I purchased this Motorola G8 Power Lite as an upgrade from my Hauwei Honor 9 Lite and couldn't be happier. I have always thought Hauwei were good value especially their Honor range, but this offering from Motorola surpasses them now. Now all new Hauwei models do not support Google services I was concerned so felt the need to switch to an android phone that did. After exhaustive research into budget ranges I narrowed it down to two models. This was based on features and battery life, the two models were Samsung's A21s and this Motorola G8 Power Lite. Because I was making my purchase from Very I had to opt for the Motorola, as they did not sell the A21s only the A21.

Cons- Grainy front camera, adjusts to light well but the image is just a bit meh, for the price I guess you're sacrificing something but it is a bit disappointing- Not USB-C, no lightening charging plug, it's an overnight charging job, but if it claims to have up to 3 days of battery, if you forget to charge on night you'll probably be ok for the following day- Fingerprint scanner is abysmal. Fortunately this is always a bit of a whatever feature anyway- Display is also a bit iffy in places but only if you're looking for itNoteable Information- This phone is a lite, but has a huge screen! Check the measurements as I estimated and was a little surprised- The UI isn't super intuitive.

So far I have found it to be a great phone. The big battery means it takes a while to charge fully but once charged the battery life is very good. The display is good and clear, response times good and has everything I need.I'm a frugal person and buy a phone like this outright so I can have a SIM only contract. A SIM only contract means that the phone will pay for itself inside six months as opposed to paying for a phone-included contract. My previous phone, a Moto G6, lasted over four years before the battery life became unacceptable, saving me a significant amount of money.I like the fingerprint reader being on the back of the phone, makes unlocking easy. The only thing missing is photo-unlock,

A great phone, I have upgraded to this one from my Moto G6 and am really happy. It is a bit bigger, but I think thinner and lighter, being the lite version it doesn't have all the same features - no facial recognition which doesn't bother me and you don't get the three fingers on the screen to screen shot short cut, but can still screen shot by using the power and volume down so again hasn't bothered me much. Battery life is fantastic, so pleased about this, gets me through the full day with usage no problem. I particularly like that it is dual SIM and has space for a micro SD card, which not all dual SIM phones do, means I can have my personal and business numbers on one phone as well as extra storage.

It takes a little to get used to. Spent all my time on Samsung with a few months on Apple. Thought I'd have a change.Got this a short while back and it is Lite in functionality. Some of the symbols take a bit of getting used to. The google based apps are annoying as the require ligging in and info stored on cloud. Not into that. So changed some personal data apps to remain in phone. Some physical operations are not ergonomically placed but easy to deal with.All in all a good size screen good processor, ok pics with 3 lenses. Nice all rounder.

I moved from Apple to Huawei a few years ago and have no regrets. My Huawei was getting a bit slow so settled on the Moto G8 Power Lite mainly because of 64gb memory, 4gb ram, price and reviews.So far so good, it's responsive, easy to navigate, great camera, do not disturb feature is good as I don't have to remember to put my phone on vibrate at night as you can set it to switch automatically at whatever time you like. I haven't come across any negatives yet and therefore would recommend.

This is the best phone I have seen for £150. I bought it for my fiancée as a replacement for her OnePlus 5 and for the price it is incredible. The 4gb ram ensures that it is fast enough to cope with anything she uses it for with no slowdown.64gb storage is great and if you need more it has a memory card space. The camera is impressive to.I have always get flagship phone when I upgrade and so I am used to fast phones and I like this phone. For the price you won't find better.

The Moto G8 Power Lite is an excellent budget Android phone costing less than a quarter of a high end Samsung or iPhone able to perform all the basic necessities of a modern handset. Big screen, big battery, modern operating system, fingerprint reader and a decent camera with macro mode. There are phones out there with better specifications but why waste money on a name when this will get the job done, sim-free, pay as you go, no great monthly bills.

Had to replace the phone after 3 days due to a catastrophic failure. However the replacement is excellent. The 5000mah battery lasts for 2 days even with decent usage, my normal usage lasts 3 days and is the best battery life phone I have had, good size screen/quality and camera gives a good picture, plenty of built in storage but also the usual storage card slot available. Has a 2nd SIM card slot that I don't need, but is a useful feature.

Great battery life and camera.I don't think the battery will last for the three days as quoted unless the phone isn't being used, but it definitely lasts for two solid days with moderate use.The actual phone is quite large, so doesn't fit into the things my old phone did but that's not too much of a problem.Overall I am pleased with it and the delivery was quick and secure.

Lovely handset. Comes with silicone case which is a bonus as the phone without it, is quite slippery. Takes good photos. Sound quality for music is OK but not great compared to what I was used to with my previous handset. Nice size screen for watching films or videos. Battery life is great, can last all day with moderate use or over 2 days with light use.

I liked my old phone so much I just went for the upgraded version, as my old Moto was starting to get slow and tired. This phone is perfect for what I want it for the camera is good and the battery does seem to last longer depending on usage. I would recommend this phone for someone who just needs a cheaper smartphone.

The phone looks good and feels good.sleak but big so you can easily read the screen.Easy to use.Battery life not the best considering the size and when the battery had started to run out it brought up Chinese writing and needed a factory reset to bring back on line so may change the score of this repeats

A good mobile at an excellent price. Transferring all information from old to new was far easier than I expected. The battery life is far better than most phones, especially if left on standby and with little use. The quality of the photos is good, but as yet I haven’t really used the camera.Very pleased

I bought this phone and absolutely love it. It has excellent features, battery life last about two days depending how often you use it. It does everything I need from a smart phone. Also comes with it's own case which is unusual for a phone. Love this product would buy Motorola again.
