I bought this controller and the Hori Onyx at the same time to compare. This blows the Hori Onyx out of the water. I did not want some super expensive pro style controller with extra buttons and features. I simply wanted a PS4 controller with Xbox style joystick placement. I prefer xbox controllers for FPS games and honestly for most games in general. This controller fits comfortably in my hand when playing FPS games like COD and other Non - FPS games as well. Most recently I'm using it to play Final Fantasy 7 Remake (a non first person shooter). The triggers buttons (L2 and R2) are slightly different from the dual shock 4 but nothing that you will not get used to in a couple of sessions and it does not hinder performance in the least.I read reviews saying the headset connection had problems but when I use this with my headsets (I have more than one) they perform just fine. The controller is missing **ONE** feature that comes on the dual shock 4 and that is the motion sensor light bar. I found this to be a complete non-issue with the games I play as none use this feature. In general only a small handful of PS4 games (something like only 5%) even use this feature and it's mostly for gimmicks. The overwhelming majority of the most popular titles do not use it at all. Not having this feature gave me slight pause for concern until I realized even the majority of expensive $200 pro gaming controllers don't come with it. And if it's any consolation the controller does come with a small battery indicator "light" on the top side so there's that lol.As I mentioned above I bought this and the Hori Onyx at the same time to compare. The Hori Onyx was completely uncomfortable to play with. The sizing of the controller is a bit smaller than it needs to be on the handles, and as a result it throws off your gameplay significantly. Also the trigger buttons (L2 and R2) on the Hori Onyx are spongy and feel strange to press. I only mention this to give a true review and comparison to the Nacon Asymmetric controller and let people know not all 3rd party controllers with this layout are acceptable. Some just miss the mark in terms of comfort and gameplay, however the Nacon does not.In summary if you are looking for a comfortable wireless PS4 controller with the X-Box style joystick layout I think you will be highly satisficed. It's the best bang for the buck I've seen thus far.General Comfort: 10/10Button Quality: 10/10Trigger Buttons: 9/10Battery Life: 10/10 (Personally haven't had any issues. I'd estimate it's equal to the dualshock 4's 8 hour life). I tend to play 6 hours at a time.Joystick Comfort: 9/10 (I wish they had slightly more resistance but it's honestly fine)Headset Jack: YesAudio Quality: 9/10Wireless: YesWireless Connectivity and Response: 10/10

I did take it as replacement for my 7 year old Sony Controller. I like the asymmetric controllers a lot (had a xbox long time ago) and so I thought I give it a try. For me - and I can just speak for myself - it's the best controller I had so far. It's perfect in my hands, every button can be reached easily and the control is more precise than before. That also means you need a bit time to get used to it. I especially had this experience with Moto GP but in the meantime I'm able to say it's better and lots more fun to play than it ever was. Plus - I'm able to play a lot longer without my left thumb beginning to hurt. I had this also in racing games before very often. But now - no problem at all.So for me it is the perfect controller and hopefully everyone reading and buying the Nacon makes the same experience, which I - of course - can't guarantee. Have fun and happy and successful gaming to you all :)

This controller is just amazing, I’ve had it for almost 1 year and it’s still going strong. The battery life is insanely good, for a product that I’ve had for quite some time you’d expect the battery life to degrade, but not in this case. The battery life is just as good as when I bought it, and I could probably get 10+ Hours a day on a single charge. The analog stick placement does take some time to get used to if you’re coming from a standard PS4 controller, but after that it’s perfect.Pros-Easy to learn.Great battery life.Very durable.Asymmetrical design is nice.Cons-Charging cable is too short (but you can just buy another)Analog stick are way too small.(Putting thumb grips on them made it so much better)No motion sensor.

Does what it says on the tin.You may need to update your settings in game.I did because I was using the nacon rev pro.Going from a normal dual shock should be fine.I got this for fighting games soulcalibur mainly and it easily translates to shooting games, apex Cod, the likes.Even works well with smite.Asymmetrical is the way forward imo. It's sturdy and has been dropped many times with no issues.Only gripe I have is it doesn't turn the ps on when you hit the ps button on the controller. The Bluetooth stick has a great range and the fact it has a headset port is a game changer! The rev pro was wired and with the wired headsets feedback would ensue. That's gone now!

