I should start by saying, I'm definitely a Crackdown fan, however I've tried to look at this objectively. What they've managed to do here, is take all the good parts of Crackdown 2 and improve on them all in different ways. The repetitive campaign of 1 and 2 is still here, but the objectives are spread over the entire map as opposed to cutting it into sections. There aren't lots of unique objectives, but completing them all back to back doesn't feel like a grid in any way.The boss system is slightly different to the first two. You have to defeat the lower ranks of each industry to progress to the next tier and then the final boss above those (think Shadow of Mordor).Like the first two, progression is heavily dependant on skills. Agility orbs are back, so are hidden orbs. There are also two more collectable types, one unlocks additional playable Agents whilst providing XP boosts to stat gains. The other items are a sort of audio diary of the events before the main story.Speaking of the main story, it's quick. As in, you can finish this in 6 hours on normal. There's lots to do besides this, and I've now nearly played more time collecting orbs and completing races as I have playing the actual campaign. The play anywhere aspect of the digital version works well too, unlike the Forza games where they have to sync data for as minute or so every time you load one up. This just starts and loads you into the game almost seamlessly, allowing you to switch between Xbox and PC with very little effort. I understand this won't be a major selling point, but feel it is worth mentioning as I certainly am impressed by how it functions.I have yet to try co-op or vs multiplayer as they don't interest me in the slightest. In conclusion:6 hour campaign.Slight repetition of objectives.Loads of collectables. No groundbreaking gameplay, but solid nonetheless. If you like 1/2, you'll probably like 3.

This game is simply the complete antithesis to Red Dead Redemption 2: It's not trying to accurately recreate anything, it doesn't revel in the details, it won't let you savour the moment. A sandbox game with a big open world, and an even bigger heart.First of all, the game looks absolutely stunning, playing on a PC with max settings at 1440p (on a GTX980) the city skyline is a fusion of Wipeout and Bladerunner, sweeping curves of monorails, futuritistic tech buildings tower into the sky and every single one of the them is a 3D puzzle begging you to master the climb. Jumping from building to building, searching for the 750 agility orbs (and 250 hidden orbs) to power up your 'Agent' is for me,the ultimate platforming experience. As you climb, the very real danger of plunging back to the ground and having to start over really heightens your senses, it's heart pounding stuff. My favourite climbs are the Propaganda towers, twelve of which are scattered throughout the city, you'll have to make massive jumps onto tiny spinning platforms, dodge lazer barriers, and judge some of your triple jumps to sheer perfection if you want to make it to the top. The intensity of the music increases the closer you get to the summit, just in case your heart wasn't racing enough.I love that you can press up on the d-pad to call in a transforming agency vehicle and use it's buggy/race car/tank forms to get around the city quicker. I also love the stunt jumps located in some truly bizarre locations, to active them you're going to have to literally pick up your car, and carry it to some pretty far out places in order to complete all the jumps. So if Red Dead's pace is a little too slow for you, or you find yourself bored, tapping 'A' for twenty minutes as your horse rides through the old country, perhaps Crackdown 3 would be more of what you're looking for in an open world sandbox. It was for me.

After reading some of the reviews about this game I was skeptical, as I'd played Crackdown 1 and 2 and really enjoyed them. Lots of people saying it's rubbish and can finish the whole game in 8 hours ect. This is true if all you want to do is complete the story and never play it again, in fact you can actually do that in half an hour if you wanted. I have just finished the game and by that I mean beat every boss, collected every orb, got every achievement, and I played for about 35 hours. It's very different to the first 2 crackdown games in that it's really futuristic now, you fight a lot of robots now as well as people, but that's not a bad thing. The game can be a little glitchy at times, but it's hilarious especially when playing co-op with a friend, some really epic moments and if you enjoyed the first 2 games, you will enjoy this too!

