Microsoft's game studios have come up with a couple of fine games in their time, which were for release on the PC. Now that the Xbox has come along, it shares these games. Midtown Madness 3 is one of these, and it will easily be one of the games of the year.MM3 is the type of game, that us gamers can't wait to arrive. It has everything: online play/multiplayer, great graphics, a decent single player game, and it is just pure fun.Playing by yourself can take a little time, I myself completed the single player/undercover mode in about a week, in both cities. Don't let this put you off, it is a challenge, but luckily I had a fair bit of free time on my hands when I bought this.Undercover Mode sees you working as an detective in Washington and as an undercover officer in Paris; these are basically missions, ie checkpoint races, chases, things like that. There are 54 of these in all, meaning 27 in each city. The other single player option is, the, well, Single Player mode. This is where you can either; Cruise (Just drive around the city, do what you like, look for hiding spots, collect Paint Jobs, ect), Blitz races (where you have to finish the checkpoint circuit before time runs out) and actual Checkpoint Races (this is where you are racing for checkpoints against opponants). Each one is extreamly well done, and there is a good variety in the races. With me, this lasted me just over a week, but, again, this could be different with you.Multiplayer. This game is more than capable to become a deffination of this word. The multiplayer is fantastic. You first have the option to play on Xbox Live, Split Screen or on a System Link. On split screen, you only have the option to choose a checkpoint race or to cruise. This is quite fun, but once you have done them all, well, you have done them all. Xbox Live is where this title really comes in to it's own. There are a lot more game options then you can have with split screen, along with the ones you can get. Hunter is where there are a group of you driving in normal cars of your choise, and someone is in a police car. This person will need to touch one of the others for them to become a hunter. Once you have been touched, you have to do the same for everyone else, and in the end, there are a load of hunters/police trying to catch one other person. Capture the Gold, this is where you/your team, will need to get to the gold (spawned randomly on the map) by driving through it, and driving back to base to score a point. Tag, this works as normal tag, there is a time limit, and if you are tagged, and can't touch anyone else before time runs out, then you are out of the game. Stayaway, this is just reverse tag, you get the "rabbit" when you touch the person with the rabbit, then you have to try and not get touched, untill the timer runs out, then you have won. This can also be done in teamplay. I cannot stress enough how much fun this game is on multiplayer, you can honestly play it for hours on end. There are a good selection of voice masks too, if you are in to that kind of thing...The gameplay is very comfortable. The two triggers are accelerate and brake, with the left analogue used for steering. The remaining buttons and analogue is used for lights, the horn, looking to your side ect.The cars look stunning on this game, the graphics are exceptionally well done. The vast spans of each city are vividally detailed, as are the cars. Lighting effects, everything, it is all far better then most games of this type.Midtown Madness 3 is an action-packed, fun-filled game, that'll be playable till the next game comes out. If you buy this, I seriously recommend you get Xbox Live (if you haven't already) because it is simply the best game available to play on Live now, so buckle up.

Since the launch of the x-box, Brute Force was always a game that was talked about since it's announcement as one of the 'exclusive' x-box games. It promised so many things such as a multiplayer story mode meaning you could complete the game with friends rather than just play against them in multiplayer battles that often became rather boring. This ranged from 1-4 players to battle it out against the computer in a variety of different missions. On this level Brute Force definitely delivers on all accounts. A friend and I are currently experiencing a lot of enjoyment by playing through the tough story mode. This game will last you a long time as there is so much to do.After countless hours of intense playing we are still only about a quarter of the way through it.Secondly the graphics in Brute Force are outstanding. This game truly capitolises on the great power the x-box withholds. It is just visualy stunning.Thirdly the game developers haven't overlooked anything as even the 4 highly detailed characters have interesting backstories and individual personalities. The story in the game actually has a purpose and does not simply take a back seat to the action no matter how impressive it is.Lastly the weapons for each character in the game are just 100% ultra-cool and matches each character perfectly.Overall Brute Force certainly was worth the wait as it offers so much more than other games. I have never seen a game that has treated co-operative gaming with friends as the main pleasure in gaming and i thank the developers for doing it. There are not nearly enough co-operative games out on the market and in my case anyway there is certainly the demand for them and the makers of Brute Force have definitely satisfied it.P.S. If you are like me and like playing with your friends through a game and dont have an x-box then i suggest you buy one just for this game. It is that good.

For those of you who haven't played any of the midtown madness series before: buy this game! The single player gives you enough variety and levels to keep you driving for ages, whether you like the undercover missions(admittedly with very flimsy plots, but who cares?), the thrill of the races or just cruising around the two beatiful cities, Washington DC and Paris, sightseeing(all the major buildings are included). The game is easy to learn to play, hard to master. The play is very much based on the title, at times it can feel like pinball, as you smash your near invulnerable car through traffic, streetlamps and anything else that gets in your way.And then there is the multiplayer, be it on a splitscreen,a system link or on xbox live, this is the best way to enjoy the cities. If you think it's insane on single player, just wait until you have humans to compete with.I have two main problems new version though. Firstly, it has lost the ability to alter the physics realism, and left it set on the most unrealistic, leading to unlikely collisions. The second is that to get new colours for your cars you need to collect powerups around the cities. This does give some meaning to the cruise mode but you must collect the correct powerups for the car you are driving from amidst all the others, which means for those of us without a taxi drivers memory you need to explore the entire cities with each new car you get. Boring. An extra random point for previous users, all the windows are now breakable, so colliding into buildings generally brings the pleasant sound of glass shattering.Overall, it's an extremely good addition to any xbox games collection and well worth the money for the countless hours spent in driving mayhem.

