Nerf Stampede.... where to start?First of all, this is a great toy for little kids, big kids and adults alike. it shoots about 3 darts per sec. Comes with 60 darts, 3x18 dart clips and 1x6 dart clip.It also has a bi-pod/foregrip and a shield (the shield is pretty fun but its nigh-impossible to aim while using it).It requires 6xD batteries which does make the back of the gun a bit heavy. but nowhere near as heavy as the vulcan.Pros/Cons:Pros:Fully automatic4 clips and lots of darts in the box + goodies (shield/grip)Good weight (can be fired with one hand but isnt so light that its not much fun using)Darts fire about 10m/30ft.theres alot of rails for sights/lasers/torchesits just a really goodgunCons:Cannot be fired without batteries (no manual single shot action like in the vulcan (but the vulcan did jam a hell of a lot)jam clearing door does tend to pop open sometimes. the locking action is a bit weak (easier for small kids annoying for big ones)loading an 18 dart clip from scratch is a tad annoying after a whileThe grip does not lock that well!!! if you pick the gun up by the foregrip the grip will slide off the gun and the gun will fall. This ISNT a bother when your shooting since it only slides one way... but realisticly the grip is there not only to hold but to pick up aswell.Overall:A bit educational since you can see how the gun works (but what kid will bother to understand it)Its not full metal... it will break if you drop it from a height but it is NERF... NERF products have been known to last a hell of a long time. Its alot of fun. shooting at siblings or other people makes this gun alot of fun.(or playing Humans vs Zombies on uni campus). My advice is if you can afford it and you are into these; it is VERY good value for money.

I got this as a christmas present and was thrilled to open the package. It is quite possibly the most heavy armoured gun out there on the nerf market which, in some cases isnt at all a good thing. First off its really REALLY heavy so don't drop it on little 3 year old jimmies toes. Second of all its very long and isnt exactly a nimble machine gun. And third groan is that its super loud when firing so if you miss your target they will know exactly where you are...Ok moan over, apart from all that the gun is FAB! it comes with enough ammo to last a lifetime ( 60 darts to be exact) and some massive 18 dart clips so i can shoot for a while before i have to reload. The guard is great and can be used alot when in line of fire, however strapping it on does mean that the built in scope is blocked and rendered pointless but its got rubbish accuracy so who cares!? the stand is also good, but when i dont need it i leave it behind ( i don't need added weight thank you ).Another thing is that it takes the massive D batteries so it costs alot to run but lasts for longer than my other guns.I am a big nerf gun fan and am now building quite an armoury, i would recommend this to any nerf fan ( providing they can lift 2.5kg )Thanks amazon

Yes, I'm the mum, I can be a bit house proud, but even I love this. Two boys, 12 & 7, one Mum, one Dad. Only problem is, we don't all have rapid fire, just the 12 year old, who whinged and moaned and worked on us til he got this for his birthday to add to his ever growing collection of Nerf guns. So we have to take turns with the Big Gun. So far batteries lasting well, not too heavy, tho wee kids might struggle to carry it around, and no jamming. You need to have your clips all ready and loaded though, and when you run out, the rest of the family, who don't have automatic weapons are likely to gang up on you! The various attachments fit other Nerf guns. It has no educational value whatsoever, but who cares. It's been dropped a few times, on the carpet, but no damage - more durable than I expected. Only one slight concern, nerf guns with system (velcro) darts come with safety specs - I think they all should, as we have all had some sore ones in the eye. Not for softies!

This is what my youngest son said(11)"I think this gun is great!. firstly when you open the box at the first look it will bring excitment over your face as you see how big it is. i think the range is excellen and goes further than my 25m garden. it shoots about 3 bullets per second and has a great sight.the blast sheild is awesome as it protects your face when playing with your freinds!!!! The bi-pod is great but the only fault is that when use the 18 clip magazine you can only tilt it up at about a 25 degree angle so the mag gets in the way but overall the bi pod is 4 out of 5. the stock is heavy because thats where th 6 d batteries are. when aiming down the sight the stock gets in the way a bit so you have to put your face aganst stock.i think sight should be higher. overall i think you should get this gun but not for main price.(get it around £40 instead of £60) best gun out of the ten i've got.

