Until 2015, Mumm was the champagne of choice to be sprayed from the podium by drivers in Formula One racing. I have always thought that this is a waste of good champagne but, if you consider the huge amounts of fuel that is used not only in the cars, but also to transport the F1 circus around the world then a few bottles of wasted champagne is fairly insignificant. You would have thought, however, that if Lewis Hamilton, or whoever it is who has the best car and thus goes round the circular track fastest, is going to spray sparkling wine at his team mates rather than actually drink it, Bernie Ecclestone would have chosen something cheap such as a supermarket own label variety. Mumm champagne has to be my favourite champagne and finding it on Amazon at a very cheap price was amazing.I was initially hesitant about buying this as I wasn’t sure if it was too good to be true. It’s exaclty the same as another bottle I bought in a supermarket (we taste tested two bottles on Christmas Day) and there’s no difference between them except the price when this is on a deal it’s worth stocking up on it!

When one needs to celebrate or get rowdy, one necks a skinful of this. On occasion one then proceeds to the local Turkish takeaway restaurant with almost no hand/eye coordination and orders the exotic delights that await within. Kebab in hand, one strolls home and shouts things like “one doesn’t respect thou” and “one is thoroughly misunderstood by ones peers” at the TV. All in all, great for a drink up...

Mumms is a very nice champagne for the price point. Considering competition from people like Moet, LP, etc, I find Mumms to be a higher quality champagne than the rest. It is extremely effervescent - probably the most effervescent champagne I've had - which can detract from it a bit, but in terms of the flavour, it definitely triumphs over some of the 'big name' NV £30/bottle competitors.

I only buy about 3 bottles of champagne a year- all over the festive period. But I like to buy something decent for Christmas day and for seeing in the new year. This year i was short on time so did a lot of shopping online. This was excellent, nice and crisp. Lots of little bubbles and not too sweet. Nice and biscuity like a gruet. I'll buy again -would've been £36 in waitrose

I shouldn’t tell you this because I may find this champagne out of stock after this review! Mumm has Royal warrants and it shows. Deliciously crisp and dry without that cheap own brand champagne Taste found in most supermarkets! Mumm is superior to most champagne and normally redials for more than £30. So when I found this for xxx at Amazon I grabbed two bottles. Yummy!

Mumm has to be one of the best quality, value champagnes on the market. I prefer this to Moet...which I think is frankly highly overrated. Mumm is not as good as Bolly or Verve Cl, but then it is a lot cheaper, so to be expected. If you can get this stuff for £20 a bottle (I did) then it is an absolute bargain. Highly recommended.

Regular favourite of ours for a mass market champers, slightly sweeter on the palate although definitely brut. Once you have a product to aim for, it is a simple commodity purchase as the offers are presented. This was cracking value with the discount offered.

This is competitive with other mainstream brands (such as Moet) but sometimes hit's £20 a bottle when it's on offer - which is a great price. At full price, I would say other brands have an edge - so overall I give it 4/5, but 5/5 if you get it for £20!

Brought for Christmas Dinner unfortunately I dont remember what it was like as we was all well and truly sloshed before the bottle got opened as the hangover next day was to testify to that... Nice box if you into the bottle o fizzy plonk in a gift box

Gave this as a gift, very nice packaging. The actual bottle however looks a little cheap so it is good that it comes with a box. Very good entry level bottle of champagne to offer as a gift.

Enjoyed more than most champagnes by all the people I have given this to. Have ordered more than once and had it ourselves at Christmas, very enjoyable.

I love G.H Mumm, my favourite brand of champagne! Inexpensive, tastes lovely when chilled. Packaged well, no damage to report.

Its my favourite champagne in the middle price bracket... so when its on special for 20 pound.. you cant beat it.

Bought his for Xmas because it's my son's favourite and it was on offer at a good price. We all enjoyed it.
