This is a lovely mouse. It's medium sized - larger than some laptop mice, and smaller than some PC mice - and very comfortable to use. It has a nice, quiet click - quite clear to the user, but not loud. The Windows button is very good. Click once, and it takes you to your Windows home screen (the one with the tiles). Click again, and it takes you back to your previous screen. I was a little concerned that the Windows button might be in a position where it could be pressed accidentally, but it isn't. The scroll wheel is accurate and reliable, and the cursor moves quickly and precisely. I'm just waiting to see if it improves my skill at Facebook games...It comes with a Duracell battery, and the usb receiver is small and neat. I put the battery in, plugged in the receiver, and the mouse worked straight away, even while it was setting itself up on the computer. It tracks very well on the arm of our sofa, which is plain-ish with a textured pattern, and also on all the things within arms length that I tried it on. This included a blue and white patterned fabric, a black and cream striped t-shirt, a wooden table, my arm and a shiny white saucer!Oh, and it's a very nice colour!

Normally I'm a cheapskate, but I've discovered the old adage buy cheap buy twice definitely applies to mice. After going through a few unbranded ones which had noisy clunky clicks and broke quickly I finally decided to spend a bit more on this one.As soon as I opened it I could feel how much better made this mouse is. The rubber finishing rather than hard plastic is much more comfortable to hold. The click is quiet, I can use it in the library without embarrassment! The scroll wheel is smooth and the mouse is responsive (I'm not a gamer though).much better than my laptop's own trackpad which is useless. Best of all I've lost count how many times I've accidentally whacked it onto my wooden floor since I bought it in November and it still works perfectly, there's not even a scratch on its.Update - nearly a year on and plenty more floor falls later - this thing is nigh on indestructible!Update 2 - I can't emphasise enough how many times this poor mouse has hit the deck. Finally one of the little plastic catches that hold the battery cover on has snapped off. I've taped the battery cover on. Still happily using it :)

In the reviews I read of wireless mice this one appeared to me to be the best balance of price and quality.I bought it for use with a MacBook pro in clamshell mode (trying to find a cheaper alternative to the mac wireless option). It was terrible. Really jumpy and jittery, kept losing connection.I was going to try returning it, but then I took it to work and have been using it on a windows computer with brilliant success. Every afternoon, often just after lunch, it does have a little wobble, but that never lasts more than a minute or two. Otherwise, the connection is reliable and smooth. Also, as this is a window product, I make use of the windows button on the mouse, which was redundant when paired with a Mac computer. So overall, this is a great mouse, but don't buy is you are a mac person - I eventually coughed up for the mac wireless mouse, which works perfectly for me.

Excellent quality mouse. Mouse clicks are very smooth and easy and the 3D scroll wheel is also very smooth. Mouse feels comfortable in the hand and feels well built (not cheap). Mouse does have one notable issue - the nano usb adapter when put in the built in holder in the mouse does not come out unless you press a small button on the mouse to get it out. The problem is that it is not obvious to know that and think the adapter is just stuck! Not really an important point, but I notice that also it is a very quiet mouse when compared with others - the scroll wheel and the buttons clicks are all very quiet. Make sure you keep your receipt /warranty though - as I had one of these from another seller and after only 6 months or so the clicks on it were quite buggy (single left or right mouse click often resulted in being registered as a double click)

This is a little smaller than a full size mouse but bigger than a mini laptop mouse. It is chunky enough to be comfortable to use with big hands. It has a 4 way scroll wheel so it can scroll horizontally as well as vertically. The action is very precise and smooth and the buttons are good as well. There is a windows button on the mouse, so you can go straight to the tiles screen without touching the keyboard. It was made for Window 8 and will install software direct from Microsoft to enable you to program more complex control features such as macros if you want to..... or you can just use it as a mouse. Very nice bit of kit and a big computer store is selling them for under 15 squids.Well worth the money and a lot nicer to use than the bleedin built in touch pad.

This is a really good mouse. To begin with, it has a very nice design which doesn't just look good, but also is very comfortable for your hand. Another bonus is no wires. Just plug in the USB receiver, install the item in your PC (a process which takes seconds) and you're good to go. Some other neat features about this mouse are that first of all, the scroll wheel can go 5 ways (up, down, left, right and pressed), and the Windows button in the centre of the mouse. It has a very good, accurate and responsive laser and it is great for productivity (but maybe not so much for gaming). All in all this is a great 5 star mouse from Microsoft and would recommend buying it for any kind of web browsing or work that needs to be done, all for great value.

