I bought a very basic Staple Gun back in the mid 90's, just a simple and basic one. Wow, this is streets ahead of that one (although the other one is still going strong). What I like about this Tacwise is:-* Very easy to load the staples* Underneath the loading magazine, it clearly shows the user where to put Tacs or Pins* There is a little window up the front end so that the user can see when the staples, pins or tacs are about to run out* There is power adjustment lever so when using 6-8mm use '-' and when using 10mm and bigger, set the little lever to "+"* There is a margin adjustment device (although I admit I did not try it)* Locking the stapler for safety is quick and easy* The professional user is not forgotten in that there is a belt hook and a place where they can put their name,so as to know if a colleague has borrowed it. * * Also useful for any students at college so they can identify their tools. It is a heavy, sturdy feeling tool and with the nice bright orange top, shows up easily in the tool box or cupboard. I am just an older woman using it and have to admit that since breaking my wrist in 2013 am very careful not to do anymore damage. Subsequent to this, I did find that when using this Staple Gun in an upright position on the garden fence I needed to use both hands to squeeze the trigger. Using it face down was no problem though. To be fair to the product I do not use these sort of tools very often and like anything else DIY, the more you do it the easier it becomes. Any awkwardness I feel is down to my lack of expertise and hand strength, rather than any problem with the product. The Tacwise Stapler comes with a little multilingual User Guide Leaflet written in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The Guarantee is in 2 parts.* There is a 1 month (28 days) Guarantee under which the product can be returned should the customer not be completely satisfied with the performance or it is faulty or damaged on receipt. There is the option for a refund or exchange on the production of the original purchase receipt.* There is a 3 year standard Warranty should the tool become defective due to faulty materials or workmanship. Proof of purchase has to be provided and obviously there are exclusions as there is with every Warranty.

Bought this to replace a years-old all-metal stapler that stopped working. The gun comes in a strong plastic bubble pack that can be prised open and re-used. So far I have used the tool for fixing plastic netting to fence panels. A certain amount of hand pressure is needed to operate it, but I was expecting this and in fact it requires a little bit less than I was used to with my old one. The staples seem to go in further, too. The orange colour make it easy to spot when you leave it laying around.I must agree with previous reviewers that the locking lever is flimsy, it required quite a hard push to get it into position and I really was afraid of breaking it. My solution: I leave it unlocked. It is also true that the operating lever does not open quite fully enough to fire the next staple, but I have developed a technique of either pushing it up with the thumb of the hand holding the gun, or flicking it up with the fingers of my free hand. It's a bit of a workaround, and I would tather not have to do it, but it has become so automatic that I hardly notice I'm doing it. My hands are large, so handling the stapler is not a problem for me, though I imagine anyone with small hands might find operating it less easy.I have read reviews and answers on this and similar Tacwise models which state that the staple are standard size, and I would dispute that. The d.i.y. store ones I used in my old stapler are a fraction too wide to fit this one, so I am going to have to throw away those I have left and buy the Tacwise ones. UPDATE: I have since found that the ones for Wickes staple guns fit this Tacwise model.

Basically this is as good as it gets for a non-powered, hand held staple gun and tacker. The unit has a great ergonomic feel, a sturdy and robust finish which gives the impression that the gun is built to last and many other features which go above and beyond the run of the mill staple gun. In terms of performance the gun has an adjustable power lever which when turned to max can easily sink 1/4" staples below the surface of plywood, however the ability to adjust the power makes this an equally versatile tool for dealing with softer woods or more delicate tasks such as attaching netting to fencing boards. In terms of additional features the gun has a hook on the side which is a nice addition if you're tacking up insulation or a job that may require two hands on occasion. It also has a trigger lock which allows you to nest the trigger in the closed position which is great for safety but also is especially helpful for storing the gun in a tool box where it'll take up less space and is less likely to grab onto whatever other stuff you may have lurking! Another feature which impressed is the ability to see how many staples you have left without removing the cover...simply flip the gun upside down, pull the slider out and viola...see how many staples remain. It may lack the sheer power of most electric staple guns, but bearing in mind the gun can drive several 9/16" nails into solid 5/8" ply, is infinitely more portable and less expensive, then the Tacwise Z3-140 has to be the only choice within this price bracket, 5 stars!

