This is a Good option for a small garden. It is maintenance free as it's not wooden and doesn't need weather proofing. It is quite small and not suitable for more than two toddlers under three. Would cope with a single four year old. Compared to many others it has a built in bottom so doesn't require lining with a pond liner or other such fabric. As it not breathable it would kill of a patch of lawn if left permanently in one place. Ours is on a patio, it would also work on a deck. The lid is extremely light and blows off very easily when not in use we weight the lid down with a couple of bricks. The lid ensures that the sand is clean and hygienic and ready to use and can't be used as a litter tray by family lets or other animals in the area.All in all a good budget buy.

This is just what I wanted for my two grandsons, aged 1 and 4. It's big enough for them both to play happily, though they would really prefer it to be bigger. There isn't very much room for toys when they are both in it together. I put in two bags of sand, that seems plenty, and not too much is getting lost. The lid is fine, no problem with it blowing off so far, and it keeps the sand dry and the cats out. I think this would make a good little paddling pool too, though we haven't tried that yet. I should think it would be a lot more convenient than the collapsible pools.

The turtle is bright and fun to look at. It is sturdy for a 2yrs old , maybe not for older children. The 2bags of sand were enough to cover the base but if you wanted a fuller sand pit order 4bags. The seating bits at the side are excellent. There is plenty of room for 2children at once.The lid is sturdy but does blow off in a strong wind, I had to tie some string over to keep the lid on successfully. My Grandaughter is really enjoying playing in it and I am overall very pleased with my purchase. .Kate , Edinburgh

We had bought a wooden sandpit a few years ago but as it had no proper cover/lid it became spider city! so we decided to go back to the trusty plastic ones with a cover! Thought it may be a bit small for our 2 boys (6 + 4) but they play in it just fine sat on the little seat bits at the edge!Glad we purchased this one!!!Just one downfall and that is the price. it was alot cheaper online in other places but i guess you pay the price for the convenience of collecting it straight away

We bought this to replace a sand an water table which wasn’t really big enough to build a sandcastle in.This has been great so far, it’s green so doesn’t stick out too much in the garden and it’s nice and wide so there is lots of room for play.It seems to be well made and the lid has stayed on despite some windy nights.Only thing I would say is that it’s impossible to move once full of sand so think carefully about where it’s going before you fill it up!

After Trying Various Branded And Expensive 'Dog Paddling Pools' That Were All Promptly Dug Through By My Jack Russell/Pug, I Was Struggling To Find Anything That Was As Reinforced Or As Strong As Advertised. I Bought This TurtleIn A 'Last Chance Saloon' Effort To Keep Him Cool Aaannnddd Twas The Best Of Them All.My Dog Is Overjoyed With His Digging Proof Paddling Pool! Looks Good, Durable, Easy To. Lean, Dog Proof And Perfect For Lazy Hot Days In The Garden.

This is one of the best garden sand pits on the market in my opinion and fantastic value for money. It is not too deep so easy for my 4 year old to play with whilst sitting on the grass (he is autistic so will not get into the sand pit so needed one that was not too deep for him to lean into and play). The quality is excellent and the lid seals the unit stopping sand getting wet in the rain. Lovely design as well.Overall 5 stars as no negatives to this.

I had this item delivered which I have to say was very efficient. The turtle sand pit is a perfect size for my 2 year old grandson. He was very excited to get this for his birthday. I’ve just put one bag of sand in there for now and it’s plenty for a little one who will chuck it all out no doubt. The lid is great as it stops any unwanted visitors to the sand. It may need a bungee to keep it down over the winter though as it doesn’t click shut.

Very sturdy and a good size for my 2.5 yr old boy. Slightly in the expensive side but if we can get a few years use it may be worth it. He is loving it. With the lovely sunshine have been using it as a paddling pool which he is having hours of fun splashing. Can’t fill too much with water as it is heavy to pour away (I know it was not designed for water but has been useful.) have not put sand in it yet but am sure my boy will love it too

Bought this plastic sand pit for my 4 year old grandson who loves it. I was glad I made a note of the size because it only just fitted my car boot. The design is fun, appealing to children and the two seats are great. I would have liked a closer-fitting lid to make absolutely sure that beasties like snails can't get into it. Easy to keep clean, which will be valuable at the end of the season. I have used a brick to keep the lid firmly on.

This is a satisfactory product. Seats are a welcome feature. Quite generous size. Only draw back is that although the lid fits snuggly it is too light weight and comes off in the wind. Could maybe do with some catches adding to the design to hold it in place. Would easily dent if weighed down with a brick. Don't think I would pay full price for this item because of this but much better than the Chad valley Apple shape pit.

Turtle sandbox was a present for my 3yr old and I can honestly say this was his favourite present. I didn’t know if he’d be interested in this compared with battery operated toys but this has surprised me with how much he loves it. Like the other review mention the lid is flimsy but it works fine to keep the cats/foxes and rain out. I leave a lot on top to stop the wind blowing it away. Over all, I’m really happy with it.

My son loved , bought 30 kg of send on tesco and was totally fine , with a lot of send to filled up and enjoy , the only issue is , it is not made of the best resistant plastic and there is no handle to move it to from A to B , so if you lift it off course if somebody else you might folder up turtle in half damaging it , it not happened if me but you got to be careful , nice lid to close at night .

Wasn’t expecting anything great from previous reviews but I am delighted! Brought for our sons 2nd birthday and opted for delivery.. Arrived on the day I chose within a reasonable time. The product itself is great quality and sturdy.. Great for a sandpit and also a paddling pool for little ones. Comfortably fits my 2, 4 and 6 year old in and they’ve had lots of fun in there so far. Very pleased!!

This is our second one, we bought one last year for the grandchildren to play in when they visit us...this was pre lockdown!, Last summer it was well used and the little seats where just great. My daughter wanted a sand pit her daughters birthday and after much research decided this was by far the best option...We agreed and so we bought a second one for her birthday to stay in their garden.
