I purchased this item not for children but for my standard poodle as he is a water dog. He loves it and so does the standard poodle puppy we have. This item is strong and sturdy and puts up with a 40 kilo dog in and out of it! When I want to cut the grass I put the lid( the sand bit) over it and the water stays clean. Once finished with I can empty it and put it away. An excellent item for both dogs and children alike! I wish they were available when my 25 year old was small as he would have loved it. Well worth the money for the amusement it creates.

I bought this as a paddling pool for my dog during the summer, so can't comment too much with regards suitability for children or using it for sand.However, it is sturdy enough to allow 30kg of German Shepherd to bounce in and out of it, it does not leak and is pretty much wipe clean.I guess if I were using it for water and sand, I would like something to keep the two halves together as there is no 'hinge' between the two seperate halves, although there are holes to permit rope/bungee cord.

Actually, its not that "I" love it, but my dog does.. needed a hard plastic paddling pool for my GSD and she likes this. Being two parts I use just the one this summer (expecting it to get broken) and have now packed it away for the winter ready for next year.If I ever get grandkids... ie if my boys ever decide to stick with a girl for longer than a gestation period, then I am sure the grandchildren could share with the dog...

This product is great for a sand pit and also a paddling pool too. I have to say though this is way too over priced.You can get this very same product in Tesco for £7 so obviously for the price they want for this you could get 4 at tesco for the price of 1 here!!!! Good product but not worth that price for sure!!

Got for our dogs for summer time half balls which we got 200 for fiver on the web and half water dogs love it plus you can change what you use, sand, water, bark, balls, dogs toys, leaves for them to play in anything really within reason obviously lol only got half the item so got refund

Great value sand and water play. ideal size for our twin 2 year olds. Needs an extra bit of rope to secure it when it's shut, but holes are provided for this. We have been using it on a concrete patio, and although it advises putting it on grass, it seems strong enough for this.

The sand/water mussel mould looks substantial it will not be used until the better weather but our grandson 18 months fits into it with plenty of room for the sand or a little water to paddle in. It arrived on time no hassle thank you and we will use your company again.

We are using this as a dust bath for our chickens, and they are very very happy with it. We are happy with it too. The lid is lightweight enough to easily lift of in the morning, and close up again at night so the chickies don't have to dustbath along with cat doodoo.

Purchased this for my two Border Collies to keep cool in whilst we are in this hot and humid summer....What fun has been had! Cool dogs. Sturdy enough to withstand sheepdog claws! It arrived a bit mishapen, but for what I wanted it for it didn't matter, so kept it.

Great for my puppy 1 side has got water and balls that float and the other side has play sand for her to play in. She has great fun playing in both I think this is the best buy for my puppy as well as playing it also helps keep her cool in the hot weather.

It does the intended job and for the price I paid I think it is good value for money. Obviously the more money you pay the thicker the plastic will be but I would say the plastic on this product is sufficient and I've had children and dogs play in it.

Sent off for several of these to donate to the animal sanctuary during the summer months and they arrived very quickly and in excellent condition. For what these are they are, they are great to keep little ones and dogs cool during the summer months.

This was very reasonably priced at just over £20. My son loves it. He has a sand table but gets fed up with it as he usually wants to mix water and sand together. This is just so simple to fill up and use and clean up for storage over winter.

Perfect bought for the dog to keep cool, he loves it, robust, clean and in perfect shape, easy to store, very pleased I think will last for ages, came very quickly, well packed, great for cooling the feet too!!!

Bought this a dog bath for my german shepherd, she loves it and sees the whole thing as a game. After months of being dug, bitten and genrally bashed about its still in top condition, we're all very impressed.
