I bought this for a four year old relative of mine who loves nothing more than 'force-feeding' any visitors to the house.Having read the other reviews I find myself in the fortunate position of being able to disagree with all accusations of 'flimsiness' that have been levelled against this toy. There's the odd tooth mark to be found on one or two of the ice-creams (mostly mine - I get a bit carried away sometimes. Method acting, you know...) and the paint looks a bit battered and bruised nowadays on some of the ice-creams' extremities, but this toy is a robust addition to any pretend cafe. Even the lolly stand has survived over a year's worth of pre-school abuse.The hallmark of a good toy has to be measured in how envious the grown-ups are who subsequently have dealings with it.

We came across this toy at a friend's house. Our four children aged 4,3,2 years and 6 months played all afternoon with this gorgeous wooden toy. It is so nice to find something that cuts across the age groups. The older children role played beautifully and the 6 month old held and sucked! The children especially seemed to like the recognisable lollies eg the twister and mini milks.I immediately placed this item on our Amazon birthday wish list and was thrilled when my daughter opened it for her birthday. It has been enjoyed at all our recent play dates.My only criticism is that I can never remember which lollies go in which holes and they don't seem to fit in properly if you don't get them in

We don't know what gave her the idea but my (nearly 3) granddaughter started to sell us imaginary icecreams from our stairs (open plan to lounge), over the top of the child stairgate, using the lever handle as an ice cream pump. When I saw this on Amazon, I just had to buy if for her and it's a great success. Lovely colours, variety of shapes to represent ice creams and lollies. And, as they get real licks, they can we wiped clean for hygiene. Durability has yet to be tested as these are still early days, but very happy to this addition to the playbox.Oct 2016: They've survived a lot of hard play from 2 little girls and still are a favourite toy.

I've bought this for my daughter's birthday and it looks great. I know she'll love it. The product is well made, seems very sturdy, bright and attractive. My only tiny and very petty criticism would be that the lollipops in the very bottom row are too tall to sit under the ice cream cones - you have to kind of tilt the cones back to be able to fit the lollies in - if the holes for each weren't directly under each other it might've been better, but as I say, it's unimportant and I'm positive my daughter won't even notice! I think this is a great and novel product.

I bought this for my daughter's second birthday as she loves playing in her toy kitchen. This is an excellent product. The lollies and ice creams come in all shapes and sizes, are really pretty and can be stored on the stand. They are sturdy and durable and much admired by all visiting children. I also got her a cash register and she and her 5 year old sister spend hours playing ice cream shops. This is quite pricey but in my opinion it is worth the money as it should last for years.

My boys love this toy, from age 1 to 6 they all get something different out if it. Its always popular when friends, boys and girls from age 1-5, come to play, either handing them out or playing shops/cafe/ice cream van man! The only slight negative is the stand which can wobble and seems a little flimsy, but so far it hasn't broken and the ice creams themselves are high quality, brightly coloured and of great variety for the price! Much better than others I've seen.

My 2 year old son got this for Christmas and has had a lot of fun handing out ice creams to all our visiting relatives. Other people have complained about how flimsy the stand is, ours has just survived a trip in a suitcase and an airplane. It is not brilliant quality and the stand is becoming a little wobbly but not as bad as others suggested. The ice creams are great, very chunky and the ice lollies appear quite sturdy as well. In all good fun for young children.

Bought this as a component of a play shop at Christmas for my grandchildren. It's the most played with and enduring toy. This definitely has play value! The ice creams and lollipops don't stay on the stand though and get used in all sorts of games not just the shop. Beware as they are very appealing for little ones and the toy is not intended for them, but as they are so well made and finished beautifully so long as they are supervised well, it isn't a problem.

Lovely wooden toy. Bought for my son aged 2 and my daughter aged 11 months. It is very sturdy and has been tried and tested for 6 months now in their mouths and also by being knocked over time and time again. No chips, scrapes or colour smudges. The stand is sturdy yet lightweight. Ice creams are just the right size for small hands and some look pretty realistic.Definitely a firm favourite in our house!

I broth it for my daughter bday !It was well and nicely packed in box, to be honest it just amazingly fits hers little shop. It's very good quality solid wood, nicely coloured with very bright and clear colours.With wooden toys sometimes I was finding some chip in wood but nothing like that with this one :)Very happy with buy, will definitely recommend to every wooden toys lover !

Really lovely wooden ice creams. My nephew (just turned 3) love pretending to be a ice cream man and these are perfect for him to carry round. They are slightly smaller than I thought they would be but they are great quality. 4 stars purely because some of the ice lollies mimicking milk lollies are just a bit plain and really similiar. Could have had a few more different looking ones.

Bought this for my 2 year old on a whim. She absolutely loves it. It was the toy she has played with most so far. She plays 'ice cream van' from her wendy house and loves sharing the ice creams out. Stand was in two pieces when we got it but that has proven to be a good thing as the lower level is more accessible when you can swivel the higher one round a bit!

My 4 yr old twins love playing shop/cooking. It looks fantastic and has great variety of ice-creams and so much nicer than plastic ones! They got this for Xmas and it is still going strong except for the handle of the stand keeps coming out (but this can be easily put back).It doesn't appear the most robust of toys, but it is OK so far!

Comes fully assembled and ready to use. Wooden lolli pops can be stacked in the racket. Loliipops are only slightely smaller than the real ones. Love the colours! Very durable and something to pass on in the family. Reasonably priced. Bought for a 4 year old, who now loves selling us ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks! :-)

This was bought for my two boys to play pretend shop from their play house, they LOVE it!! The lollies are great,. the stand could be a little stronger and easier to put the lollies in, but to be honest the lollies dont stay in the stand too long anywhay.. Great toy for pretend play though my youngest son actually tries to eat them.