This is a fantastic staple gun and a breeze to use. I previously bought one of those cheap lower priced staple guns from 3rd party sellers that all look the same with the screw bolt thing on top and it was horrible, a pain to use, so many misfires and stuck staples, difficult, and your hand starts to hurt very quickly. The Tacwise on the other hand is so easy to use, need far less strength to use and can staple on and on with no pain, smooth all the way down as you push it and when it fires it's very powerful and you can increase and decrease the power, and i've had no misfires where the staples get stuck, all came out and hit their target.I've found many random uses and fixed things including a divan bed base which would have gone in the bin otherwise (replaced top old sinking greyboard layer with 6mm Plywood and stapled it down around the edges after raising the central support structures of the bed with 6mm offcuts to even and firm up the divan top as it's going with a new pocket sprung mattress, again, stapled down). If i didn't have the Tacwise staple gun i wouldn't have even thought of doing this and if i did, i would have used small nails which would have taken forever.Fantastic purchase and even though i don't use it regularly, i know it will come in use over the years for a whole host of random jobs as it already has. Be sure to buy some staples, i bought some Tacwise 8mm and 12mm myself and it comes with 200 x 6mm which were very useful for me as well.

Being a cabinet maker a good hand stapler is always a tool to have to hand, this Tacwise staple gun is a welcome addition to my kit.The first thing I noticed about this tool is it's build quality which looks solid and robust, the handle is well placed and is fairly easy to use, remember this is a non powered stapler so takes a little effort to fire.Upon testing with the supplied 6mm staples I found the stapler put them in nice and flush with the surface, this was using the lower strength setting as recommended, I used a piece of 2mm thick hardwood onto mdf, the staples certainly got hold.I then moved onto the nail side of the machine, as luck would have it I had some 15mm nails from a previous machine kicking around that fits this machine,so found some scraps and turned the strength up to full and tested, results were good, the only fault being that firing the nails directly into the FACE of 18mm moisture resistant MDF caused them not to be driven home fully , this is to be expected from a hand staple gun and is not a fault. This stapler can also fire network cable/telephone cable staples.Another feature of this gun is the adjustable fence guide, this is great for keeping a parallel line of staples from the edge of a cupboard ETC, this guide is removable so could easily get lost. This machine is worth its place in any workshop or DIYers kits, well made and designed it should provide many years of use.

Pretty good, but not perfect.SUPER USEFUL for DIY stuff.PROS:It's lightweight.Has plenty of punch, so the staples go in very well. Some woods are hard enough to prevent the staple going in all the way.I've gone through a 1200 pack of staples and it still looks and works like new.I was originally looking at getting some similar nice ones from Dewalt and Milwaukee, but both were not easy to find in Europe.Super easy to put more tacks in. And the slider thing is connected so it doesn't get lost like on some other staplers.CONS:The pocket clip is too short. It's great to have, but does not secure the device very well to the belt or pocket. It feels like it could very easily fall off.The lock is very flimsy. It doesn't go to the locked position very easily (the handle has to be in the exact correct position) and it can unlock very easily.Requires a decent amount of hand force to use, which is understandable because you need to put energy in to get energy out, but it means this probably won't be easy to use for the elderly, where I guess an electric staple gun might be a better option. Conclusion:Better than any other one I could easily get hold of, and I'm happy with it until I find something better.

This is a really effective stapler. It is a robust tool with a very powerful staple action if required. It feels very well built in the hand and takes a variety of staples, which are accommodated not only as a physical capability but also in that you can adjust the power of the staple for optimum results. In use it found this extremely competent, being able to staple directly into hard wood, plaster and pine with little problem. The action is positive, fast and not too tiring on the hand. The stapler weighs about 600g fully loaded. The power of the stapler, at full, can be quite damaging to softer materials so it's wise to experiment with the power settings until you understand what it can do.It comes with a few hundred "standard" staples, a sort of heavier duty version of the office staple for paper which are quite useful for things like heavy fabric and hardboard. It's a versatile tool but the head is a little large which may present problems if you want to use it in confined spaces or into tight corners. Either way I'm really impressed and this has replaced my old staple gun. Recommended.

I've never owned a staple gun before - but I've borrowed a fair few over the years! They are one of those tools that when you need them nothing else will do - but you always forget until the next job comes along just how useful they are. This model from Tacwise is the best I have used by far and is perfect for many jobs around the home and garden - and tough enough for professional use in many applications. You get enough staples provided with the gun to get you going, but if look at Amazon's "Frequently Bought Together" section you may wish to add the staple selection and nail pack to your order so you are well prepared once you find all the outstanding jobs that need doing! There are loads more options in the "Also Bought" section - something suitable for every job.If you are looking for a good quality staple gun tacker then this one from Tacwise is currently offered at a good price by Amazon and should meet, or exceed, all your expectations. A really handy tool I'm extremely pleased to have in my toolbox - I'll hopefully never have to borrow one again!

