My two year old has spent the the best part of 4 hours playing in the sand pit he absolutely loves it. Big enough to build in but not to big it takes loads of room up. Light weight so its easy to move around the garden. Comes with a lid to keep the cats and other animals out. Definitely highly recommended for hours and hours of fun. Can be used as a ball pit or a paddling pool too. The only negative is the lid doesn't clip on so you need some weight on the lid to keep it in place when not use.

Just what we wanted for grandson in the garden. Only thing was lid could not be secured at end of play so we put luggage belt around it so lid would not fly away in wind and stops cats getting into sand. Grandson loves it and when belted it is sturdy enough to let him sit and stand on lid as little kids always do. Would recommended it. Bought play sand with it and only put one bag in as the more in the more is getting thrown out by grandson his favourite toy at our house. Quick delivery too.

This is a lovely designed sandpit which is smaller than normal ones of this type so useful if your space is limited. I like that the lid looks like a submerged hippo when it's off so very amusing. It has a mailable & grippy bottom (where sand goes) & fills up quite deep. I used 4 x 15l bags. My issue is that the lid does not clip on, it's just placed on top so easily blown off by the wind. Also, the snails love the glue on stickers - 1 ate an eye sticker & I've now got a pirate hippo!

Adorable sand pit, my kids love the hippo design. The lid stays on securely, protecting the sand inside from rain or being used as a litter box by the neighbourhood cats. Only downside is that it's only big enough for one toddler or small child to sit inside and still have room to dig in the sand, but that's alright, the kids and their friends still have plenty of fun sat round the outside leaning over to play - it's accomated 4 children playing together quite nicely.

This sandpit is good fun for my 4 & 1/2 year old. It is quite small, much smaller than expected. It arrived cracked at one end, which we have managed to tape up but the plastic is not that good quality. We filled it with 2 bags of 15kg play sand which seems enough. It could also be used as a paddling pool. I would recommend this sand pit but probably for a younger child as like I said it is smaller than it looks. The hippo shape is good fun, the lid just sits on top.

Mummys review: Nice colour, good price and smart design. It took 2 bags of 15kg sand to fill. Daughter enjoyed sitting inside the hippo and played ages. You can also fill with water for younger children but i feel it is too small for a child over 3 to use as a small pool. Used the lid but when it rained, water can still seep in so I now use a plastic cover as its too heavy (with sand) to put in and out of the shed. Daughters review: This is so cool. I love it!!

This is a lovely sturdy sandpit for small children and toddlers. The added benefit of the lid is a great feature as it keeps the sand clean and dry which is handy for our weather conditions. We already had a turtle version of this which has a small ledge to sit on and unfortunately this does not have that feature. However it does means that there is slightly more internal room to the sandpit which is a good thing, especially for a slightly bigger child.

Brought as a birthday present for our niece. Was shocked that there was no packaging whatsoever so the lid was scuffed in multiple places. The first one had a crack in it and had to be returned. The store helpfully reserved another at another store and this one wasn’t as scuffed but still marked on the lid because of not having any packaging. Whilst it works as a toy for a toddler, not overly impressed at the quality due to the reasons mentioned above.

This last week, both my Niece, 3 and my Daughter, 6 have had hours of fun with this.Once filled (we used 2 of the 15kg bags of play sand) its good and sturdy and doesnt move around easily on our decking.The lid isnt the most secure, but certainly keeps the sand and rain creepy crawly free.All in all I would deffinately recommend to friends and family to keep the little ones entertained in the summer. I believe ours will be very well used!

My two year old absolutely loves his new sand pit. He can easily open it up and get in and out of it. Definitely worth the money. Think we’ll probably empty it and store in the shed over winter as I can see the lid will most likely blow off. Maybe something to look into for future designs; a way to lock the lid down. Would definitely recommend, great price and size for a toddler for hours and hours of fun.

My child loves this. As soon as it arrived he was straight in there. Hiding. Yes hiding. It's big enough for him to climb in and pull the top over him and hide! Which he did till we bought 2 bags of sand for it. Which seems enough. My only concern is the lid doesn't lock down at all, so when it's windy there's the risk of the lid blowing off. Other than that, a lovely toy for hours of fun!

My little boy loves it its not to high for him to climb into and not to low for him to fall out of the lid fits just on top to stop anything form getting in there and the plastic its made from is easy to clean down with hose or jet wash the only thing id change would be the eyes because as soon as it rained they came off but all in all good value for money

Brought this for my 14 months yr old girl , think she enjoyed it.was nice size but think she will probably outgrow it quickly in size and don’t think it could accommodate two toddlers !The one thing which was annoying is the lid which doesn’t close properly so have had to put a brick on top when not in use so the sand doesn’t get dirty .

This is a great little sandpit, perfect for my 5 month old baby to dip her toes in the sand! I love the colour and design but as others have stated, on a windy day the lid could fly off. It is a good size and the price was really reasonable. I also purchased the sand along with it too on the home delivery service. Very happy customer.

Its a lovely little Hippo. I bought it as a pool for my dogs. They ate both kinda fat so I don’t know how long the Hippo will survive. The ‘Hippo‘ bit itself is like a shell around the ‘Pool’ bit and kinda flimsy. So I am pretty sure it will break of sooner or later it will break of. But I think it all good for a Baby.