I brought this controller back in July after my revolution pro broke (beyond repair might I add) as i am quite a rager at games. It has served me well these past months and I'm very happy i brought it.It's comfy to hold and the asymmetric design is awesome. Its durable (its been dropped and hurled across the room many many times and has worked perfectly after) and the connection and charge holding is good. My only complaint about the controller is that the sensitivity across different games can be difficult to adjust to, especially on shooters but other than that im extremely happy with the controller.

It works very well no particular complaints.Don't really miss the features it lacks.A few minor complaints.1. Analog sticks are little small, so I am using some thumb grips to increase the size.2. The L1 R1 are a little thin. Your hands naturally rest on L2 R2 so it's slightly awkward, but you do get used to it.3. When you turn the Playstation on using the home button, my Playstation takes a little while to switch on. By the time it has switched on my controller has switched off and has to be reconnected. Once it's reconnected band your using the Playstation there are no further problems.

Performs perfectly. I have big hands and have never got used to the way the Sony controller sticks are so close together. Has the PS4 touchpad and share/option buttons that work exactly as you'd expect. Battery life great too.Couple of niggles: The wireless dongle is massive which is a shame, although it is hinged so you can flip it up vertically so it doesn't stick out about 10cm. The shape and position of the triggers & shoulder buttons are a little weird and take a bit of getting used to.

3.5.2019

A very robust controller. Its substantially heavier than the DS4 controller. Very chunky buttons and very responsive. The share/buttons are not flush with the shell which means they're easier to press unlike the DS4. There's a button on back to check battery power. The shoulder have a bit more action than DS4, and feel springy. Comes with a usb dongle so it wirelessy connects with your ps4. Bad things are analog sticks are plastic and offer no grip, I use xb1 grip covers. Battery is around 8-10.

Controller works best for FPS. Left stick is a lot more comfortable for movement and ADS. Sticks really glide, no resistance in them, which I personally prefer. Triggers need bedding in, really stiff, got finger ache at first. The LED is incredibly bright in low light. Put features as low because there’s nothing much special about it. Would have been nice to have back buttons. All round it’s a good alternative controller. Found it a bit fiddly to use with sports games and RPGs.

A PS4 controller that has the Xbox button arrangement, and is comfortable to play on. Until recently, the only other alternatives were eSports priced controllers. So glad Nacon decided to do a standard edition. As someone with a history of issues with my left wrist, the normal PS4 layout just wasn't cutting it, and Xbox controller converters right now are having issues staying connected to the PS4 system. Comfortable, adequately priced and great to play on. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for an Xbox like controller with asymmetrical sticks then this is the controller you want. Many PS4 asymmetrical controllers come with a load of a features (that you probably wont use) and charge you a load for the privilege, although there are a few cheap versions but the quality is poor. This Nacon controller is basic compared to the other Nacon offerings but the build quality is still high. I would highly recommend this controller.

Looks great and feels greatDoesn't include the motion sensor so you wont be able to play ps vr games with it but if you dont play vr games i recommend this epic controller, the L2 and R2 and good for driving games like gta v and the joysticks a pretty accurate when playing shooter games.Comes with a usb dongle so you can play wirless on da ps4 or on da pcAlso i like the clicky R1 and L1 they like da mouse left click and right click i find it satisfying

I owned an Xbox 360, but when I bought my PS4 I missed the Xbox gamepad layout. My PS4 controller eventually gave up the ghost and I was so glad that this one was around and at similar price than the PS4 controller.Build quality is superb, bit bulkier than PS4 controller, but I actually prefer it. It doesn't have lightbar and motion controls, but very few games use this features, so not really an issue.Could not recommend it more!

I was looking for a controller which was similar to the Xbox one and this one ticked all the boxes. It is a little larger than the regular ps4 controller but that suits me fine as I prefer the larger form factor. it is very solid, even tot the point where I wouldn't be bothered if it dropped on a hard surface. The only con I have is that it does not connect natively to the ps4, so it takes up a usb slot on my ps4.

16.6.2020

I wanted to try an asymmetric controller for playing with my PS4 because I found the original controller difficult to hold for long periods of time. I bought this one because it had good review but didn't expect great things, but was very pleasantly surprised. While it's not mad me a better game player, it has allowed me to play without causing pain to my hands.I would recommend to any.
