Bought the Motorola E5 Play for my wife who likes her phones simple, yet, modern. This fits the bill nicely as it's so easy to use. Sim Free and Fingerprint security were the added main selling points as she only texts and takes/makes calls. Saying that, if she ever wants to join the 21st century, the Motorola E5 Play will meet her needs. Good camera and decent internal memory that can be expanded by microSD card to 128GB. It's pretty quick too, the battery is good enough & screen crystal clear.

Bought as a replacement for a broken, outdated phone, fearures are good, set up easy, price decent, all in quite good for the money, with lots if useful features and good screen visuals, battery life could be better, but that may well be to do with too many pre loaded apps etc . To balance the good with a couple if negatives ... the finger print lock its slightly tricky when in a case , the constant notification of security updates is annoying and the body is too slippery when not in a case

A month from purchase, I am very pleased. Excellent value, build quality and battery life. For 'lite' smartphone use like mine, performance is fine, as is screeen resolution and colour. Android 8.0 (G0) is easy, both to configure and use. If you store a lot of pictures, music or stream movies, you probably want something more powerful, with greater storage. If, like me, your smartphone needs are modest and you don't want to spend a fortune, based on my experience, this is a good choice.

There is little or no lag in use, battery lasts all day, and finger print scanner is a great bonus at this price point. The camera is reasonable and the Android GO operating system doesn't seem too different to other Android devices I have used. For the money, there really aren't any downsides. In fact against top spec phones, the only real downside is no contactless charging or payments and the screen isn't pin sharp like an amoled one is (although it is perfectly acceptable).

This phone was bought for my daughter as a stop-gap as her phone was failing and she couldn't yet afford the one she wanted so she needed something to use while she saved up, but she is blown away by the features on this phone and loves it. It does everything she needs at a fraction of the price of some other phones and she might even keep this phone and stop saving for another. The battery life seems very good and its very easy to use. I would definatley recommend it.

I don't have a lot of experience of mobile phones as, generally I only use them for...texts, internet and the odd phone call. But I would say that Google is in charge of your experience on this phone. I usually use a decent camera for photos but did use this phone for a few. If you don't want to share your photo's with Google it won't let you even look at them. Battery life adequate I just don't like a faceless company being in charge of my phone.

This little phone is great as a spare or for simple phone use. I like that it has a headphone jack, removable battery and all the bluetooth, wifi and features you might need in a simple form factor.However, I find the software slow and the battery does not last long. So you may wish to get a higher quality phone for every day use or to have that extra special feel in the hands.Overall, cheap and cheerful and ready in a pinch.

For what we wanted to pay for a phone that sees little use we think that this is a bargain.It was bought to replace my wife's phone that didn't take kindly to a dunking, it's got more features than my wife is ever likely to use or need.It's not a top act and neither is it pretending to be. If you want an all singing all dancing gadget with loads of features and faster than Usain Bolt then don't buy this particular model!

I don't: stream music/play games/spend ages surfing/use social media/spend my life taking selfies. I do make a handful of phone calls and texts per week, go online rarely & use Waze to navigate in my car. If this is you, then this phone will be perfect. Only adjustment i've had to make is to buy a 16 gig micro memory card to store music as the built in memory is not massive. Easy to use and everything works as it should.

Bought this as an urgent replacement for a more expensive Motorola that got damaged. Wish I'd bought this one in the first place as it does everything I want it to for £100 less than I paid before.The camera isn't fantastic quality but that shouldn't be expected at this price point. Everything else does what it should without fuss.It's a perfectly good smart phone for not a lot of money. Highly recommended.

This phone from Motorola is available at a budget price. The phone feels a bit plasticky but performs well. The operating system is up to date and speed is reasonable for the price. Would recommend this phone to anyone wanting reasonable performance at a low price..Would recommend downloading the full google maps software if you wish to use this phone for navigation, its a lot better than the built in go app.

Pleased with my new mobile. This is only my second smart phone and the first with Android operating system. I've found it very intuitive, pleased with the Google Assist App, torch and two way camera. I'd say this was good value for money and meets my needs - I use very little data, but the speed of 4G makes a lot of difference to general web surfing and think the 16 GB memory should also be enough for me.

I would give this phone a solid 4 stars out of 5. As an entry-level smartphone it does everything you would ask of it and a little more besides. The fingerprint detection is a nice addition, much easier than entering your pin each time. The phone runs smoothly and has ample storage capacity. The battery is also very good compared to others in its bracket. Stylish too and economical. Would highly recommend.

The phone is ok, the camera is better than my last phone. There are still things that I haven't worked out yet and I've had it for over 2 weeks. I can't get it to ring more than 3 times before it goes to answer phone. I also can't get it to show missed calls or received text messages, I have to open them to see if anyone has called or left a text - annoying. Apart from that the phone is fine.

Has not got some features my 2 year old Lenovo has,but it has fingerprint access which is so useful and quick,when most screens shut off after 30 minutes inactivity,ideal just to use that feature.fingerprint can also be used to access certain websites without using password.not to big and bulky like some phones nowadays,it's not small though.would recommend for the average user
