Works well as designed. I used the 6mmX6mm staples to attach very thick phone cable (7/32 inch) and it fit slightly loosely, desplte claim by another poster that the size was only useful for 3/16 or less, while the box says "up to 1/4 inch." In the end, I disliked the look of saggy wire and bulky staples and I took most of these T59 staples off the wall and instead used another gun, an Acme 37AC with 37AC staples to hold the wire. Those larger AV staples were even looser, but so thin as to be invisible from a distance, and the wire dropped to the bottom of each staple resting almost entirely on the baseboard so the wire virtually disappears.I now question the need for insulated staples when specialty staplers can reliably insert staples to a predetermined safe depth. I now think the latter is the way to go. But there may be some uses where insulated staples are still required. I've found the Acme 37AC to be useful for just about every AV wiring situation, but a perfectionist would have dedicated stapler giving a perfect fit for each kind of wire.

This thing is a time saver. I suppose if you're only planning on running cables once it is a little expensive but how much is your time worth but a must if you do a lot of cabling. I had my coax run stapled neatly in about 30 minutes, I did need to use a couple of coax nail clips on some wood that the stapler couldn't penetrate properly and I spent an additional 15 minutes putting in 3 of them due to a tight space. The 5/16" x 5/16" staples worked great for RG6 cable, It holds it securely but doesn't pinch the cable.I knocked one star off because of a couple of faults.1. the staples work in most wood but harder woods you probably won't be able to. The staples will bend or fall out.2.The trigger requires a lot of force to press down, So it requires two hands at some of the odd angles.

I had done a search for best staple guns using google chrome and read a tool review site. For some reason, it displayed this as one and it had great reviews. I agree, this is a seriously well built cable fastener gun. It uses staples that have a plastic end that holds wires down but does not shoot the staple flat against the surface. - there is a gap for the wire and thus it doesn't staple in as deeply or as strongly as a staple gun would. I can pull these right out of wood with my fingers. I own it now and will keep it to expand my tool kit, but I had meant to get a staple gun.I eventually bought an Arrow staple gun which is also excellent.***I just wanted to clarify this for anyone like mewho didn't understand the difference.***

This really is the pinnacle of wire tacking tools for common network/coax cabling. I couldn't tell you how many tools I tried before breaking down and buying this one (since it is a little pricey for a tool that has a fairly limited scope of use). Honestly, I wished I'd purchased this item sooner and not wasted my time with the other garbage tools out there. It does exactly what you need it to do with no trouble and it's built like a tank. It is essentially guaranteed that someone will inherit this from you some day since I honestly can't see any way this tool will ever break/wear-out. From that perspective, it is an excellent investment.

As with any Arrow product you are going to find that this is absolute superior quality and perfect craftsmanship. Research and development put in overtime on this one and every one of the clips that went into this to be installed for different applications with spot-on and had no problems whatsoever. Excellent delivery system and installation system for this and I cannot say enough good things about this product. If you are needing something to be installed and worrying about wires being shorted out this is the one for you. Well worth the investment. I have my first Arrow stapler from 35 years ago. You cannot be Arrow

This is a really good heavy duty stapler and I have used it quite a bit to tack up cabling. It does have one engineering flaw though, on the bottom of the stapler where the spring loaded follower is to keep the staples snugged up, the follower has an opening where they did not bring the metal together all the way. The result is that frequently when stapling cable, the cable slides thru that opening and gets stuck up inside the follower, inside the handle. I corrected this by simply wrapping some tape around the handle and over this opening so that the cable can no longer slip thru.

Best thing about this staple gun is the very deep guide notch that allows you to shoot your staple without fear of a puncture. The staples themselves are safe too, they have a plastic body shaped to cradle the wire, and a metal staple that slides through the body; the metal staple does not touch the wire at all!I ordered .25 inch staples for use with a CAT 6 ethernet cable - the fit is loose, a bit sloppy. Maybe the next smaller staple would have been better for this cable, but I'm not sorry that the cable is not crunched.Glad to have this new item in my tool box.

Works good. No extra adjustments needed. You just load the insulated staples and press the lever. I use 1/4" insulated staples to tack down Cat5e cables for a security camera system. The only negative I can think of is you need to exert great pressure to depress the lever. I'm ok with this though some with weak hands may find this challenging. It needs a flat surface. I had no misfire even on hardwood. The staple holds the wire but doesn't exert pressure on it; in other words, you can still move the wire. Overall a great buy. It beats the hammer and tack method...

I received this yesterday and used it today to run some cat6 cable from my router to my media center. Product worked perfectly and took me maybe around 10min. to run 50ft of cable. Extremely easy to use and was able to use staples in drywall and floorboards with no problems at all. I purchased 1/4 x 1/4 staples off of Ebay for $9 with free shipping since the only 1/4 x 1/4 staples on amazon were black. Although truth be told clear staples look white either way...I am very happy with this product, very solid product that I'm sure will last a long time!

The Arrow Fastener T59 Wiring Tacker is an excellent staple gun. We purchased it to use for hanging outdoor Christmas lights. The staples that can be purchased with the stapler do a great job of protecting the delicate Christmas lights from staple damage. The staples penetrate the wood just far enough for a good contact yet they are not so deep that they cannot be removed when it's time to remove the lights. The stapler has a good span over even the four-wire parts of the lights so that it spans the wire and doesn't damage the wire.

Given the relative thickness of CAT6 cable (and not wanting to crush/impede signal) - this stapler is a dream. It is very sturdy, easy to load, takes a modest amount of pressure to staple, and has a great notch/guide for the cable (after spending a whole day running Ethernet into our attic, shorting the cable with a staple would have been a nightmare). The insulated staples do have a good deal of added height, so just be aware that the staple will not be perfectly flush with the cable itself.

These are what you want for cable-stapling. I bought this to replace the Gardner-Bender stapler (that was the only thing Home Depot carried) that I've had the last couple years. Basically, I got tired of going around with a hammer and "finishing" the staples I drove. The Arrow drives the staples to their full depth every time. AND, it's made in the USA as well! The yellow vinyl-coated handle helps distinguish it from the standard staple driver in my tool box.

I've been a user of almost the entire line of Arrow Fastener Wire Tackers for over 30 years. I own the T18, T25, T50, T75, and now the T59. I'm in the Telecommunications business, and have only had one of these staple guns fail on me since. They are a well made American product that will stand up to the test of time. I use the T59 for Cat 5e, Cat 6, and Coax cable were I have to worry about cable deformation and damaging the insulation.

I put off buying this but gave in when I wanted to run 10 strings of LED XMAS lights around our new fence for night time illumination. Well this bad boy is just what one needs to quickly staple up wiring. I have also used it for CAT 5 wiring in the basement and a co-worker used it for coax TV cable. Yes it is a bit pricey but it works great and the finished look it very nice. Both black and white plastice staples are available.

I installed a scanner antenna on an eave mount, and needed to secure the RG6 coax someway to under the eave. I thought about the nail/ clip holders, but decided to try the T59 and WOW am I glad I did! I really didn't want to spend the money, but it was worth every cent! It has trouble on occasion on the hardboard siding because it's so hard, but out of 50 staples only 4 bent a little.Very good product!
