I have just erected a large amount of featherboard fencing for my Son-in-Law. It involved firing about 2500 nails into the featherboards. I agonised over whether to hire a heavy duty nailer or go with this inexpesive light weight model. My dilemma was made worse by the fact that the reviews for this product are mixed with some of them being fairly poor. I bought 32mm brads and set to work. Before starting I had a practice firing a couple fo brads into various bits of wood and quickly realised that for the purpose I required it worked better without the rubber tip on the end of it (the instructions state clearly that it can be used with or without the rubber tip - but without it you are morelikely to make make a small mark in the timber)The nature of the task meant that I could hold the nailer at right angles to the boards without restriction. Furthermore, the timber into which the brads were being fired was relatively soft. It worked superbly. Out of around 2500 brads it never jammed. About 10 bent and did not go fully into the timber - this was because I hit a knot in the timber. About 49 times out of 50 the brads went into the timber fully leaving no "head" exposed. Just occasionally it would leave about 2mm exposed which needed to be tapped with a hammer - this was not a fault with the gun. This was caused by the fact that I had failed to hold the gun firmly enough against the timber. If you are planning a job that is fairly light weight and the timber into which you are firing the brads is fairly soft then this is a great bit of kit.

I picked this up as a daily deal for £42.99 and have used it now for a number of projects, from experience it does occasionally jam (only when I've used nails, hasn't jammed when I've used staples) and doesn't always drive the nail in fully (maybe operator error) but it's a great time saver if you have lots of nails to drive in and it's easier to give the odd nail a tap in than hammer them all individually. The Nailer/Stapler is easy to load and is light enough (3.7kg) to use for long periods of time, I would have liked the power cable to a bit longer as I find myself having to stop and move the extension closer more than I'd like to. It came supplied with a selection of nails and staples (can take Tacwise staples 15-30mm or Tacwise nails 15-35mm)and a good sturdy carry case. It's a good tool for occasional use and great for softwood, I don't think it's robust enough for professional use but you could easily pay 5-10 times more for for a professional nailer, for the price it's great and I look forward to finding jobs for it!

Really pleased with this. Small, light and powerful. I brought this to pin some insulation to floor joists. Despite being hesitant due to some of the lower star reviews, I had no issues with a lack of power. Drove staples into solid old thick pine joists no problem, every time. Would make short work of architrave and mouldings too.I would give it 5, but for one minor 'quirk'. Has a tendency to register a jam when it's low on staples -- say less than 10 left in the cartridge. After a refill quickly gets back to business, so easily liveable.Oh, and this comes with staples and brads in the box No need to order surplus like i did. Would be handy if that was made more explicit in the listing.

I bought this when my Tacwise 181ELS just stopped working one day. This is much much better, and was actually a lot cheaper than when I bought the 181.Comparison to 181ELS:this fires staples and nails, 181 only nailsthe 181 needed a lot of pressure on the nailer otherwise the nails would stick out, this sinks the nails well with less pressurethe loading mechanism is neater and visibility is better (seeing how many are left)The nose is more accurate on the 191The only downside of this nailer is the short power cable, I have never been able to use it without an extension lead.

I’ve used the gun to reupholster a bed using the staples which went well. The gun is powerful enough to do small household DIY projects periodically but if your planning to use it more than that I would consider something more heavy duty! It has jammed a couple of times already but I did manage to free the blockages pretty easily being careful to unplug the gun beforehand. I haven’t used the nail function yet but I’m confident that it’ll work fine.Once you understand the gun’s limitations then it will serve you well. I’m pleased with the purchase and price.

This is what I would call a panel pin nailer, it fires fairly small nails and staples. I purchased it for fixing beading to skirting board after laying laminate flooring and for this awkward pinning job it was ideal. I also used it to re-staple a stair carpet and have to say it saved time and my knees. Prices vary considerably ,check.it out at Argos. I use AMAZON a lot and have always had a brilliant service but they are too expensive on this one.

Good product the packaging and delivery were very quick, this product has saved us so much time, we build a bespoke shed in half the time it would have taken with a normal hammer and nails, there could be a little more electrical cord with this item as it seams a little on the short side, you will need to have a few practice sessions with this product to get the tension right but other than that it's brilliant

Total waste of money.. Press to hard and it marks the wood, press to little and the nail bends.. after a couple of shots I have to open the feed, the nails do not feed properly. I have wasted more nails than I have used, I am very disapointed. I tried the staples and none worked!!. I use the recomended nails. Wish I cauld get my money back, I would buy a compressor and air nail gun.

Excellent product for the price ....... Quick and easy to use ....... make sure the rubber nose cover is on correctly otherwise the nails stick in the rubber......... leaves a small impression on soft wood but a quick dab with a damp cloth swells the surface back up................... a very handy tool for homeworking

Its good, i read the reviews and was supprised as i found it reliable so far, i tested it with 50 nails and 50 staples into pine, MDF, steamed beach, oak, birch, and ply, ALL of the 35mm supplied brads and 25mm staples went just below the surface of the piece.I would strongly recommend this electric brad/staple gun

If there is a function for firing two at a time I can not turn it off I almost ruined my work pulling out nails and re doing them can't get them in the same hole. Nothing worse than puckering up for a shot and nothing happens, but learn how to use it and it's brilliant, it would work on fencing and it's powerful.

Wow! Had been looking for a nailer/stapler for some time and I got this at a great price (having used it I would have paid more!). Very easy to use for a range of tasks. I constructed a shed, put material back on the bottom of my couch to name but a few applications. Would be lost without it.

tool has served us well and we have now finally upgraded to the new duo 35 . The 191 has so many uses and my wife and I have had it on the go in the home and garden completing a small loft conversion with insulation and small refurb jobs. Very useful piece of kit.

This gun is really easy to use and after a little practice the nails can be driven sub-surface, flush or proud of the work surface making it great for tacking work pieces for gluing up and pining down templates for router work

Generally it does quite well. Good performance from a light tool. The occasional nail head to be punched and it gets warm after a clip of nails but all in all good results. Very easy to clear the occasional jam. Recommend.
