If, like me, your choice of game genre is racing (personally, it's the ONLY genre I play... not that I'm obsessed!) then you need to have this game in your life. Yes, it really is that good.With a huge of amount of game time needed to progress through this game, especially for the completist who just haaaas to go back and win every...single...race...even...if...they've...already...unlocked...the...next...level (I know I'm not the only one), you never get bored. By the time you think you've got to grips with the driving style for your current vehicle and completed all your events with it, you need to change to a new category (modded imports, luxury sedans, classic American muscle cars, prestige cars,exotics and super cars, trucks, SUVs, choppers, racing bikes, they're all in here) to take on a new set of challenges and it keeps the gameplay in Dub Edition challenging and fresh throughout. It's almost like a multitude of driving games in a single environment (Toca fans will probably appreciate that touch).The cities are large enough to take a while to learn so you don't get bored of free roaming too soon - think NFS Most Wanted kind of size for each city, with shortcuts sometimes tricky to spot (useful tip : you quickly find them by watching your opponents racing lines in challenges) and the difficulty levels steadily, but subtly increasing this game will keep you on your toes even when you think you've mastered it.This is a welcome relief to any hardcore racers out there. If you love sim racers, this is a really amusing departure and a nice way to take a break from the pure skill and accuracy needed for games like Toca3 and GT4. It gives you time to relax back into the pure fun of ridiculously high speed madness through urban settings and unrealistic physics, but it doesn't do it in a purely basic point and powerslide way like the Burnout series, it still needs some driving precision as American muscle cars oversteer stupidly, but have massive power and imports can dive through the narrowest of gaps with pinpoint handling but lack the top-end grunt.If you're a big fan of the customising mods in the Need For Speed games (definitely Most Wanted and especially Carbon's crazy level of modding), then you're going to fall in love with this game too. The mods are much more limited in some areas (fewer actual bodykits available and they seem to take longer to unlock), but in other areas this is made up in spades by the level of detail you can go into. If you want an exact shade of a colour it has full RGB slider control to create the perfect match - much better than NFS Carbon in that feature.One of my most beautiful looking modded cars is an old Chevy with cartoonish fat fat fat spoked rims (and 1 inch tyre profiles), dropped suspension all round pro-street style, massive intakes sticking out of the bonnet, roof chop, with chrome everywhere, in a truly Miami metallic surf blue and white flames - neons all round and colour-coded nitro exhaust flames. One of the really nice little finishing touches is the ability to personalise things like window graphics and your number plate (both the US state's plate from different decades, AND your lettering/numbering). The bikes allow you to mod the rider too, with different riders to choose from and various outfits for them to wear to get the look you're after.Of course it's really all about the driving, and that's always a pleasure. Then when your head's too fried to deal with the blur of nitrous-injected acceleration through traffic and oncoming trams, you can always escape back to more civilised mania like racing 24 hour realtime endurance races in a Pescarolo around Le Sarthe in Gran Turismo ;)In summary: If you're an arcader fan you'll like the silly arcade feel to much of the game, and the slightly harder challenge of needing some actual skill to win every race. If you're a sim fan you'll like the silly distraction from real driving styles, but appreciate that it doesn't feel like it's patronising your abilities. A real all-rounder then, and from one racing game nutter to another - if you don't already have this in your collection, you're missing out on a top notch fun game.I'd recommend this as one of the top ten racers I've played (and believe me, I've been playing racers since I started programming them in BASIC on a Vic20 - and that's way before even Pole Position hit the arcades), so it's no small honour. Buy it, love it, but don't forget there's a real world out there with people in it, because you just may get lost in this game :)

This is a great game. It has great cars, amzing gameplay, great customization, great graphics and it poses a real challenge.So the cars, there are so many and all costomizable in almost every way you could think of. They are sorted into catagories, SUVs/Trucks, Exotics, Muscle Cars etc. and are then sorted into further catagories of performence, Class D, Class E etc. They all have different performence levels and these can be upgraded in the garage, you can change the engine core, the brakes etc. and can even inject your ride with nitrous to give it a boost of insane speed. The only dissapointment in this catergory is that you cant costomize the inside of your car, bummer.The gameplay is immense.

Firstly i have to admit that i have not played the previous Midnight Club games, i just liked the look of this one. I love driving games and there are many amazing ones out already (Gran Turismo 4, NFSU2, Burnout 3,Enthusia etc.) so what does this one have to offer? Well, the graphics are much better than i expected, obviously not surpassing those of the Gran Turismo series but for a rockstar game the graphics are very good. The reason i say this is because although rockstar create generally good games such as GTA and Red Dead Revolver, the frame rate etc is not fantastic but in this they are. The soundtrack is brilliant ranging from rock to hip-hop, enough to please most.

When i came to choosing a new racing game, it was a throw up between this and juiced. After reading other reviews i chose Midnight Club 3, and i know i've definately made the right choice.The sense of speed on this game is awesome, and with a seemingly endless choice of races, this game kept me up all night. You can upgrade your car in almost any way you can think of, from nitro's down to the size of your rims ! The variety of vehicles is huge aswell, with always something new to try. You have loads of different categories of cars with their own individual race groups so you get to try a few ways to race, with either sheer brute force piledriving your way through,

Firstly, Midnight club 3 is a great game in its own right. The sense of speed is fantastic, multiplayer is competitive and exciting, carrer mode has a balanced difficulty curve and the cars look fantastic. Customisation is (almost) limitless- no other racing game can give more varied customisation options and it will last you for a good while.But...Need for spped Most Wanted is better. It's hard to say why but its simply more fun. Maybe its the presentation and finish, or just simply the racing but I enjoyed 2 days of NFS Most Wanted than I have 4 months of midnight club 3.Don't get me wrong though, MC3 is still great, and for around £20 cheaper, you really can't go wrong. But if I had to choose,

Wow...This is the most amazing racer game for the PS2 in a long while! Yeah Need 4 Speed : Underground / 2 where ace, but this is something else...Absolutely fantastic!The sense of speed is like no other and the Mods to the cars are endless, its a beauty!I strongly recommend you buy this game over any Need 4 Speed or any other tuner car racer, 'coz this is class!From the classics of the Impala's and old Cadillacs, to the finely tuned 300C Hemis and H2 Hummer's this game is sure to impress any hard nosed car junkie.. it impressed me!I'm addicted to it!Overall rating..Graphics = 11 / 10Music! = 11 / 10My Personal Opinion = 12 / 10I love this game!

if you are into street racing games i suggest you pick this up, it has such deeper custimzation than nfsu2, the performnce upgrading is a bit basic but custimizing the exterior is incredible.pros:incredible sense of speedmuch better than nfsu 1 and 2and huge car list of fully custimizable cars (about 60 cars with about 6 motor bikes all of them are real cars/suvs/motorbikes)there are motorbikesinsanse jumps!great addition to the series with added pimping your carscons:there is only one problem with game is te graphics which arnt great but are still okoverall this game is the best street racer avalible

this a great game!!! much better than any of need for speed games, you get much more selection of cars and SUVS and bikes the only thing that annoys me is it does not tell you which way to go so you ca actually get lost in races, this makes it much harder but much more realistic. so ill just have to deal with it

best racing game ever, this game is so fun and it is long and it never gets boring. Its not too easy or hard and i personally think this game is better than all the other midnight clubs. Taking in the price i would order this game now!!!

After paying for delivery I went to play this game on my ps2 and it wouldnt go past the copyright notices which is a shame because it is one of my favorite games i would like a full refund

Ordered on behalf of my brother as he broke his girlfriend's game, ordered used, the condition as described by him "Perfect, great condition for everything" so I think that says it all!
