I am not a big champagne fan, finding most of what I have tasted in the past to be highly overrated and wondering what all the fuss is about in having champagne. However my two grown-up kids treated me to a bottle of this Bollinger for my 70th birthday recently and I have to say that it is exceptionally good. I don't know, never having tasted any, whether true vintage champagnes taste anything like this or better, but if they do then I take back everything I've thought about champagne. This is truly a fine celebratory drink and worth every pound of its price just to enjoy its delicate but special flavour. For me this champagne is streets ahead of others in its price range.

Very nice champagne for a "non vintage" . and a decent discounted price. If you are looking at trying champagne for the first time and are seriously considering buying more expensive bottles, buy this as a starting point, before moving on to vintage labelled years. If you buy a cheap champagne and compare it to this special cuvee and can't tell the difference, then think again about more expensive years. If you liked the cheaper one or think it justs tastes the same then stick with the cheaper stuff...basically go where your taste buds takes you

I am not a wine or champagne drinker by any stretch of the imagination, if anything i avoid them like the proverbial.I bought a bottle of Bollinger as a gift for Christmas and tried it....OH MY GOD!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?????An amazing taste that wasn't overpowering and has a clean crisp taste...definitely buying some for myself ;)

There is no better Champagne than Bollinger,and at this price is a steal.Supermarkets sell it for £45,this cost £20 so a great bargain.I usually buy it for a special occasion and this was bought for Christmas dinner,the only downside is once tasted you will not want to go back to cheaper versions so be warned.Mr Bond has excellent taste

60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, 15% Meunier Buttery brioche notes from the Chardonnay and citrus acidity from the Pinot noir rounded by the Pinot meunier, a delicious, robust quaffable champagne, great on it's own or with a little fishy hors d'oeuvres, serve lightly chilled but not too cold or you won't taste the complexity.

Of all the "normal" Champagnes (i.e. not Dom Pérignon, Krug etc.), the Bollinger Special Cuvée is consistently reliable. It is always rich and complex and never disappoints. I'd hesitate to describe a £40 bottle of wine as being good value but in the context of good Champagne, I think it is.

You can't go too far wrong - there is a reason Bollinger are typically able to charge a premium on their rivals - it is just a slight cut above. It's probably my favorite champagne under £50. The bottle also has a more elegant design than a standard bottle, which adds to the appeal.

Ordered for 60th birthday, arrived when stated on delivery info., very well packaged, bottle was in a nice box which looked good, was thoroughly enjoyed by recipient and friends, would recommend purchase for any special occasion and would order from here again.

Great service arrived well packaged, however if your buying for a gift be aware does not come in the presentation box, doesn't look quite as good on the shelf in brown corrugated cardboard. this however was a small sacrifice for the very keen price sold at.

Well I have to say it tastes good this stuff. Lovely fresh sweet and crisp with a hint of brown sugar, definitely a step up from the excellent Moet and Chandon. Is it worth the extra money? - maybe for very special occasions or if you're seriously loaded!

Bought a bottle to celebrate a year at a new abode and must say the champagne lived up to expectation with a refreshing flavour and fruitiness backed up by creamy bubbles. Best bought for home consumption as you will pay twice the price in a restaurant.

Very well packaged! Arrived on time in massive box for daughter's 21st at Uni. Lots of paper with smaller box inside, more paper and then finally the bottle. Added to the intrigue! She was really thrilled and enjoyed drinking it too!

Love this champagne, me and the other half have this every anniversary now - not too dry, just a little sweet, goes great with a cheese board if you're that way inclined, otherwise serve chilled and get it down 'yer neck!

This beautiful champagne was on offer for one day at just £20.61 which is an amazing price.Had to buy 5! This champers is gorgeous and rivals some at double the retail price. Knocks the socks off of Moet for a start.

Ordered this as a gift for a friend after the arrival of their new baby as his wife likes Bollinger bubbly. Have tried it myself as well but in smaller size. Easy to drink and plenty of bubbles, what's not to like.
