I have been around the block a few times and have tried a few Silverline products during that time and they have all been without fail total and utter junk. But having inherited an air compressor from a friend recently and in the need of air tools I read the other reviews for this nailer and thought I would try Silverline once again....I am blown away by just how good this nailer is.... it feels very strong and well made absolutely no twisting or cracking in my hands and it has a good weight to it as well.... not too heavy but just heavy enough.Assuming you have the right fittings (German type I believe) on your air line /hose this gun will fit. This gun really has some power to it and fires the nails in very strongly although you can adjust how powerful it is with the dial on top of the gun. The magazine locks into place easily without sending a row of brads blasting out like my previous electric nailer. It has a safety at the business end (where the nails come out) that is essentially quite a long curved piece of metal that isn't particularly well finished or covered with rubber or other padding so could easily mark softer wood workpieces but there is a lever to the right of the gun that can be pulled up to disengage the safety so as much as the safety isn't great it's good the disengaging lever is available.... plus it means nails can be fired without the gun being held against a workpiece (my record is about 4 feet accurately). So I put my hand up and say I have finally found a tool that Silverline do very well... never thought I would see the day. Highly recommended.

I already have an almost identical combination nailer and stapler, but needed a dedicated nailer for final fix work to keep the nail holes as small as possible. This nailer leaves VERY small nail holes that don’t damage the surrounding surface and can be easily filled. Much smaller than the stapler.Used with expanding adhesive to support skirting boards and the nailer sinks brads just under the surface of the skirting on breeze/cinder blocks walls. Same story with the architrave without any splitting even close to edges.Fired maybe x300 brads without a single jam or misfire. Paid for itself in the time it’s saved. There’s no depth control and this is instead regulated by the pressure supplied from your compressor. There’s no mechanism to prevent empty firing, but there’s an obvious window on the side of the cassette holding the brads so you can visibly check when running low.I had to switch the supplied PCL air connector to a Hi Flo to suit my connector, but that was a 2 minute job and you may not need to.Fired a range of small brads right through to 50mm into softwood and oak, all with no issue, jams or misfires.Great value. If this review was useful, I'd be grateful if you clicked 'Helpful'. Thanks

Air gun arrived today. Ordered yesterday! I already knew I would need to get hold of Euro quick connect adaptors to be compatible with my air line and got a pack from an Amazon seller. The gun comes with a British style 1/4" air line quick connector just to let you know, which is NOT fitted to the gun as you need to use some PTFE tape to make a good seal. So this was easy I fitted my Euro quick connector with PTFE. Be careful when you screw in whatever connector you need as it could be easy to damage / over tighten the connector which would damage the thread on the gun and make it useless. I powered up my compressor and used some 30mm brads I had to hand. What can I say REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD air gun which I'm looking forward to using when I fit some profiles or make some draws etc etc. Light easy to use, did some test nails into two pieces of wood one hard one soft and barely left a mark on the soft wood. I guess if you press too hard it will leave a mark on the surface.

for a budget nailer this works very very well, i used this on a small 6 ltr compressor with a 10 Meter 1/4" hose and i had no problems with the nailer what so ever, it is built like a tank and fired 38mm and some 32mm brad nails into 12mm external treated pine cladding into the 50mm battons no problem at all. i added a few drops of oil in the gun before i started and again every 30 mins and everything worked smooth right through my garden shed build, i did screw in all the main battons/beams with 85mm screws and add joist hangers for the roof and the shed is 100% solid as a rock. i had very few nail jams and after a little investigation i found a small drop or two of oil direct into the gunalmost totally stopped all jams.i found 32mm and 38mm 18g stainless steel brad nails worksed great with the shead cladding, i did enjoy using the nailer so probally went totally over the top with the number of nails i used but hey boys and their toys and all that.

Used this to attach dado rail, panel moulding and skirting in a bathroom. It took 32mm and 50mm brad nails without effort. The cassette is easy to open to swap or add more nails. I used in excess of 200 nails and only had one jam, that was my fault as I tried to drive a 50mm nail diagonally but didn't fully depress the nose before I pressed the trigger. It is a very cheap tool but only if you already own a compressor, the max pressure of the tool is 7 bar but it performed well between 3 and 6 bar. Overall I'm very impressed, it is quite sturdy and compact, it works well, is easy to use and is very good value for money.

This product is amazing, was very sceptical on quality given the price but I'm totally blown away by the build quality, sturdiness and ease of use of this item,My last nailer was an electric one and that suffered badly from a short power cable and every single brad had to be hammered in even though it felt like it was being hit with a lump hammer, this one is barely noticeable when you fire it and drives the brad in just below the surface.Highly recommend and would buy again

It’s very cheap, lightweight, sinks the nails and leaves a very neat little sinkhole which is perfect for filling and sanding. Unfortunately Silverline don’t supply replacement firing pins which is always the first thing to break on these cheap nailers. When that happens (and it will sooner or later) it will be scrap! If you want a nailer you can depend on, buy one that you can get replacement firing pins for and always have one or two on standby.

I purchased this to replace an ageing air nailer that had served me well. This one is equally well made and will fire a variety of length of brads. I have pushed several thousand nails through this in the short time i have had it(building and cladding a shed with my father) and so far we have had only one blockage that was easy and quick to clear. This as proved to be extremely reliable and robust.

Excellent value! Used this to put around 1,000 50mm brads in so far and only had one jam, which was easily cleared using included tools. Lightweight and comfy to hold.Only complaint is I had to use an adapter for my air hose as none of the included fittings worked. It's made of fairly thin wall material so I don't think it would stand up to heavy long term use but it's ideal for small projects.

I bought this for some diy projects I had. It wasn't going to get a lot of work so I went for the silverline nailer, instead of paying big money for something that would rarely be used. I have used it twice so far and used over 100 nails each time. I make sure to oil it before each use and I havnt had a single jam. Good product for the money. Perfect for the home diyer.

I've wanted one of these for ages and it is very good for the price. The only slight downside is that you have to have it in exactly the right position to get it to fire. On the other hand, it means you don't waste pins or staples. You do need a strong grip on it tho. It's certainly does what I need it to do (I built a compost bin from old pallets).

Great little gun for the price as long as you use it for what it was designed to do. Don't expect to build a house with it. I put a couple of drops of the provided oil in each time before I use it, and no jams so far, I have fired around 300 pins with it. Nice and light and feels comfortable in the hand. For just over £20 I feel you can't go wrong.

25 quid and its a great bit of kit, I was very sceptical at 1st but after reading reviews and watching reviews on YouTube I decided it was worth a try. I use this brad nailer with a 6Litre wolf compressor and the brads go in no problem. For a silverline product I would fully recommend ?.I doesnt come with any brads so make sure u order some! ?

I had an expensive black jacket and washed it. When it came out and dried, all the elastic ribbing on sleeves and round the bottom was à mass of white bobbles making it unbearable. I bought this product as a only resort after trying sticky tape. It took a while but i can now wear my jacket again. A good job done with a few pounds spent.

This 16 gauge air nailer is a solid no frills piece of kit.Easy to load, lightweight and capable of firing 64mm brads. It has an adjustable air exhaust vent and the front section just unclips quickly if you need to clear a jam ( not something I have experienced) . I use it at 90psi and it is really great for fast glue/nail fixing.