My second sculpt mouse has now failed :(These mice work well, they feel nice in the hand and are responsive too. The range is good but take care with obstacles, as I've noticed that a couple of close glasses of water can mess with the signal. The windows button is useless and I wish it could be re-programed. However it is possible to re-program the scroll button to back-click, which is what I'd use the windows button for, if it were possible.Unfortunately the low quality click switches means that each of my mice only lasted for one year and a few months of regular daily use before they started double clicking. They would not last very long at all if you're a gamer!I'd still buy an other one but only if it was cheap.

Ordered this product after reading a few reviews about it. Definitely does not disappoint, The click is soft and quiet yet gives you feedback so that you know you have clicked something with confidence. The cursor moves around quickly and accurately. In the hand it feels light but by no means flimsy. Nice shape to have your hand around, can use this mouse for hours without any hand fatigue. The scroll wheel also works well and middle clicking is satisfactory. The only thing that is missing with this product imo is a back and forward button for when you are navigating around websites and folder directories. Otherwise I am 97% satisfied with this product.

Using a laminated paper as my mouse mat. No problem. The receiver is also only 20 - 80cm away during regular use, but does go further if you needed. The middle wheel click is a bit loud and feels like a 'big' click, but works perfect. Not sure how long the rubber will last, but my last mouse did about 4 years, so expecting the same.Great durability for heavy use, dropping it a few times and generally knocking it about from clumsiness and kids. After going through so many different brands, I've ended up sticking with Microsoft because the smoothness of the mouse on screen. It's probably not the only one, but my personal preference and recommendation.

Like others said, the click is rather loud. Too clicky. Besides, I don't bother, and I'm not the one who uses it - I just sit nearby and hear it clicks. The best part of this mouse is how economical it is for battery. Few months on one battery and it's still kicking, I assume it will go for over a year. I will update this review just for curiosity, to see how long it takes to eat one Energiser. It takes usb slot on your computer, and that's not very cool, but perhaps it's better than to rely on lower quality and throughput standard Bluetooth adapter. Overall it's a good little mouse for infrequent use.Update 10 months later: battery is still OK.

Very good remote mouse and receiver consuming one AA battery at a time.Greatly improves utility of a touch screen laptop from fingers and thumbs to precision tasks. My idea of the essential extra to a well specified machine .Reasonable range.Mouse Can be switched off ,Mouse Body Can be used to store the receiver .Take care of receiver as the two items are paired for life and cannot be mixed and matched . [i.e. break one = break both; and then buy another set. ]Colour may not be to everyone's taste but its easy to find !Mouse works on almost any surface. If it drops out usual fix is either "change battery" or unplug receiver and reinsert .

This was bought for my wife for her laptop. Firstly its pink, simple, that's why she liked it. Now the serious stuff. Its very smooth on virtually any surface and moves around effortlessly. Its also very small, not too small but just right to fit perfectly under your hand as you move it around. The buttons are very responsive and when you press them you get a very satisfying, well made, CLICK. The added bonus is the windows button in blue. When you press this it activates the start button on any windows PC, a nice extra touch. We are very please with this mouse, great price and great features.

I was a little concerned that this was smaller than my wired Microsoft Mouse, but despite my shovel sized hands, it's perfectly fine, very comfortable, and accurate too. Works straight out of the box (once the dongle is plugged into your device), and easy to adjust settings for the speed, click speed and scroll wheel movement. I've had this 3+ weeks, and the Wireless connection has been flawless so far. Note that the mouse has a horizontal scrolling feature, but most Microsoft programs don't (it works fine on OneNote if you want to test it).

Really comfortable mouse despite its size. The only decent portable mouse I have ever come across. Don’t lose the usb receiver, because each mouse is locked to the receiver it came with so once that is gone, the mouse is useless. Mine came from amazon without the usb, I thought I would get one from Microsoft directly but was told the info above. Mouse is super smooth, has decent dpi, wish it was Bluetooth as to negate the usb receiver issue. Apart from that, I love it and goes with me everywhere in my backpack.

about the same size as a Wireless Mouse 3500, which we bought it to replace.the Sculpt mouse has side scroll as well as up and down, which is a step up from the 3500 which only has up and down.a good basic mouse for those with smaller hands and those who don't want a bloated button-laden "gamer" mouse.we ordered 2 mice (the other was a Wireless Mouse 4000) from the same seller, and they came as two separate packages.Odd.But a great price and fairly rapid delivery.Very pleased