This gun is AMAZING! I find it so fun, I've played it every days since I got it!! Dispite it being plasic it has very strong design. It has 6 tactical rails where you can put laszer sights, bio-pods, shields, pistols and ather nerf attachments. (it only comes with a grip/bio-pod and blast shield.) I love the mags as they hold 18 bullets and are really easy to reload (you just to press a button!) This gun has encoureged me to play out side alot more and even get me off the Xbox! It can fire up to 40 feet(12.19m)! all thought the average is about 30 (9.144m)!!! One last this, this gun vertuly NEVER gets jamed, and on the rare acasion that it dose, you can unjam it in under 5 secs!!!!!!!!This gun is the best nerf gun so far. If you have the money I would advise for you to buy this gun, over all the other nerf guns!:D:D:D:D

I must admit that i hesitated at first between the Vulcan and the Stampede and i must say i don't regret my choice beacuse the Stampede is really awesome, the fact that you can use it in semi-auto and full-auto is really great and it comes with 60 darts that's really awesome,i barely can find any cons to this toy, well apart from the fact that the firing mecanism is a bit noisy nothing really bad,and maybe it would be a bit heavy for smaller children because of the 6 D batteries but for me no problem,it's just a shame that i don't know anyone of my age(22) who plays nerf hereas always Amazon provided an excellent service i order it saturday and got it this tuesday, great job amazon.,can't waitto put the 35-dart magazine from my 2 raiders that are coming tomorrow,

As a surprise Xmas present for my 8 yr old boy this could not have been more perfect. Despite the constant retrieving and reloading of the clips this gun is perfect. Robust, adjustable, powerful without taking someones eye out and just simply the best thing in the world for gunning down unruly Action Men.Yes its a gun and for a certain quarter that may be a questionable 'toy' to give a child but there is no escaping the fun factor. Once the batteries are installed the Stampede does reach something like the weight of a real gun but its still easily portable, I think you can buy a shoulder strap for it should you want to.Luckily we picked the Stampede up for £36 from Play.com before the pricestarted to rise suspiciously just before stampede at Xmas.

I bought two of these from [...] when they were at [...]. just before xmas that went up to [...] so i got a bargain well two!My son (9YRS) loves this gun as do his friends it is a little on the heavy side with 6 D batteries but what fun, until you have to pick up all the darts that is! they are like the xmas tree pine needles, you keep finding them everywhere. My son has put in a 37 round drum magazine from a nerf raider so with that plus the tHree 18 round magazines has plenty of ammo for a nerf war around the house.I would say this is a very good toy,put a shoulder strap on it from a holdall and drum mag and your away.sell the shield and bipod on [...] to reduce the cost. This is easily the best nerf gun yet.

My brother got the nerf stampede and gave it this review:"This gun is amazing! It will fire up to 40ft, has extreme power and a brilliant recoil. But don't use the nerf stampede if you've got a sore shoulder, because it will blow your shoulder off!"My brother really liked this product and spends every moment of his time shooting me with it... The 'bullets' are great because they are made of foam, so they are very safe. The nerf stampede is great for having shooting wars in your living room. I also find nerf guns quite entertaining; especially when you get revenge on your little brother!!!If you are looking for a great boys toy, this is the best!

when i first got it i thought wow its really light for a toy that has 6 d batteries. when i put in that batteries it weighed just over 4.5 kg, the first nerf war i had with it was great, the performance of the gun is about 1 dart a second, the only down side of that is if you are using the 18 clip and your trying out the sniper mode with the bypod you cant rest it down properly as the clips to big but thats the only flor, its has a big mass as i said but when you have a strap on and its on your back its fine for anything, you can use it like a machine gun but all in all its a great product and i highly recommend it to any nerf fan.

Wow! This is the kind of toy that I wish I'd grown up with; it is so much fun! We'd ordered one for each of the boys (from Amazon), and, unknown to me, my partner had also bought one for me as well (from a far more expensive Argos), so Christmas was tremendous fun with non-stop Nerf-wars throughout the break. They're big, sturdy, powerful, accurate, with loads of add-ons, and more fun than you could ever dream of having. Irrespective of your age, you should buy one; I've had more fun playing with this than I ever have done with any other toy, gadget or activity... I'd have happily paid twice as much for something that's this good!

My 12 year old son was desperate for this Nerf gun and due to the cost, had to save up for it himself as I was not prepared to spend so much money on it. My son is over the moon with it. It does everything he expected it to and he believes it was money well spent. (Even Daddy was quite impressed!) He is now saving up for another. Personally, I still think it is over priced but he loves it so whom am I to argue. We shopped around and this was the cheapest we found at the time. Delivery was excellent - well packaged. The huge box which at least made him feel like he had paid for something expensive!

Ah the Stampede, the gun with such reliable shots for an electric... As a kid, and a current 17 year old, I love this gun just because of the size and the fact that it feels so nice to hold with the fore grip there. I have one linked to a car battery (kids, don't try this at home), and it seems to me that the fire rate lowers as the batteries wear, but the power stays the same (cogwheel system? I never looked inside of it). Want my advice? Get this for someone who dislikes the power of the elite line, and show them the proper classics.

A fabulous way to keep boys entertained - young and old! Easy to set up and a blast (!) to use. The 18 clip magazine is better than the 6 for obvious reasons - it lasts longer! My only concern is the tripod seems a little less sturdy than the rest of the toy - it works but the Stampede leans to one side, making it a bit unstable on slightly uneven surfaces. My kids think it the best of the Nerf range they have tried...and I must admit to having a blast on it when they are not looking! Recommended!
