Bought to upgrade from an older G-series Motorola. Build quality, speed & battery life provide great value for money. Plus the screen screen makes the phone a pleasure to use.Especially pleased with the wifi calling feature due to issues with poor reception at home. This phone is supported by my network for wifi calling, which worked out of the box. I just put my SIM in, and provided I'm connected to WiFi, I remain contactable for calls and messages even if the cell network signal is lost.

This mobile has great battery life(lasts a day easily) and superb cameras. The display is very good and great stereo speakers(very loud). You have to lower your expectations for performance though as there are often lags and it will take a second or two to load things. Nothing that you won't be able to live with, given the affordable price. I was expecting a smooth performance though and I am a bit disappointed. But if you don't mind the lag, then that's a very good phone at this price point.

PROS: dual SIM, great performance hardware, Android 9 with no bloatware (!), will update soon to Android 10. Excellent fingerprint reader on the back, very useful for unlocking phone and apps. Good size and quality screen, small water-drop notch. Long lasting battery and turbo charging (you can squeeze 2 days if needed). Sharp camera, laser focus, action cam mode for video, anti hand-shaking stabilization. It's not too heavy and it has a great price for the specs.CONS: None at the moment.

I'm delighted with this phone, bought to replace a 6-year-old Moto G 1st gen that had become sluggish. It's very easy to use, with a clear display & great sound, & is impressively responsive. The camera is more sophisticated than the old one so I haven't used it much yet, but it takes good photos. Which magazine complains it has a slow processor but that's not been my experience The reviews here and elsewhere, as well as in tech magazines, convinced me to buy it, and I'm very glad I did.

Moto G's have consistently offered a great competitive alternative to much 3-5x more expensive alternatives - but don't be fooled as there's no compromises on the important stuff. The camera and battery are in fact much better... and it even makes calls and sends texts!For just a little more compared to the G8 Power, the G8Plus model benefits from also having NFC, dual band WiFi (distance and speed), and WiFi calling for when in poor signal areas. Great buy!

My G4 started to struggle after a recent update which effected the SD card I had put in for extra storage so I was forced to upgrade to the G8 Plus. What a difference! Loads more space, superior camera than the other G8 models, comes with a fast charger and so far I don't even have to charge it everyday. Much clearer screen due to the high pixel count and the screen size itself is slightly bigger which I like too. Overall, very happy.

I would highly recommend this phone! I've had Huawei, Xiaomi and Motorola before but this is the best yet! Such good quality for the money, the only negative is that there's not such a wide range of cases available as some phone brands. The battery goes on at least a day, the camera is great, I had researched which were the best smartphones for this price range and this one came up alot, especially for its camera and battery life.

I had a Motorola 3rd Gen and it lasted nearly 5 years! I wanted to stick to the same brand and this phone is full of great features considering the price! The camera is fantastic! Make sure you look through the Motorola settings to get the best out of the hidden functions and tricks the phone has already built in. It's great because you can customise the settings too. I highly recommend this phone. Big thumbs up!

Despite being a loyal iPhone user for many years, the useless iPhone battery has finally got me to swap. 3 days without a recharge! Even reloading everything manually hadn't been too bad. If only Apple would release iTunes for Android all would be great. Still some learning to do but phone screen and features seem to be great. Minor issue is the dual SIM takes up the memory card slot.

This is the third Moto G phone I have owned, a G4, G5 and now G8. They have all offered excellent performance for their cost. The G8 has an excellent camera has a fast processor and a good sized screen. Sound quality is good and in stereo. The battery lasts well over a day even with heavy use. I am happy that this phone offers what I consider to be very good value for money

Had the Moto g range for a few years . They're a good budget phone with no bloatwear . More or less android as Google intended . 4 GB of ram is more than enough for most tasks , but maybe not high end gaming . Good stereo sound , same as my wife's galaxy s9 . If you don't want to throw money at fast depreciating flagship phones , you won't go far wrong with this .

This phone has just replaced my previous Motorola g4 as decided to stick with what I know and not disappointed. The camera has a great portrait shot for you to fuzz the background making them look professional. This is slightly bigger and heavier than my previous phone but overall would certainly recommend this phone for ease of use and it's capabilities

Good-sized screen with clear display. Could be a bit brighter, not great in the sun. Useful NFC for Google Pay contactless payments. Fast fingerprint reader, well-placed. Responsive and fast, but we don't use games, so no opinion on that. System uses about 15GB of the 64GB storage!Overall, very pleased - bought for my wife, may buy one for me as well.

For me I dont need a £1,200 phone.This does it all.The camera is amazing as usual. It does do 1080p at 60fps and 120fps.It does have sd card slow so I can add more storage myself when I need it.And yes 3.5mm jack.Just all around a really good phone.The only downside is the software updates, still stuck on Android 9 in July 2020.

Excellent camera and storage capacity, dual SIM. Android version seems a little slower than the cheaper G7 phone which is a brilliant phone for the price but updated to this for the capacity that G7 doesn't offer. Probably deserves 5 stars overall for the price as it does everything a top end phone does without the hit on your pocket.
