a 1day deal for under £30 and for that it's a steal! It's ridiculously fast and powerful and my 5yr old can control it easily. Not tried on water yet but it seems well built and the battery housing has a rubber seal. It's a little fiddly to remove the battery to recharge but after a couple of times its not really a problem. Charges in about an hour and lasts quite a while. Great fun for kids and adults alike.

This is an extremely powerful and fast car. Be prepared for your skirtings to get a few dents and paint chips should the car crash into skirtings. Can be a little painful if it hits your leg too. Suppose to work on water, instructions do say to use on still water (not one that has waves or is moving water). Would be nice if they gave you li ion battery instead of NH MH (70mins to charge) Still a good product though.

I bought it for my 4-year daughter but apparently I was having much more fun than her so she forbid me to use it until a later date still to be determined. It was clearly too difficult to operate for her (my mistake, she is was too young) but I hope that in a year of two we can play with it together again! This car is very fast and and nicely maneuverable once you learn a bit how to do it.

Bought this for my boy on his third birthday. He loves it and often plays with it by pushing it around (even though I tell him not to). The only issue is that the battery doesn't seem to hold it's charge as well as it used to. Also, the light on the charger constantly blinks while charging whereas previously it was solid until it had fully charged the battery.

Bought as Christmas presents, I purchased 3 in total. They took a while to unpack and charge the battery etc. but once they got going these are rapid and good fun. Easy to control. So far they have been working well and not yet destroyed! Kids seem to love them. Will update in a few months once they have had a proper test!

My son absolutely loves taking it on country walks with us. Easily drives over the churned up mud and through deep puddles. Copes with falling in lakes and rolling down hilsides. Just one tip: It's worth getting a higher capacity battery as the one that comes with it doesn't quite last an hour of full on abuse.

One very happy 6 year old grandson - a birthday present from me as he wanted a grown up radio controlled car. This fits the bill perfectly as it's tough enough to keep him happy and just the right size with enough power for him to control.He's so happy with it he walks to school every day with it.

Great car except the controls are really hard to get used to. My boy finds it almost impossible to make the car drive. The 2 sticks control each set of wheels so for straight line both have to be pushed forward. Also it's full throttle or nothing which again makes it very difficult to get used to.
