I’ve been through several cheapo high street plastic housing staple guns over the last few years. The final straw was trying to felt the roof of a new shed. It jammed and then I ran out of staples and decided enough was enough.. time for a grown up tool!First things first, this is a sturdy staple gun. Metal construction and. A good size. If you have small hands it may be a 2 handed device.I have to admit I had to look up Brad nails. I bought 1000 and they are pretty darn good for tacking. The staples themselves are so much better than my old one too. The sturdier build and stronger action means it’ll power a staple deep with no fear of it popping out.All in all I’m impressed with the move.Perhaps I should just be cross at trying to cut corners before but I think I’ll get some good mileage from my Fatmax.A couple of nice features that aren’t obvious in the description. The belt loop clip can be unscrewed and put on the other side meaning left and right handers get treated the same! There’s also a little hole near the business end so you can see when your staples are running low. Finally it’s good to see the compatibility stamped on the side too for reordering without digging out the long gone instructions. Now, what else can I staple!

WHOA! Staple away! I bought it to reupholster my dining chairs, which I haven't got round to doing yet, BUT I instead re-lined a large kids sandpit and let me tell you this is one cool piece of kit. It's my first ever staple gun, so I can't compare it to anything, but as a stand alone feedback on it - I think it should do the job if you need something stapling! I've only used it with staples (not with brats yet), but this was easy and fast to figure out. I bought the Stanley staples as suggested on Amazon, of 2 different sizes. The handle is a bit stiff and it might seem as if there's a lock on to stop you from pressing it - check the little safety clip under the handle is not engaged. If it's off, then be brave and push harder (while holding against something, because it will shoot the staple out if it's loaded. Don't be tempted to look at it from underneath while pressing it if it's loaded!I think every woman should have one of these in her tool box!

Prior to purchasing this stapler, I made the huge mistake and buying an Arrow 12V cordless stapler - what a piece of junk! Started 'misfiring' after a few days of using it, don't think they make them anymore. So was on the look out for a quality / affordable manual stapler, and the Stanley FatMax 6TR350 is definitely it. Been stapling multi-foil insulation to roof rafters, and it has never missed a beat, very pleased indeed, very high quality construction and feel. The earlier comment about the handle being to hard to press is not a problem at all to me. In fact I prefer this over having to hold the gun hard against a surface, like you have to with some lighter staplers.I think the only tiny criticism I can find is when using upside down, the small catch to keep the trigger down when not in use (?), tends to catch on. I soon removed it so now no problem.

I use this frequently at work as a prop maker. I bought this one specifically as I needed something that would really hammer the staples in, as its normally woods I'm using this on. It does the job fantastically as far as thats concerned, However it seems to jam quite frequently. Although I have been using this a great deal recently. Couldn't tell you if thats just my precious staple slammer or a more common problem. Thats the only reason its not got 5 stars. Its certainly not enough of an issue to make me regret buying this. Also the fact you can also use brads in this is a really great and useful feature.

Have used it a few times, it's good although the nails don't always insert correctly but maybe I need more practice.Despite contacting Amazon, the manufacturer and the seller about non-English instructions (several weeks ago) - still not heard anything. I know it's not difficult to use a stapler, but inserting the staples/nails can be difficult if you've never used a heavy duty one before. Checked out YouTube for this.

I have limited experience of staplers, but compared to the B&Q item it replaced it's far superior. Action is smooth, and staples are ejected firmly into wood with no jams or failures. I see others have said the handle is difficult to press but I found it fine to use. I bought it with the Stanley staples so I don't know if other make staples will be reliable. I'll continue using the Stanley staples rather than have jams.

Great stapler - not powerful enough to go through MDF or hardwoods like oak but thats not waht i bought it for. Seems bulletproof. Had it 4 or 5 years with no troubles other than the odd jammed staple or brad. Mechanism is solid and loading/unloading very simple and quick. Happy stapling after 2 failed mains operated(stanley) staplers with faulty trigger solanoids. Cant go wrong with a well built manual stapler.

Just received the item. As other reviews state no English instructions but didn't take long to figure out how to load. Firm push down on the handle and hey presto 15mm nail embedded in the wood. Just be wary not to buy 25mm nails associated as others have bought alongside this item as the max it will accept is 15mm. I feel this is unclear in the description for the item, hence the title.

What can I say until I buy this one I've tried and had quite few one and I am very happy with it. It is very well made, real heavy duty, you can tackle any job with ease. It is a bit big and when I first received it I was like no it will be hard to work with it. Anyway I gave it a go and I was very surprised. Very easy to use and my hands are not that big. Good buy

This product arrived within the time given. I had never used one before but new it would not be difficult. There was an instruction paper with it and had 16 different languages except ENGLISH!! I could not press the handle down and only after watching YouTube discovered how to use it. It does work well but feel that the instructions let the product down

really well made think it will last a good length of time haven't tried it work wise yet though,it is heavy duty feels like it could crack coconuts but I do agree with the other buyers the fact that it doesn't come with English instructions is idiotic but if your used to using similar staplers it shouldn't be any trouble!

Got this for my dad on fathers day and was nervous about the quality as the price is much cheaper than other nail guns. Stanley is a well known brand and my dad (who is an expert in these kind of things) said it was very heavy duty. This is perfect and I say grab it while you can for the amazing price that it is

Really good sturdy staple gun however when I was using it upside down I did have a bit of a job pressing it against some wood I was stapling. I still managed but I am over 60 so perhaps I should stop getting underneath caravans to staple things up??? I think it will last a lot longer than my last one.

Big gun. Whacks staples away easily. Staples have less penetration. Nails are more suitable. Used this to install 8 ikea wardrobes in our new house. Whacked all staples into the backboards with it. Waaay faster than a hammer. Requires some hefty pressing though. Better suited for largish hands.

Really is an excellent tool. Good to know that other makes of staples fit it as I can't get the Stanley ones locally. Its true the instructions that come with it are in every language except English but using it isn't rocket science. Excellent robust tool.
