I wanted to downsize the number of speakers I had on my PC, wasn't making great use of the 5:1 speaker configuration and the cable management was driving me mad. After some research, I opted for these. The first thing I was amazed at was the weight (or lack of it) for the complete setup, especially the bass box. Once I got it set up, I gave it some tests from simple music to games with a lot of gameplay noise. First impressions - Yes I was impressed, the sound was clear from the small speakers and the bass sound was not overpowering. The USB power source was an interesting one, it said to make the most of the gain levels, use a 2A USB power source (Not included). Now for the price of these,I would have thought Creative could have included this. However, I found a USB PSU and the first thing I notice was background noise through the speakers using this. As soon as I swapped over to a USB port on the Desktop PC, no background hiss. So I think a good quality USB PSU is important. You might only need the USB PSU for use with a laptop, who knows. The second thing was the overall length of the 3.5mm stereo plug. If your setting these up for use with a desktop PC, this cable length is tight, at least another meter would have helped. All the other cable lengths were fine.So apart from these minor grumbles, for the sound quality, you cannot go wrong for the Price.

Creative and others crippled their small powered speaker line with the EU Power Consumption directive that made them turn off after 10-15 minutes of no input signal... :o(Have a pair of Yamaha NX-50's connected to a TV which are great, but discontinued... :o(I wanted a small pair of speakers to run off a Dell micro PC for general PC ping and bong and Skype call sounds and took a chance with these pebbles, and am kinda shocked at how good they are.The sound is great for what they are, mainly crisp highs and mids (But not so heavy on the Bam Bam's :o)), but there is some bass in there, and the best bit is as they are USB powered they stay on and switch off with the PC.Plenty loud and clear enough for YouTube and listening to music and Skype calls.Connection is USB C and there's a USB C→A adaptor in there too.Form factor is great, low profile & angled towards you rather than 90° straight up, with volume/power control in easy reach. Can also use a USB phone charger adaptor to power them instead of an onboard USB port. The switch at the bottom makes a difference too, High gain sounds fuller and goes louder.Have a pair of iLoud micro monitors which are obviously in a completely different league all round, but these pebbles are exceptionally good, and even more so considering the price...I like them...

These speakers are great. The build quality, design and premium feel are amazing at this price. It easily beats anything that logitech does at this price range. I used to use some logitech z200 speakers, which feel very cheap, plasticky and bulky compared to the creative pebbles.I use these as small speakers for my PC, mainly for when I'm doing light gaming, talking to friends online, casually listening to music etc. and they're perfect for this. I do not use these for serious listening sessions, or for longer gaming sessions - for that I'll use headphones with my DAC/Amp, or my main hifi system. However, having said that - the sound quality is great for the price.Obviously don't expect anything anywhere near the sound of a proper hifi setup or audiophile gear, but for the money - they're great and better sounding than the z200 speakers I previously used for my PC, which always sounded muddy in lower frequencies and much less detailed overall.Note that there is no headphone port on the speakers, if that matters to you. Also if you're interested - my PC audio setup uses a FiiO K3 USB headphone DAC/Amp, which I have connected these speakers to via the line-out, and I use AKG K550 headphones for more serious listening and gaming on my PC.

If you are like me and have a gaming monitor with no built in speakers then you may be in the market for a set of cheap speakers to output sound from the source being input to your monitor. In my case I have both a PS4 and PC, and much orf the time I am gaming with headphones, but for the casual gaming times or when for comfort you just don't want to wear headphones these speakers fit the bill nicely. They are a unique design, about the size and shape of a large orange with the base cut off, they come as a connected stereo pair, and the left speaker has a 3.5mm jack to connect to the headphone out of the monitor and a usb plug to get its power, in my case this is also from the back of the monitor, but could be any powered ups socket you have - such as the ones on your PC or PS4As mentioned they are small and relatively unobtrusive on the desktop, and although they are limited sound wise, by their size, the sound is clear, and adequate if sound quality is not your main goal. They reproduce vocals clearly but can sound muddy with complex music scores, and obviously lack bass.If you want small cheap and unobtrusive sound output from an otherwise speaker less monitor - these fit the bill really well and are recommended.

I bought these for a small (22") JVC TV in my bedroom. The JVC TV has a 3.5mm headphone socket in the back to plug these into. The original speakers in the TV are just awful - flat and tinny and pretty hard to listen to without turning it up so loud that it distorts. Adding these speakers has made the world of difference. I have set the volume on the speaker dial to max, then I use the TV remote to change the volume as normal. Music channels, news, movies and sports commentary are all perfect (as good as my £300 soundbar downstairs, just not as loud). It also has a USB socket in the back which means that they are powered directly from the TV and I don't need to use another three pin plug socket. Also, since they are powered by the TV, they power down when I switch it off - so no "night lights" from the speakers.Sound quality is as good as you can get in its price range - not super loud, but well balanced tonally without any distortion. Easily loud enough for my bedroom. Sound quality is hard thing to to describe in writing, so let me say this: they are about as good as a decent set of factory installed car speakers... nothing to excite an expert audiophiliac, but certainly nothing bad. I am very happy.

Even these are a Creative product, I wasn't expecting great things for 27 euro. Was I surprised ? Oh, yes. When I unpacked the speakers, the first thing that struck was the weight, build and size of the speakers. A good weiht, strong build and just about the right size for my needs. Next, the design and shape. Very neat and attractive. So much for the apparance. Next was performance. TBH, I definitely wasn't expecting great things here. As these speakers are solely powered by the laptop via usb, I expected passable performance. Again, big surprise. Clear, high volume with no distortion at the top end and even though there is no bass control, the bass was well acceptable. These speakers punch well above the €27 price tag and unless you are fanatical about your sounds, more than acceptable for we ordinary peole who just want a decent set of speakers. The next test is how long they last. Highly recommended.

