MY TWO COCKERS LOVE IT!PERFECT FOR THE PUPS ON HOT DAYS.I CAN WATCH THEM PLAYING IN IT ALL DAY LONG, AND IT 'S CHEAP ENOUGH THAT IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT GETS CHEWED EITHER. HAVING SAID THAT, THEY'VE BEEN PLAYING IN IT FOR ALMOST TWO WEEKS NOW AND SO FAR IT LOOKS AS THOUGH I WON'T HAVE TO REPLACE IT FOR QUITE A WHILE, MAYBE A YEAR OR TWO.IT'S STURDY AND MOVEABLE WHEN FILLED. YOU CAN USE THE OTHER HALF AS A LID OR SAND ETC. AND HAS PRE-DRILLED HOLES IF YOU WANTED TO TIE THEM TOGETHER TO STOP IT BLOWING OFF. I WILL USE THE OTHER HALF AS A SPARE, SO WILL GET EVEN MORE USE OUT OF IT. BARGAIN!

I bought this for my 9 month old daughter as I had something simular when i was young and is a great buy. She loves sitting in it with the sand and will be using other side with water when warmer weather arrives. Great that you can put lid on to stop sand getting wet or animals using it! It took 2 bags of play sand which is enough for babies would recommend 3 bags for toddlers and older as no doubt some sand will escape.!! Only down side is can't actually attach when using one side as lid so have to weigh it downwith bricks to prevent it blowing off.

Excellent value for money. Our toddler has spent hours in it, used one half as a ball pit and other as a paddling pool. Bigger than expected for the cost. Only 2 slight criticisms really, a textured surface would help as it’s very slippery!. We put a small bath mat down as toddler slipped. Problem solved. The only other design flaw- two halves don’t clip together when your closing it. A heavy stone on top is needed if expecting strong winds. Overall very pleased with it, would recommend.

In the picture it didn't look that big, when collected and set up in garden, it was incredible. Quite deep which is amazing. My daughter has hours of fun playing in there. Cannot wait for the weather to warm up and be able to fill other half with water. Would say this product is worth atleast £30. It has 2 halfs and stops the rain getting in. It locks together as such. It has 2 gaps at the bottom for a handle to be able to lift. Im over the moon with this product, well worth the money.

I got this for my 23 month old granddaughter using it for the first time this May Bank Holiday Monday. It is just the right size for a toddler and with enough water to make a splash...all important! Once opened we put sand in the other side and she loved that just as much. At the top of the apple shape we have put cable ties through the holes to keep them together, helpful if empty and windy. At the price, it will last longer than an inflatable and store well in the shed. Very pleased with it.

I bought this for my labrador to help her cope in the heat. Our previous paddling pool was ripped to shreads within 5minutes so I wanted something more durable and this fits the bill. Unfortunately the blue version was sold out everywhere and you get 2 halves. Strangely, my water loving lab refuses to put a paw in it and so it just sits in the garden. I would recommend however, even if my dog doesnt use it (yet). It would fit a labrador lying down & would easily be able to step over the sides.

Great product! Kids love it! Love that it closes together to keep the sand nice an clean, also the small holes make it great for when the wind picks up that you can tie wrap them together so the wind doesn't blow the lid off or away and saves you crushing the top with a heavy item! Only reason I gave a 4 star for quality was hoped the plastic edges were a bit harder and sturdier but still a great quality an no problems as of yet. Both myself an nanny have one at our houses! Highly recommended

This sand pit is very good. I was expecting it to be quite small so was surprised by the size. It's fairly deep so sand is less likely to spill over the side and it's made from a sturdy material thats strong enough to support the weight of sand or a child climbing over the side to get in. The two halves are completely separate (not hinged) but when placed together- one on top of the other they have holes around the edge which allow you to tie them together to keep them secure when not in use.

Argos was the only place that still had this available. I was able to reserve and collect later that day. When I received it it was actually far bigger than I had expected. My girls sit and play with this for hours I put sand in one side and water in the other but they have plenty of buckets and water toys. When they are finished it’s easily tired away and kept in the corner of the garden. The handle on the shell makes it easy to move around even with the heavy sand inside! Perfect purchased

Bought the pool/sandpit set for our daughter whom is nearly two. She absolutely LOVES it! The recommended quantity of sand is 3 bags of 15kg - we only purchased two due to the age of daughter, and only used one of the two bags which was plenty for her. The design of the two halves is of an apple, and one half acts as a lid, so if the weather changes, you can keep the sand in the pit and it will stay dry. Quality for money is great, and would certainly buy it again and recommend it to others.

A good size to either play in or around. Did wonder whether to get a sand play table. But with this our 2 & 4 yr old girls happily entertain themselves around the sand & sometimes sit on the edge with their feet in the sand.Not used the other part with water yet. Will do when it gets hotter in summer months. The play pit is actually two separate pieces that can close together. It's not hinged in anyway (which I think would be an improvement)3 bags of sand filled it at a suitable amount

Just what my 19 month old daughter needed in this hot weather. She can get in and out independently and sits for ages in cool water and even encourages me to put my feet in too! She's not worried about digging in the sand yet so I've only put 1 bag of sand in the sand pit half. It does the job nicely. The neighbourhood cats haven't managed to get the lid off yet but I'm not sure how it will cope with a windy night. I may need to to tie the handles together. A good product at a good price.

Bought this for my granddaughter for when she comes to stay and visit. So far she has had endless hours of fun playing with the sand and building different shaped sand castles and animal shapes with the accessories bundle I purchased as well. Used 3 bags of Argos play sand which was plenty. She even wants to play with it all the time even when it's raining. Overall totally pleased with this product and can't wait to use the other half as a paddling pool when the weather really warms up .

My little girls loves this sand and water pit - it's well made from sturdy plastic which is water tight so we can leave the sand it the pit and cover it with the water pit without worrying that cats, insects or rain will get into the sand. It has 3 holes that can be used to further secure the pits together in case of strong winds. The water pit is so much better than a blow up pool which easily are punctured... She's had hours of fun in this has been the best purchase of the summer!!

this was a gift for my granddaughter's birthday. we have used it indoors as a ball swamp and a hideaway for her teddies. She loves it so much she decided to have a wee sleep in it on the first day. next week it will be going outside to be filled with sand. the water pit side will make a great night time lid to keep cats etc out of it. there is plenty of space to play and is sturdy and easy for little legs to climb over the side into. I'm glad I purchased this item and would buy another 1
