For shorter walks (appr. 4-8kms) it's not necessary to take a daytour backpack with you, but it's handy to have a few things such as a water bottle, a rain coat and camera or binoculars with you. For this purpose the Lowe Alpine Nijmegen 6 has surprisingly much space. It's well built with good materials and YKK zippers and comfortable to wear, without strain on the hip. The hip part is very well padded. Two 500 ml plastic bottles are included. We ordered two other hip belts (also the Lowe Alpine Space 7 and one from Vaude) to compare, but for us it was obvious that the Nijmegen 6 offers most bang for the bucks. Highly recommended.Highly recommended.

Not a bad product, although the price is steep. I found mine on another website a lot cheaper. I mainly use mine when I’m out walking the dog for a couple of hours or more. It’s quite comfortable and allows for the carrying of the small amount of kit I like to take with me.The only thing I found useless where the two water bottles that came with it. They are misshapen around the lids and cause leaks. I have overcome this by replacing them with two Sigg 600ml bottles that fit perfectly.

I liked the number of pockets and the water bottles. I liked how it fits comfortably into your lumbar region. I would have preferred a slightly larger bag.