Well, well! I was a sceptic at first, but this game is simply great fun. Don't expect anything really serious - rather prepare for an entertaining ride through Paris or Washington. As a single player, you have the options of working as an undercover agent or competing in single races. You may also spend time "sightseeing" the cities. In undercover mode, you unveil new missions and careers as you advance. You must complete three missions (picking up people, delivering pizza, driving ambulances, police cars, etc.) in order to advance to a new career, while completing a fourth usually provides you with an extra vehicle to choose from in the single (or multiple) player blitz races against time. And winning single races reveal new equipment, too! Some missions are rather easy and routine, while others seem almost impossible in the beginning. Of course, after a while you start to feel at home in the big, detailed cities.I feel there are to few missions, and really to many of the checkpoint races (in undercover mode). I wish the developers had included more missions where you are followed by police, gangsters, etc..Still, if you ever wanted to drive around Paris at top speed, crashing cafe tables and newspaper stands, this is the game for you. Lighthearted and witty, this game is very entertaining!

Midtown Madness 3, the long awaited sequel to one of Microsoft’s most loved franchises is finally here and I can say it won’t disappoint. When I first got Midtown Madness 3 I played a few campaign missions first and I can say that it is quite fun but you would probably take it back if you haven’t got Xbox live, I logged onto my live account and found a game, I played a new mode for MM3 which is called hunter where basically one guy starts as a cop and the rest have to leg it, when u get caught you turn into a cop and then have to get the prey, and it is way better than capture the gold I think. There are loads of new game modes and they are all really good. The cities in MM2 are Washington and Paris and they are absolutely huge (twice as big as the old cities in mm2)there are thousands of things to smash up, there are subways in both cities and the Washington Subway is better because you can drive up the wall. The cars are great, you can go from Hummer H2 or a Lotus Esprit there are 32 cars in total and about 7 more to download from Xbox live, more DLC is on its way to.To sum it all up this game is a must if you have Xbox live, if you don’t it’s worth a rent.

This game definelty beets it's predocesors (midtown maddness 1 + 2). You get to drive around two massive cities washington and paris. You can take in the sites or make havoc in the cities. All the sites are there the eiffel tower, the white house ect. There are 32 vechiles all together, ranging from a city bus to a doge viper. As usuall there are the diving peds and a lot of jumps to find. The best part in the game is probbebly the missions. you get to be a pizza deliverry guy a police officer a paramedic and a secret agent and lots more. Asusual there are blitz, checkpoint and good old cruise which lets you explore the cities without timers and dameges out.A neat touch they added to the game is that for each car there are two paint jobs hiden one in each city. Some of them are easliy found but some of them are harder. They take a bit of time to find but are well worth it.If you liked the 1st and 2nd games then you will love this one. If you are new to the midtown maddness trilogy then i would still give it a try as it is one of the best driving games out for the xbox.SO BUY THIS GAME NOW !!!!!!!!

I was lucky enough to buy the game at the airport in NY.The graphics have vastly improved, you can see birds flying and even leaves falling to the ground when you ram into a tree. There is a new 'undercover missions' section in the game, its good fun too! and gets progessively harder. However the missions are nothing compared to online play, allowing you to race or just cruise with other people from across the globe!!You can also use your own music in the game, however there seems to be a bug which hopefully will be fixed, the bug causes the same track to play (or the starting track) over and over, which is really annoying , considering you cant switch tracks or anything. There isn't a dashboard view unlike the old version, the only view that comes close is the windscreen view. There are loads of new cars and , plus two hugh cities to explore, and to roam and locate hidden cars and paint jobs. Its a great game to own, its also different from say Midnight Club2.It doesnt have a boost or anything like that, put you do get to race during the day, inlike mc2.See you all online on xbox LIVE

Midtown madness is a absolute fantastic game aimed at peole who enjoy the faster pace of games. Ill start by saying whats bad because thats important:1. Cars can be a bit light at times especially the mini2. Its wierd when a small car like the mini can send massive busses flying (but fun)3. One player can be completed quite quick and slighty repetitiveThats all rearlly for bad points. i didnt find any of them to disruptivegood points;1. Extreme speeds can be reached with no slowdown.2. Loads of vehicles (buses, sports cars, limos, fire engines and minis).3. Wrecking cities together in 2 player with massive buses is highly addictive.4.Near perfect graphics make the experience even more intence. And on top of that the insane xbox live...u cant go wrong.

This is a good racing game especially if you have Xbox live. In campaign mode you go undercover to found out information. You take various jobs and have to complete different tasks before moving on. Graphics are good although sometimes you crash into trees and sometimes not. It’s not consistent so could make for a frustrating game.Midtown Madness scores however, on its live compatibility which is excellent. Games are much easier to get into, capture the gold, checkpoint, hunter, or just cruise, than Midnight Club II. You can play all the cars so you are not left out having to unlock them before you can compete with those who have had the game sometime.A nice addition to Xbox live.

I first played the midtown madness series on the p.c and i owned 1 +2 so therefore i have waiting for the release of this game to the xbox. This is the sort of game you can just pick up and play. It includes a goods range of cars and two highly Detailed citys in which to drive them. The missions start Easy and work there way up in difficulty. If you are looking for a Racing game that just keeps it simple and fun this is the one to buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought this game for nostalgic reasons. Hadn't played it in years and was brought straight back into it. Obviously the graphics are quite old. A lot of discs I bought for the game previously didn't work but I've finally found one that does!

22.7.2017

Owned the original 1 and 2 on PC and loved the games. On discovering there was a 3 brought an old Original XBOX just to play this game. Was not disappointed this is the best of the series with many new features - hours of fun !
