Mario Golf has always been great fun and this latest version keeps that trend going. The GameBoy Advance game introduced an element of character development which was brilliant. This is the only thing missing from MG:WT 3DS that I think would have been beneficial. The rest of the game is virtually spot on with plenty of characters to play as or against, loads of customisation options and enough courses, (although some need butying as additional downloadable content), and brilliant on-line play. There is enough content to keep you playing for months and months. One of my favourites is the addition of challenges which unlock extra characters and difficulty levels.

I just feel the need to clear up what another reviewer stated when in theirreview they said there were only 3 courses. There are 3 (18 hole) coursesin a short-ish career mode (6-7 hours approximately) however outside of thatthere are 6 additional courses of 9 holes each.Whilst I'd argue that those 6 additional courses should really be 18 holeseach there are still 108 holes to play in total in over 4 gameplay modes,those being stroke play, match play, speed golf and point play as well asa very good range of specific challenges.There is no withheld content. There is a season pass available for £13.49(or £5 for 2 courses) for 6 more courses that have been taken and upgradedfrom previous Mario Golf games each containing 18 holes each should youchoose to download them.

Birthday present for a 14 yo who is an avid gamer but still loves casual gaming on his DS. He said he loves the game and he's played it for hours and not completed it - which is a good sign I suppose!My opinion is also that it is great. Basically, you play within Princess Peach's Castle Club. You establish a handicap by playing in a handicap tournament and then participate in the main 18 hole courses of Forest, Seaside and Mountain. Each one having their own characteristics and hazards etc. It is, quite surprisingly, one of the best (and most fun) golf games I've played. You have to take wind conditions in to account with your shots. The CPU doesn't let you win. Each time you turn it on,

Without a doubt this has to be the very best golf sim for the 2DS/3DS. I can't find a single negative thing to say about it and IMHO knocks the other 2 golf offerings out of the ring! The physics of the balls movement are right on the money, unlike the other 2 where they are just awful. At first I was a bit out off by the fact that Nintendo had used it own cast of players ie Mario, Luigi etc and not the current stage of 'pro's', but I'm so glad it did not stop me going ahead and buying it because they all add a certain charm to a truly great game! I can't honestly think that anybody could be disappointed with this purchase.

I was gonna get the old Gamecube mario golf game but I decided to get this version instead. It has Diddy Kong so the game already gets tons of points from me.What I also really enjoy is that if you hit the ball and it's gonna land in the Rough then itl show your character face palming with a voice line or something, and I find that pretty funny as well as a nice polish/addition to the game.Wha kinda pervs me is that it's clear that some content is cut JUST to be dlc, such as Nabbit Rosalina and Toadette as well as the fact courses come with the characters or vice versa.The product that arrived gets full stars but the game only gets like 4 out of 5 stars.TL; DR it has Diddy Kong and Boo as characters AND Waluigi.

first of let me say im not usually a fan of golf games in general, but tried the demo and took a chance. and i am glad i did, this game is full of the charm you would expect from nintendo and it is a great deal of fun.easy to pick but hard to master, there is alot to do within the game, the challenges and championships not too mention the online tournaments which come in a variety of courses and skills. some tournaments created by popular websits such as nintendolife and ign.if this game isnt on your buy list i would say that you need to rethink that and take a chance.

I tried the demo with little expectations, but this changed once I started to play this demo.This is yet another quality Nintendo game!It's a shame they are so unerrated and bashed with the 'more popular' Playstation and Xbox.I have both playstation, Wii U and 3DS.Nintendo just delivers te best gaming experiences,even after all those years.

Got this new mario game today and I love it,you can even use your mii in this game,fun and enjoyable, lots in this game play on your own, with friends and even with other people round the world, well worth the money

Very good game. Has a story mode unlike Mario Tennis. Lots of customisation. Hours and hours of fun. Multiplayer pass and play so you only need one 3DS which is great. Would recommend.

If you loved Nintendo's past golf games, you will love this!There is some DLC to get all of the courses but I have had so much use from it, I really don't mind.

Very happy with it. Came really quick and in very good conditions. Can be very recomended. Came two games and the nintendo for a very, very good price.

Got this for my 3 year old for christmas & he can play it without issue. Sometimes he gets quite a few over par but he doesn't care!

Great Nintendo golf game. My son has played it non stop since buying it and I've had a few goes as well. Good fun game.