I don't write a lot of reviews but I had to write something about this game. I've played all the crackdown's and I have to say this is a great game!I like to usually jump between games but this Crackdown open world has a lot to offer. It has got new additions to the game like you can do with your agent. I think it was a great idea to bring Terry Crews to the game. The game so enjoyable I can't stop playing it. Like other people said it's like the original Crackdown but I love the fact its gone back to it roots and not crackdown 2 where I think it was a let down. Great job guys happy customer!!

People who give this game a bad review have not given the game any time it's all about running and jumping around the city collecting orbs to power up your character then go battle all the bosses in hard to reach buildings there is loads more to do like the races r all fun, finding all the monkey shine bars, climbing the propaganda towers, and loads more. If I could make the game better it would be just two things an option to switch off the f word speech so my son could play it and make the special car better. It's a game that will be one of my all time favourites

You know what this has had a lot of stick even though it wasn’t even out. However after playing it for a few hours last night via game pass I can say, with confidence, those critics are wrong. It’s a big bunch of dumb fun and I had a blast with it. It’s Crackdown through and through and never pretends to be anything different. A solid 8 out of 10 for me. And it looks gorgeous, on the One X at least. Frame rate is solid and it plays smoothly. If you liked the original Crackdown you’ll love this.

Been playing the solo campaign for about an hour now. As a big fan of the original Crackdown games I pleased to say this feels absolutely authentic. I was worried after years of development hell that the finished product just wouldn't be the same. But it is. All the platforming and gun play mayhem that you know and love. Just hearing the sound of those orbs when you collect them makes me so happy. I'll be hearing that noise in my sleep, just like I did 11 years ago when playing the original.

Although, the multiplayer mode “Wrecking Zone” is atrocious and should never have been released. The campaign which was made by an entirely different studio has been great fun, and has amazing music throughout. I haven’t enjoyed an XBOX exclusive as much since Halo 3. It is dumb, but it doesn’t pretend to be something it is not. Terry Crews fans will appreciate this. Note: I would everyone remap their controller using the XBOX ACCESSORIES app, as the control scheme is very counter intuitive.

The long anticipated Crackdown 3 brings a fantastic slice of nostalgia for fans of the series & keeps the trademark hectic gunplay that made the first two games a success. Terry Crews voice acting adds a humorous twist to the story of this open world shooter that impresses but could of been so much more.Fans of the crackdown series like myself will thoroughly enjoy this game but if this is your first step into new providence I'd try another game

Fab upgrade to the last 2. More challenges and the open world graphics are a vast improvement on the previous 2 installments. The inclusion of many side quests keeps you going and creates a nice break from the standard "follow the storyline" methodDeffinate replay value.I will say this though. If you are a Crackdown fan...don't play on easier modes. Push your skills to the limit. When you progress it's so much more satisfying.

Crackdown 3 was highly anticipated and was critically mauled upon release. However I found the game fun to play, along with clean and colourful graphics. Yes the game could have been more inventive, but if you enjoy single player campaigns that are not overly difficult you could do a lot worse than Crackdown 3. I would recommend it especially if you have not played the first two games.

Loving this game, it's Crackdown reborn and brings back the nostalgic smile of familiarity from all those years ago. Absolutely no idea why it's taken so long to come out though as it brings nothing new to the table, what were the developers doing? but it is great fun to play and I can't really ask for much more than that. I've actually taken a break from Red Dead to play this.

really enjoying this new crackdown looks great in 4k my issue is the online wreking zone this is really as basic as it gets very small maps the destruction is nothing like advertised over the past 3 years of hype and I fail to see how they would need cloud power to run the destruction it really is nowhere near as good as destruction in the battlefield games.

Think GTA5 ,but set in the future, in a cyberpunk bladerunner esq world! ...oh and its a BILLION TIMES! Better than GTA.It looks, sounds and feels great!Top gameplay too. It truly is a unbelievably good game, I'm surprised it hasn't had more attention. This game will peak soon, more people need to give it a chance.
