Writing this as I'm pretty upset at one star reviews from people who have obviously not read up on what they are getting before they buy.These speakers need 3 x 3.5 jack inputs (rear, centre/SW and front) from your 5.1 capable sound card. If you just plug in front speaker cable from your stereo sound card (laptops etc) you will only get 2 channel sound and only front speakers will work. This is not a fault, these speakers do not upmix in a similar way to Pro Logic, they don't have that technology.You need the updated x-540 or current Z506 which have matrix mode, or to use all 3 wires on a 5.1 sound card and enable speaker fill or some other upmixing technology on the sound card speaker settings if it has it.That said I will now review these awesome speakers.

They are fantastic. The sub woofer is maybe a tad overpowered but only in a way that you might feel conscious about your neighbours. They fill a room with sound really well, but it is best you get all the speakers working as it can sound a tad tinny without the full body of all five speakers. The reason I stipulate to get all of them working is that it has a slightly annoying 3-way split cable. Each jack is a separate section as it were, with one being the front speakers, one being the centre and subwoofer and the other the rear speakers; at least I think that's the grouping. This means that you need a 3-way splitter to unify the 3 when using a single Audio out jack.

I always thought logitech as the cheaper option for general goods but after buying these they will be my first choice every-time!! These sound amazing. Much better than pc speakers iv seen for £200+ the bass is brilliant and crisp and the speakers offer a fantastic surround sound feel to anything! They come with an adapter so all speakers are in use even on a stereo sound card of only 2 channels the only issue i had was the rear speakers cable is very short but i got 2x 20m extension phono cable for about £4 so very happy ps the newer models of these dont look as nice and cant be wall mounted so these are better and they look amazing both on and off the wall,

Hooked up these bad boys to my gaming PC and immediately started playing farcry2. I was surprised to hear sounds i had never heard before, the branches of bushes and plants brushing past your shoulder, bullets whizzing past your ears, the rustling of the canopy above in the wind and you always know where your enemies are with full surround sound :) You wont be dissapointed with the quality, I played some dubstep and forgot that the subwoofer was on full volume and it woke my parents up for sure, playing deadspace with full bass is very dramatic and movie-like :) Buy these speakers if you want an affordable and good quality surround sound set.

They are what they are; Surround sound, bit of bass and good voice. Brilliant for any small set up like a bedroom. Good quality at the reasonable sound levels e.g. tv, film etc and are quite good at higher db although the bass does waver a bit if you turn it all the way as it stops getting so many low notes. As it is ported it can get low notes considering the actuall sub isn't that big although if you turn it up the port does get a bit breezy.All in all very good value for money

i brought these off ebat cause i friend said he had heard they are very good ............ no they are brill . well worth every penny of my hard earned cash .make sure you have a good quality sound card like i have Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro Sound card - 192 kHz - 24-bit.... but something like Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1 Sound Card well do just fine ...... once again i would recommend these to every1 and his dog .

For the money they're "okay" - the base unit is good, the satellites kind of work and the sound quality is good, but there's no separate controls for bass, treble or how the sound is distributed to each speaker - which invariably means the satellites at the end of the food chain sound disappointing. If you want guaranteed volume with no distortion - move on and spend £300 on Bose, but for gaming and interim music they're pretty good.

My brother has a 2.1 set from these speakers, so I planned to buy something like those, but I choose the 5.1 system. This speaker set is one of the best, what I have ever heard! Clean and powerful sounds with a big bass!Altough these speakers are not enough shrill-toned for me in low volume. Even so I enjoy the dynamic of these speakers. I reccomend for everyone, who likes the great and clear sound!

Excellent and powerful system given it's compact size. As a surround sound experience it's very good but I would say it could be slightly better if there were variable EQ settings (tone control). Plenty of bass as standard (this really rocks the place). All round, for the money and compact size a great product. I have them installed in my garden shed and for playing music they're just the ticket.

I bought them for my desktop computer.It fills all the needs. not too powerful, but powerful enough for your neighbours to call the police. cool sound quality and if you lower the a bass a bit you'll stretch them to maximum volume quite easy(but you won't do this if you live in a flat, trust me, your neighbours won't enjoy it as much as you will).

Excellent set of speakers, quite loud though (good thing!!) so make sure the kids don't deafen the neighbours. Only down side is the right hand front speaker has a serial connection so the cable for that one is quite short and the volume for the bass bin is on the rear. For the money though, this system is awesome!!

we have used these as our surround sound in the living room. we did have to buy a few extra cables but for the sound they were all worth buying. my partner loves showing off to his mates and family when they come round by turning the tv onto the music channel and turning thespeakers up full blast. thanks again

brilliant speakers and super boost sound.Its absolutely nice speakers sutaible for home cinema,desktop,computer,laptops,mp 3 PLAYER,portable players......etc....really nice i am absolutely happy with them...high quality 5.1 surround with nice bass boost system.

the speakers are excellent. loud, clear and very easy to use. but if like myself your want a set like these and you don't know much about it. your PC/Laptop needs a pretty good sound card for the 3 inputs the speakers needs for a good 5.1 experience.

Omg!!! These speakers are VERY LOUD!!!! I’ve not been able to turn them up full as I fear my neighbors will complain so much I’ll be evicted!!!! Very good quality and very good price. I’m very happy but my neighbors.... not so much!!! Ha ha
