I recently purchased this camera and have really put it to the test!! It delivers on virtually everything. Videoing is not the best but okay for general filming however the photos are just superb!! It is a good weight and feels sturdy in the hand, very comfortable to use one handed and you really do feel like a "pro" but without having to use all the other lenses etc., In auto mode this does everything you could ever wish for and as regards the super zoom it is spectacular even on full zoom!! Cannot wait to try out the Moon Shot!!!The camera can only be charged within the camera but I have seen a separate mains battery charger (which I am more used to and is easier too) elsewhere which I will purchase.

I have a spent a good few days with this camera. As expected it's a simple "point and shoot" with a few added extras to allow you to fine tune your images. I mainly purchased this for portrait shots. Mixed with some softboxes, screens and defusers you can get some very acceptable images.I have also tested the fast shutter speed (1/2000), with some good light you can capture images of water or balloons exploding etc (see attached), the other attached image is on full x42 zoom showing a tower which is roughly 7 miles away, again pretty good clarity and with some more tinkering (this was through glass as my tripod wasn't tall enough) I could probably get even better results.Sure its no DSLR camera,

I have the AZ422 that I purchased from a different company.I purchased this as I wanted to try my hand at taking more advanced photos than the bog standard and maybe try playing with some settings.The quality of the pictures really speaks for itself, especially when you see some of the ones on here.It's no DSLR but I does a lot of the stuff that a DSLR would do at a fraction of the price.It is light and easy to carry around. My advice would be to buy a neck strap for it as the one provided isn't the best.I think my only fault with this camera is that you can't change the lens and you can't attach filters. But that's me being picky.I recommend this product 100%

You should ensure that items are delivered with working batteries. I could not operate the camera using the battery even though it was shown as fully charged. I was able to operate the camera when connected to the mains. I have in fact bought 2 new batteries which operated the camera perfectly!!! I would like you to refund the cost of these batteries - £21.90 - as a gesture of goodwillDave Evans

As someone just getting back into photography I have found this camera perfect. The fact it has a lot of features found on DSLR cameras is a bonus. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a more advanced camera than a basic compact camera but not ready to leap to the cost of a DSLR yet.

This is a great camera, especially for the price and the 2 year insurance cover included. Would certainly recommend. Comes with a rechargeable battery (but needs to be charged in the separate charger included) it does not take AA/AAA batteries as some reviews say. Can’t fault it at all.

Bought for my husband he is delighted with the quality of the photos, zoom is brilliant and photos sharp and clear. Excellent value for money, easily as good as more expensive ones
