I bought this card to replace my ageing, and very noisy, XFX HD4870. I've had the card for about a week now, and I can't praise it highly enough. When I turn on my PC now, I have to actually check that he power light is on, as the noise has dropped to imperceptible levels since installing this card. Not only is it quiet when idling, I've also pushed it as hard as I could using FurMark, and I'm pleased to report that the fan noise increased just enough to make it audible, but not nearly so much that it would ever distract from anything but the quietest moment. You'd think that a quiet card must be running hot; everyone knows you don't get something for nothing... Well with this card, it seems you do!In the FurMark test, I saw the core temperature climb as expected, but it levelled off at around 65 degrees, which is nowhere near anything I'd worry about. When you consider that FurMark is designed to push GPUs to their absolute limits, then you'll understand how impressive this performance is.I haven't played any really graphics intensive games on it yet, but my performance in Civ 5 has improved immeasurably, and that's with my options turned up from medium to max!All in all, I can't say anything other than this is one of the most impressive PC components I've ever bought in 10+ years of building my own systems. Anyone who buys this card has bought a winner!

As someone that has had very little experience with upgrading computers, I'm over the moon with this buy. Previously all I've done is add a capture card and added a bit of RAM into a laptop.Easy installation, uninstall old drivers, plop in new card, install & you're done. The process took 25 mins tops.As for the card it drawfs my old GeForce GT 440. With its dual cooling fans it runs around 30C on mid-idle working & around 40C so far after 2 hours of Skyrim, which it will play without breaking a sweat. It promises 27db under full load, and delivers, very quiet, I can't tell the difference between this and the tiny single fan of the GT440.It does take up two slots, so careful if you're running out of space. It requires just one 6 pin power cable which is a positive point, requiring less power & it comes with a Molex to 6 pin adapter if your PSU doesn't have a 6 pin cable like mine didn't.Overall very good quality, very cool, very quiet & it'll run Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Crysis & most top games on ultra without a problem.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago as a replacement for an ATI 4780 2gb, which was showing its age a bit. I've a Core2Duo E8500, 4gb of RAM and a 1050 x 1680 monitor and I was struggling to run a lot of the more recent games on modest settings.Installing the card was v easy and the software on the disc includes an update utility for drivers and bios and MSI Afterburner.I haven't overlooked the card above the factory overclock the it comes with it, and the difference in speed and graphical quality have been huge. Every game I have, including Skyrim, Metro 2030 and The Witcher 2 now have every setting up to max and run v smoothly. The 4870 was a top card a few years back and I wondered how much difference a new £200 mid range card could really make.Answer: massive.

The 7850 is a very good card that is great for this price. This MSI Twin Frozr version has a slight overclock and terrific cooling. Runs modern games on high settings at 60fps alongside my i5 3570k and 8gb ram. It runs at 25-30 idle and rarely reaches over 60 degrees, even at max load, I've only ever seen it hit 70. A robust card with awesome power, easy driver install and quality fans. I'd highly recommend.

Sits at 30'C idle and at max 60'C which in comparison with my old HD 5770 is amazing. It is an overclocking beast which can easily surpass the more expensive HD 7870. :). Its was an excellent purchase if only i had enough money would be perfect in crossfire (low temps great performance).

Absolutely brilliant Graphics card, shrugs off some of the best games no questions asked. Quiet fans up until about 70/80% power. Runs SWTOR at Ultra Quality for over 4 hours with no problems at about 45 degrees max...