This is my second stapler. The first one was a toolzilla, which worked fine for nearly three years but broke a few days ago, so I decided to try another brand and the price for this was good. I only use the stapler 10 times or so per year, but for planters and raised beds, so quite a lot of stapling on hard wood involved.I have to say I am very pleased. It is a bit heavy but the mechanism is easier to operate than my previous one.The "linear power curve" thing is not a gimmick as I expected, I can use it one handed if I need to, and I do not need to press it down heavily. So applying staples to vertical or slightly bendy surfaces is possible. The loading mechanism is very easy to open and close too.Yesterday I ran through all the provided staples (which are not a lot,to be clear) and it only failed twice, which is much better that I can say for my previous one.Admitting if it is durable, which I cannot say yet, it is worth definitely 5 stars from me.

Weighty and well made, this little gizmo is ideal for heavy-duty stapling of materials like plastic and upholstery fabric, maybe very thick card too, though definitely not for lightweight crafting or paper. You need a fair bit of pressure to fire the gun, but it staples very cleanly and neatly indeed when it does go off. This is a serious piece of kit - googles are advised - and it has a safety lock mechanism and appropriately scoldy instructions! The only downside relates to the packaging which is the standard plastic clamshell nightmare that you pretty much have to destroy to get open - still, I imagine most people will be popping this straight into a toolbox, so maybe that's not such a big deal. The instructions for loading are easy to follow, though I would have preferred a BIGGER FONT and please save paper by not giving me versions in French, Spanish and Swahili or whatever. One star off for that. Overall, a pretty impressive piece of kit.

My existing well-worn staple gun is lightweight and was not up to the re-upholstering job I was undertaking as it failed to adequately drive the staples into the chair frames. The Tacwise Professional Staple/Nail Tacker is a positive heavyweight alongside my earlier domestic one. It is made of solid cast material and seems very well engineered. It comes complete with a limited supply of 6 mm staples but will handle 8, 10,12 and 14mm staples, including cable staples. In addition it takes nails and headless pins. The Tacwise is a professional staple gun with belt hook, safety lock and has the advantage over many other guns of having a power adjuster for more solid material, and a clever removable, adjustable margin edge guage. As it says, the Tacwise is ideal for carpet and underlay, display and shopfitting, upholstery, fabrics and blinds, trellis, netting and wire fencing, roofing and insulation. An excellent quality product.

I've already repaired the base of an irritating & long term slippery ironing board base cover. In the past. there have been several occasions when upholstery has come adrift & a quick, invisable staple could have prevented further problems. The stapler has clear, essential guidelines on safety and operating systems and will definitely be a well-used tool. It has a very handy measuring gauge to ensure an even and more professional finish. Inserting the staple bar was quick and simple and my first use was surprisingly good, providing a neat, strong and discreet finish and solving a long-term problem. Our dining room chairs will be given a much-needed face lift for Christmas with the invaluable help of this stapler. For me,the main disadvantage was the overall weight and the strength required to overcome the the stiffness when operating.

A great staple gun. Tacwise (not to be confused with Tacklife) make good quality fixers. With the ability to adjust the pressure, this will fire staples or brad nails into wood, plastic and some masonry substrates.I have used it many many times and it’s never jammed or failed to fire.Easy to load. It does need a certain amount of strength on the hardest setting, but consequently the extra fire power will fix into harder woods. It comes with a plastic margin adjuster that clips to the bottom of the gun. When I first got it, I thought I'd never bother using this, but I do, very often, and it's really useful for getting uniform fixings every time.Overall, this is a really good quality manual staple gun that has proven to be very reliable.Recommended.I hope you found this review helpful.

This is an amazing tool; I have used it for pinning double glazing strips (plastic holders with brushes to make the seal and keep out the draft) into sash windows. I was using the stainless steel staples in order to avoid the rusting that the previous workmen had set up using standard panel pins. To my surprise it went in almost the whole way through the hard plastic and into the wood. I would ideally like to give it 4 1/2 stars as it is difficult to situate the staple really precisely as there has to be some space between the front and the staple and the sides - some brilliant device for making it easier to see where that point of entry is would make it super-excellent. Incidentally, the tool has a lovely firm feel to it -- a real pleasure to use with the one slight proviso.

Great product, high quality, well made professional staple gunWhich is easy to use and designed for prolonged use. Will also fire nails as well as staples, and you can get stainless steel staples as well.Ideal for any upholstery, underlay, cable fastening, poster displays or as in my case fence repair it is a useful tool to add to any toolkit.I understand you can nail boards with this, although I have not tested how well it performs this task.I found you need quite a lot of strength to operate and after a while my hands were quite sore but I stress I am not a professional and don't use this for a living.Has an adjustable guide to help with straight lines and a belt hook if you find this helpful.Really impressive, solid, well made tool that I can happily recommend.
