I have been using the Microsoft 5000/5050 desksets for quite a few years now and I love them. I have two, one in my home office and one at work in my office office. I'm a fairly heavy user and between them they get 8+ hours of use a day. They last well but I do tend to replace them every 18-24 months. The lettering on the keys usually starts to wear off after 9+ months with heavy use. I've also had a faulty mouse in the past. But I've never had a keyboard or mouse last forever and overall I'm pleased with how long the Microsoft sets last. Prices vary hugely so it pays to shop around or wait for Amazon offers. Really comfortable to use for long periods and a good solid key action.

Nice looking and feels good to use, except that the Escape key is way too small for something that is in constant use. Also, the wireless signal seems less reliable than the cheaper Logitech product it replaced, hence 4-stars.The key size is a straight-forward design issue of aesthetics over function and if it was just that I would still have given 5-stars, but at this price, the lack-lustre wireless signal makes me think, "am I just unlucky and this is an aberrant unit or, is it due to cheaper components?" and this is what cost Microsoft the fifth star. Could do a little better.

Great keyboard, had for a good few months now for work.Small issues:- some of the key decals have worn off (not so with other much older/more used keyboards I have)- the wireless dongle isnt exactly slimline! The amount of times I have knocked it carrying my laptop around the office... surprised my usb port is still intact (other microsoft keyboards have the smaller dongles)1 star off for the above - could do with a bit more attention to detail.Sometimes my laptop doesnt recognise the connection, so just need to reinsert the USB dongle (but guessing thats down to my laptop)

Great product dissapointing service. Unfortunately the mouse no longer works. 45 min call out through by Amazon with a promise of "Someone will contact you within 48 hours. This was followed up my an email from Amazon stating issues need to be followed up directly with Amazon. This is a great product so dissapointed to learn once it breaks that's it Even in the first year. So unsustainable oh well not impressed by service from Amazon or Microsoft it cost just understand, £50 the keyboard still works Note to self don't buy Microsoft fromAmazon as service is not to serve

I touch type and after suffering a stiff, unresponsive Logitech keyboard for 6 months decided to give up and replace it with this Microsoft keyboard. What a difference. It is used in an office environment and this ticks all the boxes bar one. No light to indicate that caps lock is on which can be a little irritating but number of useful shortcut keys balance out the disadvantage. I needed to replace the first keyboard but the seller was helpful and a refund received promptly.

Great keyboard, lots of dedicated keys for standard windows commands, configurable buttons. Very nice to type on, mouse feels solid. You need to download the 5050 Keyboard and Mouse Center to configure the buttons. It seems the buttons can only be configured for traditional windows programs instead of Windows 10 Store apps. I got this because it also has encryption which is important if you don't want anyone snooping and knowing all the passwords you type!

Have used natural/curved/ergonomic keyboards for many years. Used to suffer with RSI, which disappeared when I started using them.USB version makes it a lot easier, only uses 1 port for mouse & keyboard. This model has texture where you place your wrists, so time will tell if this is an improvement or not.Nb: if you've not used 1 before they take a little getting used to, but I'll never go back & can still use standard keyboards.

It helps put less strain on the wrists and is a sturdy keyboard and mouse. Wireless version is good and worth the cost. The downside is each keyboard is unique The mouse is difficult to replace on its own as is the keyboard so don`t loose the dongle that goes with the set.

Absolutely love this keyboard. I have very little hands . It's supportive yet easy to type. The mouse is very good quality. Love the feature keys at the top. Def worth the money!

A superb keyboard which lives up to it's name of 'Comfort'. Takes only a short time to get used to the curved layout of the keys. The rubber 'hand rest' is very apt.

Subtle ergonomic design that is a nice compromise for those who don't like the "true" ergonomic keyboards. Good quality build and overall value for the price.

It took a while to get used to the function keys, but it is ergonomically perfect, easy to install, and I have no complaints about the battery life, so far.

Just what I was looking for. If the wrist support was slight more tactile then it would be perfect. That said it does everything I wanted

This is my second set and I'm still happy. I tend to prefer the slightly curved layout and find the nominated keys once set up save time.

Used this product (and the associated mouse) for business and personal use and they are perfect for both purposes. Highly recommended.
