I'm normally skeptical of PS One remakes; their seems to be a vast array of games that just haven't worked in the current generation of gaming, namely down to over-production. However, I was taken completely by surprise as to just how good this Playstation 3 version is!I've been a huge fan of E.G 1 and 2 for years and, luckily, could still play them on my Playstation 3. Needless to say though, after a round of golf on World Tour, I've been addicted since. The game amazes me in that while it seems to have become simpler, it offers bundles more options than the originals, and if you've played the originals then many of those standard features, including the two-click Power Bar,are still present. The fact that this game includes new features which actually work are an example of how to improve an already great product. One such feature, 'Advanced Shots', offers an incredibly more in-depth way of producing different shots from just a few clicks if you fancy a real challenge! Not forgetting of course the Online mode, which is a radically different experience from the norm. It's not short on content either. The 1 GB installation proves a point on it's own, but the number of courses, challenges, and tournaments available make this something you'll be playing for months and still needing to unlock/complete everything. And that's not forgetting the amount of Downloadable content too - a favorite of mine so far is a Prehistoric-Dinosaur themed course pack! You can even download Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet) as a character!Graphically, I've saddled this up side-by-side with Tiger Woods PGA at a friends and World Tour wins hands down; something of a big surprise. The attention to detail, from individual blades of grass, perfectly formed golf balls, dirty/worn pot-holes and even ladybirds landing on the ball, this is a truly amercing game. The physics are fantastic too, which I couldn't really say even for Tiger Woods. Maybe its just me, but the ball just didn't seem to roll very realistically when it landed...An unusual criticism I have, though it's becoming ever more common with games these days, is the amount of Downloadable content or Updates required that are not on the disc. As an example, the Online mode currently requires two 1.2 GB updates upon first playing, which took me almost 4 hours for both. The only other niggle is that theirs no Trophy support, because this game was made before the support was really perfected in terms of programming (according to a spokesman).Summing up, I think this is the best value Playstation 3 game on the market when it comes to the entertainment factor, content, and simplicity. I even took it round to a friend who owns Tiger Woods PGA, and he admitted himself that this is a much more entertaining game.(P.S - Multiplayer mode still offers the funny 'voices' by pressing buttons on your pad when someone else is taking a shot!)

I've been a fan of this type of golf for sometime now. I owned the PS1 and PS2 versions and so naturally purchased the PS3 one.1. This isn't TIGER and was never meant to create anything similar. The physics and graphics are not supposed to be 'lifelike'. EGWT has always been cartoonesque. This makes it both fun and interesting.2. The online mode is done very well. The only drawback that I found was that some of the tournaments (up to 50 players) can take sometime in slow and very slow mode. This allows a certain amount of time for each hole played and in these modes you can finish the hole and be sitting doing nothing for a minute or two. It certainly makes things interesting when you trying to beat a player from the other side of the world,or your mates sofa!3. Playability is now available in either the traditional swing bar at the bottom of the screen or by using advanced swing, which allows for a slightly more realistic take on a golf swing.4. The graphics are superb. The grass looks real (even to the extent of sun browning) and the environments are top notch. The safari course is worthy of mention.5. The sound is by far the only let down. Plinky plonky tunes that get on your nerves and voice overs that sound cheesey and vague. This is understandable as the port comes from a well known series of Japanese golf games and it's developed with that market in mind in particular. The longevity is harnessed to this market, with rewards and costumes being given for good gameplay, allowing extra characters and courses to be introduced over a steady period of time.If you are heavily into TIGER or want to experiment with a different type of golf game, then EGWT is a worthy addition to your PS3 collection.

Ok no past experience of Everybody's Golf (so can't compare to previous incarantations), I used to always get Tiger Woods series until I felt the changes each year didn't justify the outlay. I also thought it was a bit too easy.So I decided to try this out and its hooked me. The gameplay, the humour, the graphics (I'll explain later). Its been many a year since I've had marathon gaming sessions spent on one game. Its such an easy game to play, with many different levels of difficulty - if you can't nail a straight shot each time-just go for a set of clubs that guarantees perfect impact every time- however you won't hit it as far.The graphics-yes the players are cartoony, but the courses are lush, the water effects are superb (reminded me of the water in Drake uncharted). The trees are lush with different foliage, colours and types of leaves are very crisp and much more detailed than Tiger Woods. The bunkers again display great detail. As the sand comes up and hits my player in the face in the follow through, I almost find myself wiping my face.My experience of online -so far - has been very enjoyable- very intuitive user interface. The tournament golf online has up to 50 players-great fun- and quickly found out I'm not very good- but even if your last- you can get your name up in lights for a long put or chip in.I also played an online game with 6 other players- you all play at once with your opposition semi-transparent-great fun.Whether you take golf seriously or not, i think this is a must have addition to anyone's game collection.

This game could be overlooked as nothing but a kids game but in fact what we have here is one of the best golf games ever. The gameplay is fantastic, even more realistic than Tiger. No mystical after shot spin and you do not know the wind speed until after you drive (you can look at the environment or drop some grass and watch it fall as an indicator). The advanced controls are brilliant, much more realistic than the normal controls and the very decent putting system is challenging but rewarding. The courses, though not numerous (only slight downfall) are all fictional and are brilliantly designed mixing beauty with challenge with some great touches within them. The characters in the game are charming, cutesy Japanese style animated characters each with their own personality querks. You can build up their profiles and aquire new gear for them and they make the game even more fun than it already is.I haven't been online yet but it is highly rated by all critics including 50 player tournaments, i can't wait. There is downloadable content too including a new course for just £2.99.In conclusion Tiger Woods is a very good game which takes itself very seriously, this is an excellent game which wants you to have as much fun as possible and it delivers. This game is a hell of a lot more fun than Tiger woods and just as rewarding, in fact the funny thing is that if you are wanting an accurate golf sim then i think this tops those stakes too.If you like golf games, have in the past or have an urge try then this is a must have game.

