This game greatly exceeded my expectations! The graphics, while not jaw-dropping, were still very nice. More importantly, the gameplay was just superb - heavy on the action with fun combo moves and a bit of exploration to find all the hidden goodies. I have read several reviews on various websites that spoke of the high level of difficulty (which scared me away from getting this game until recently), but I found the difficulty to be absolutely perfect - challenging enough that I felt a sense of accomplishment from beating the levels (except the bosses which hardly put up a fight, strangely enough),

Nephews and I had Maximo "Ghost to Glory", but was lost. We enjoyed the challenging levels, bosses and very nice touch to the graphics, so I checked Amazon and found the first Maximo and happily discovered the Second in the series- Maximo vs. "Army of Zin" I was thrilled to see it for sale by one Amazon vendor and purchased it as well. As in the first game, "Army of Zin" is packed with fun graphics and continues the tale of the lead character's challenge now along with Grim with more weapons and cool power-ups battle an army of Ghouls to save the villagers!

Maximo vs. Army of Zin is a prime example of how a sequel should be done. When I played the Ghosts to Glory demo from a PS magazine and then finally rented the game and played it, I was very surprised when I was in GameCrazy and saw this game on the shelf (quite a few years ago) the game is a major upgrade to the first title in all aspects of gameplay, graphics, camera (especially the camera!) and power ups!

I bought this game based on reviews and am very pleased. Reminds me of MediEvil for PS1, but the combat is more fun and the levels are way less complicated. It does lack some of the thrill of other similar titles, but makes up for it with charming atmosphere and visual polish.
