as a builder ive used many types and makes of nail gun, they all have good and bad points so you need to be balanced. for a cordless type its good, the punch holes are so tiny and neat (the best), the balance is better than the dewalt too. the light is not as good as many others as its to the side so a little point less. ive not had a jam yet but thats when its like a tacwise wereby you have to undo bolts to the front to remove unlike the tool-less change of dewalt, milwaukee or even paslode. its got a lot of power for a cordless and goes through hardwoods better than others. easy set depth, and the bump (multi nailing)

Couldn’t find many reviews on this tool and the ones I could find were not particularly glowing to the extent I nearly changed my mind and went with DeWalt however, having received the nailer and some brads I tried out the nailer on some lengths of Oak. A 2” brad was easily sunk all the way into seasoned oak. So far only fired a couple of dozen brads but with no misfires etc. So far very happy with my purchase. I can see what professional tradesmen comment on regarding balance of the tool however at present I have no plans on using it to that extent. Giving only four stars as not had enough experience with the tool to truly know its capabilities.

I am a Makita fan and procrastinated for ages over a brad nailer or pin nailer or even a full on nailer (gosh my life must be boring!) Any way as a sole trader I wanted a good brand, interchangeable batteries and something with a more varied usage. Owing to the good variant of sizes this machine takes (nails) I punted for this brad nailer with the thought that it could also do more delicate pin work too. It's a powerful and heavy gun, so probably more useful for heavier work IMO. I wanted it mainly for feather edge fencing and DIY.

It's good bit of kit but it struggles with 50mm nails on hardwood doesn't fire them all the way if putting door stops on for example.. but all in all a good nailer rapid fire works well.. only otherbad point is its quitebottem heavy but doesn't really effect use... not as powerful as gas gun but does the job and cheaper too...

Bought this brad gun and already used it quite a lot and I have to say its awesome, you get some people mentioning how it doesnt fare well with certain hardwoods, well maybe so, but for skirting, cupboards and framework it does an amazing job, I love it

I have just built a sauna using this, it's had over 2000 32mm stainless steel brads through it and not once a misfire.It's a little bit heavy for ceiling work but in general it is a great bit of kit.Another Makita product in my collection.

I ordered 2 of these initiallyOne was a gift for my sonMine works beautifully and I'm really happy with itHowever for some reason my sons nailer is misfiring and keeps jammingWill have to contact Makita as its under warranty still

I think makita have upped their game on this modelI had one identical until it was stolen last week and seems to work a lot better than the last

Not as fast or as light as a air nail gun but for that quick job just grab pins battery and away you go .