Having played the PSP versions , I downloaded the free demo from the Playstation site and suitably impressed I sent off for it and was pleased I did. It makes a nice change from the Killzone 3 / Black Ops frantic gameplay. As this is now an "older" game it did take a while for the online updates to load ( typical of any older PS3 game ) so I could go online , the site was cute but it did'nt explain how to get a quick game going. So no 5 stars but 4 and a half , with a half knocked off for confusing on line play ( I still havent worked it out but I am old ). So a colourful ( in a very cutesy twee Japanese stylee ) easy to play , hard to master game , not to boast but ,I even managed a hole in one after two days playing it!! which is a first in any golf game of this type for me.No multi kills or frag festival, although you can rank up and upgrade your weapons ( well golf sticks and balls ) so a nice change , and thats as good as a rest in my books.

This is an exceptionally fun game. The game oozes charm on all levels and is highly addictive mainly because you have so much fun playing it. There are unavoidable camparisons with Tiger Woods games, and i have to say I have more fun playing Everybody's Golf as Tiger seems a little like hard work at times. I also think that I prefer the control in EG because you set up your shot deciding on power, direction and spin and then there is a tense wait to see where your ball finishes up - Tiger allows you to suddenly put on loads of spin mid-air to try and correct a misjudged shot (obviously I use it all the time playing Tiger, but it does seem like cheating).Other things I like include not knowing the wind speed until after the first drive and the lack of a putting guide. EG, under a very cutsey exterior, is a brilliant and, dare I say it, in some ways a technically more realistic golf game than Tiger Woods. Oh, it is also huge fun!!

Im not a great game expert but i couldn't wait for this Everybody's Golf The World Tour PS3 to be released, I just loved the old one (for PSP).However, I have been a little disppointed with this new game - it has gotten rid of some great features from the old game. You no longer win items to dress your golfers up you just win golf clubs, balls and caddies. And the side game of putting no longer exists.Online I have found to be good fun - you can invite friends to private games or join in on tournaments. You can win different outfits for your online character which makes up for not winning those items in the normal game. The graphics are great, the new courses are good fun (especially aiming for animals on the safari course!)and there are lots of characters to pick from.So overall: buy it, play it, like it - but don't expect the excellence of the old Everybody's Golf.

You got a PS3? If you have then you have to be online, you know the free service which takes Sonys black box to another level? Well next gen grafix this aint got but it has game play in spades. Basically its the psp version with bells on. Sometimes you have to play a game for the sheer joy rather than ballsy breathtaking visuals. I loved this game on the psp & downloaded the demo off PSN which didnt fail to impress. Along with all the usuals it also boasts a massive 50 player online match where you can progress up the leader boards. This will be a staple on my PS3 for the forseeable future. I bought my PS3 for the online joy which it delievrs in spades. COD4 is a joy & this will be too.As soon as they get Pro Evo 08 sorted it'll be the dogs.

If your a fan of arcade titles or fun multiplayer titles, then this game NEEDS to be in your collection. An excellent masterpiece of an arcade game, basicaly ticks all the boxes, the graphics are exactly what you'd expect, they are cartoony and unrealistic.. just like the gameplay (that isnt a bad thing). The gameplay itself is just easy to learn, basically, it's just a press X at the right time affair, this isn't a bad thing, as I don't want aload of extensive golf knowledge just to play this. If I wanted to do that, i'd probably pick up a PGA Tour game or whatever they are these days. This game really shines in multiplayer, it's pretty much born for it, either way, if your not a fan of Golf, you might actually end up enjoying this game.

This is a great fun golf game featuring cutsey anime characters and simple controls.By all means go sim style and get tigger woods but if you want a light hearted golf game that is easy to play but difficult to master get this. It doesn't take itself seriously and you rank up as you progress. Graphics are not great but perfectly acceptable as is the sound. Just stick a CD on and relax.Only downside is that you only get access to one course initially and a couple of characters. You need to unlock more as you progress. However, there are plenty of championships and events to play.I does have an on-line service but I thought it was dull and you usually have to wait ages to get a game.

What a great game.Unlike other Golf titles Everybody's Golf keeps you interested by increasing game options the more you play. The more tournaments you win adds different characters, which all have different traits/characteristics.Also as the title implies Everybody wants to play from children to adults .The control system is quite easy to master. As you become more adept you can make shots that have backspin and also fade and pull shots.Have purchased other golf titles previously and can honestly say you cannot beat EG for gameplay.Well worth the money.

Not normally a golf fan, but this game is brilliant. So much fun and so addictive. It doesn't take itself too seriously but the game play is still great, and simple! Its great fun unlocking new gear etc. Online play is great, not played too much online as still going through single player but playing against friends is great!Since theres not that many games out for the PS3 right now this is a must have for any collection.

Playing this game is something special. From the moment that you know that it's not that easy to find it, you know you've got something special in your hands. Moreover, it's become kind of a cult game! And the gameplay, wonderful, with a fantastic learning curve and a rewarding experience eventually. The online is cboth challenging and difficult and people in the game are really nice.Play it now! you won't repent!

If I wanted to play real style golf I'd go and play the real thing, Not on a wii. This is a great game that all the family can play and enjoy all together and it doesn't spoil your REAL style of the golf that the wii could do.Graphics are fun and quirky, online games are fun and rewards are silly little outfits etc .. nice and fun.Its a game thats got long playability. Recommended.

I like this game but it drives my partner mad as you have to play so many games to open up the various courses. I am quite happy to do this but my partner lacks a little patience and just wants to get on with playing a round of golf. Depends on the individual I suppose!