I um'd and ah'd over a set of speakers for quite a while, looking at youtube reviews and professional reviews for guidance, finally took the plunge with these and I'm so glad I did.I bought these to be desktop speakers for my computer, so I have no need to transport them anywhere and I'm not looking for them to deliver loud, unbelievable sound quality as I'm just sitting 1 meter from the speakers. That said, I personally think the sound quality is fantastic and they look really smart, which is pretty much all you can ask for. It's only been a couple of months since I bought them but I couldn't be happier.I do have one grievance though but thought it would do a disservice to the speakers to mark it down for it.The speakers weren't packaged in a box, instead they just stuck a label to the speakers' box so wouldn't have been great if they were a gift. Plus there could have been more chance of damage.

The sound quality on these is very very good. The cables are redicoulously short (especially for a PC). I needed an extansion for both power and signal in. There is a weird "gain" toggle switch for the speakers which I don't see why anyone would turn off, given that it does not reduce the sound quality at the same real volume level. It would have been better utilised as a low/high volume on the woofer that has no separate control. For the price range is still give them 5 stars though.Keep in mind though you might need a usb charger to get the full output from them, and a good quality one otherwise they will buzz like crazy.Overall they look good, they feel well made and at this price range they sound amazing with the woofer pulling a lot of the weight. I would definitely recommend them, but beware of the above caveats and "hidden" costs.

I have to admit to being dubious about the excellent reviews, bearing in mind the low price but I thought I'd give them a go as I just wanted some compact speakers to go on top of the desk to replace the large ones under the desk that were humming annoyingly. I was amazed by the bright and detailed sound at all volumes. When turned to full volume there is no noticeable distortion and they are louder than I had expected. The stereo effect is also excellent. I listen mainly to acoustic, singer/songwriter music so I wasn't looking for heavy bass. In fact I didn't want it. I find sub woofers generally produce far too much bass for me and it can transmit through the house. If you do want strong bass you will probably not be so happy but that's not to say there is no bass. I am delighted with these speakers, especially at this price.

So I set about trying to find the best USB powered laptop speakers and went for the most expensive I could find. The Trust brand seem everywhere so tried their 2 most powerful set of speakers.. Not that impressed, bass was thin, no separation or quality/feel to them and seeing that generally Creative speakers appeared to be well respected I also bought myself a set of Creative Pebble Desktop Speakers, 2.0 USB and instantly packed up the other 2 sets for postage back to Amazon. Deep enough bass, good midrange and the top sits just nice. Over powered so you will get distortion if turned up full but that gives a nice warm loud enough sound 3/4 turned up.I've spent way to many hours this week coming to the conclusion that these Pebbles are what you're looking for.. Qualifications? Sound engineer, producer, musician of 40 years.

I'm really happy with the quality of these. Solid build, nice and compact, and look great.Really didn't expect such a good sound from such a cheap set. Low gain and high gain settings are a nice touch. Low gain gives great definition and range at low/medium volumes, but gets a tinny at higher volumes. The high gain setting is good for giving body at higher volumes, but less defined at lower volumes. The sub is capable of decent bass but isn't over the top on default settings which many of these 2.1 sets are guilty of. That being said if you're all about the bass this may not be the set for you.USB powered is very ideal for PC/laptop users.Only downside is I fear the cables might be a little short when my desk is in a standing position, but I haven't tested this yet.

Pros:Great valueSubwoofer is goodTakes up little space in deskConsCables can be a hassle to tidyThe two speakers can only be a fixed length apartI bought this speaker because I wanted to watch movies on my computer without a headset. I was blown away with the quality music and audio from movies sounds fantastic. I highly recommend getting the version with the subwoofer to hear the bass. The subwoofer can also just be left on the floor for more space on the desk. It was also quite easy to set up just plug everything in and your done. The only thing I don’t like is that the two speakers are connected by a wire, limiting how far apart they can be.Also don’t really like the green volume light that shows the speaker is on but that’s only me nitpicking

I was looking for some mid range pc speakers, nothing special for the type of use I will have for them but was getting sick of the quality of the last few budget speakers. I was expecting to pay two/three times more than this and was actually a bit worried the price meant they were low quality but the Amazon and tech website reviews seem to rate these. I have to say that I was very surprised with the clarity and bass. While they wont meet the needs for a sound system or a home cinema they more than good enough for a desktop pc use - youtube, and light streaming tv (I used headphones for gaming and go to my living room tv for more cinema/bigscreen experience).I cant imagine getting better quality at this price.

Look - these are cheap as chips. You won't get amazing sound from them. But for the budget price they're reasonable. And they look kinda nice too.The bass is pretty poor (as you'd expect without a subwoofer), and the volume doesn't go very high. That's because these are powered just over USB, not by a 13A plug. They are small, basic and cheap. It's hard to complain about them if you buy them knowing their limitations.I would only buy these if I was desperate for some speakers and had a very tight budget. If sound quality is your priority, you really need to spend a bit more and get a 2.1 system (which includes a subwoofer). I recommend the SoundSticks II by Harman/Kardon,which are excellent.

Bought these after checking them out on YouTube. Brilliant little speakers, they look good and are pretty loud for their size. I've had creative labs speakers for years and are a well established maker of pc speakers. For the price these were a steal. Theses are the version 2 model, not to be mistaken for the original 2.0 ones (a bit confusing I know). These are a little more powerful and feature a USB C connector, although you also get a small adapter to change them back to standard USB. To set them up takes seconds, simply plug the USB plug into an available USB port on your pc or laptop, then plug in the 3.5mm plug into your sound output on your sound card (usually green) and thats it.
