Great pen. It looks a little big in the picture but don't worry it fits nicely in ones hand.Great for writing and drawing - the mechanism holding the lead in place is very firm so when drawing or writing, it feels smooth and accurate.Pros:Durable - made of tough plastic.Grip carved into the plastic for great feel.Rubber at the top of the penPlastic cap to protect the rubber at the top of the pen (hidden in picture)Great clip to attach to paper or your shirt.Comes in lots of different colours.Cons: Only one:They seemed to have carved on grip to many (3 instead of 2), resulting in every time you pick up the pen you have to check the grip as it doesn't feel comfortable sometimes.

There's no such thing as 'writer's block'. Mainly there's inadequate planning and procrastination. Often this takes the form of buying a new pencil. The Lamy Safari is a top quality product. Unfortunately, the delivery was too quick to fully wallow in procrastination, and my writing speed with this superb product outstripped my meagre thought processes - especially after replacing the HB leads with B. I now have several pages of authentic gibberish - just because the product and service were so good. At least procrastination found me this little gem.Just buy it, and get on with your work!

I have a little obsession with Lamy items at the moment and have realised I am purchasing more and more of things I don't really need, but you can never have enough good quality stuff! I like this pencil as it is very comfy to use where I read on another review that it has four grip sections but in-fact it's three which is ideal. My only twist would be that the rubber is rather hard and I like a soft style rubber as they tend to work better. All in all another good Lamy purchase to add to my hidden collection!!

I am a animator and like any graphical job, your tools define your work. This pencil is very comfortable in the hand. I was thinking about getting the stainless steel version of the pencil but I'm not sure there would be any improvement at all. Its so lightweight and really allows me to accurately and freely draw anything I can think of.I have had many mechanical pencils, including a beautiful montblanc but I would champion this LAMY pencil over all else.

apparently a very cool must have item in your pencil case. My son loves his, it matches his fountain pen, and is a nice size for little ish hands. To my mind it feels a bit plastic, well it is of course, but it is the brand of the moment at school!!!

Lovely product. I have a lamy fountain pen (yellow) and they colour match perfectly. Very secure click to release the led abd easy to refill.Only negative is the odd manufacture line along the side. Nothing detrimental to the function however.

This is a great pencil. I have had many of these type of pencil but non as strong and reliable as this one. It has worked everytime for me so far and theres no lead falling out all the time which you get with many others..

My review is plain and short,after years of using Lamy Fountain Pens,i was tired of sharpening pencils so looked for a Lamy Mechanical Pencil & Found this! Its fabulous and highly recommended! Ive now got one for my van!

Really nice to hold and write with. The lead seems to break more than my Pentel retractable (these are still my favourite to write with) but the Lamy is lovely to hold and it does actually look nicer than the Pentel.

A great pencil, so good that having lost mine I am ordering a second! The eraser is great, the mechanism easy to use and control, the clip flexible enough to go on hard cover books. Great product.

It arrived ahead of time which I was not expecting and was definetly an added bonus. The pencil itself is brilliant. I have other lamy products and this is of the same quality. Would recomend

only bought it because sadly I have a thing for mechanical pencils and yellow is my fav colour.lolAlways seem to press too hard though and tend to break a lot of leads.

Perfect! need I say more? well yes! The gripping is naturally perfect, the weight is perfect and pencil cartridges are sublime and I can clip it to my myself! bonus!

Lamy are not cheap - but they are well made - the only problem I have is keeping my granddaughter from taking it...and that will be solved by buying her her own!!!
